Bubble tea business has fully boomed to be a heavy presence in Flushing, Queens and beyond. This Kung Fu Tea location is a booth space is weirdly shared with neighboring businesses of TKK Fried Chicken and Yasubee in a indoor plaza Queens Crossing of cafes, medical offices, and including pharmacy. This Kung Fu Tea is located on the street level within a small food court for ADA accessible. I came here for one primary purpose with disregard for other food offerings in this food court. Peach Oolong tea, medium $6.53 I specifically requested my default standard sugar level 30% or less sugar, but shell shock there is no such option and I inquired the lowest percentage for sweetness which is 50%. Thankfully, at 50% sugar level it really is not strong, not high intense sugary filled with syrup sweeteners. Former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg would be proud of my sugar intake level. I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. Yes, I control my sugar intake level. The regular ice was nearly melted, but my drink somewhat sustained its cold temperature. One medium drink with grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 $0.75 as my ultimate favorite default dessert topping is attained. I am moderately addicted to oolong tea and herbal jelly with a strong proclivity. Kung Fu Tea refers as herbal jelly. I desired this drink to be cold, no milk and no tapioca which my order is accurately fulfilled. It appears Kung Fu Tea is promoting Care Bears, fictional animated characters as the plastic cup and lid is adored including the red heart logo. Flashback: "The Care Bears Movie" 1985 was my first movie patronized at a United Artists cinema with my beloved family member. Ahh, nostalgia for an idyllic era in wistful times of what was. Terrible! Last night , June 6, around 8pm I placed an order through the app for 2 milk tea and 1 honey green tea. When I got to the store to pick up , barista said they sold out on the milk tea and to order some thing else, my husband decided on mango slush with popping bubbles. So the barista gave me to mango slush and 1 honey green tea. We didn't start drinking till we got home around 9:30pm. It was raining hard and we were drenched. I went to shower and my husband and son started to drink them. I when I came out - I hear them screaming and when I asks why... it was because they found plastic shards in the beverages and my son nearly chocked on one. I ordered through the self ordering station which was quick and easy. Ordered a mango milk tea with 30% sweetness, brown sugar wow, boba, and a regular amount of ice. Nice they give you options of how much or no ice you want. Not exactly sure what "brown sugar wow" is, I'm guessing cooked brown sugar based off from the internet says. Well whatever it is, I'm glad I got it. Definitely adds a nice sweetness and caramel like flavor. The amount of boba was perfect and I'm surprised it was warm! The drink itself was still cold thankfully. I really liked the drink, except the fact it didn't taste like mango. It just tasted like a sweet regular milk tea. I use to love this place but now days with all the new bubble teas around their menu is out of date. The don't even use real fruits compared to the newer places. Order a mango slush without any sugar and they stated it would be just ice. They use just mango syrup in there slushes. Newer places use actual mango when I ask for a mango slush. I feel like there are soo many better bubble tea spots in Flushing now a days but there is something so nostalgic about KungFu tea - especially their slushes in the summer. I feel like its pretty reliable and you always know exactly what you'll get. I feel like their tea trends sweeter especially if they have preset inclusions like jellies and stuff for their seasonal items so I recommend asking about inclusions and sticking to less sugar in the drinks. read more

I haven't been to this location in awhile, ive been getting purple rice yogurt drinks instead of bubble tea. This location has gone downhill. I got a kung fu milk tea with boba, 30% sugar and less ice. It was annoying to watch the girl make my drink and they don't even put it in the shaking machine anymore. When did they stop doing that? The milk tea was sooo sweet like it was full suger and the worst part is the boba were so hard. I could barely suck it up the straw and literally just a clump of hard boba leftover. Yelp reviews, covid 19 edition. This is one of the few bubble tea shops open in downtown Flushing during this time. They are open for delivery and pickup, and they are using tables to maintain social distancing between the workers and you. Thankfully, the workers are all wearing masks. This place has been around flushing for over a decade, and I remember when they were a new venture started by this Taiwanese guy who every Asian in Flushing is probably only one degree removed from knowing. This place is consistent. And they make drinks to order. I used to prefer gong cha until I discovered they did not make most drinks to order. The drinks are consistent everytime and that's appreciated. My favorite order is their green milk tea, half sugar, no ice, add pudding. Took a break at the New World Mall. Came to this Chinese American chain which specializes in bubble tea and milk infused drinks. There were so many drinks to choose from. I had the Ginger Milk drink. The drink tasted great and had a kick to it cause of the spice. I could come here every day to try a different drink. Once again this place is a chain having a few locations in the NYC area. Kung Fu Tea is usually partnered with the Taiwanese chain TKK FRIED CHICKEN which this location doesn't have. Recommend Kung Fu Tea. read more

The saturation of bubble tea joints in Flushing, let alone Queens, means even larger chains like KFT end up getting lost in the shuffle. When things got really hairy earlier this year, they ended up standing out the most in bobaland, mainly because they were among the few to remain open with delivery and takeout when so many places were in hiatus. That alone merits a thumbs up. I don't think I know of a KFT location bigger than this one, at least in the neighborhood. This location was at one point the main F&B attraction to Queens Crossing before the food court was official. I don't recall a time in which they weren't busy; certainly being the only dedicated boba joint in the place certainly doesn't hurt. I tend to prefer taro slushes in general, but they occasionally lure me with the red bean or mango slush on hotter days. They still get me with the seasonal flavors (pumpkin oolong anyone?) and I appreciate that each drink was made fairly quickly and with COVID protocols (masks, constant wiping of the counters, etc.) in place. Unlike a lot of the other places, they now enabled many purchases to be done through their very own app. Contactless with a little convenience certainly goes a long way. read more

This place is my OG Kung Fu Tea spot (even though it wasn't the original one in Flushing). They always nail their bubble teas and are always rather fast. Lots of turnover in their staff (oh young people these days haha), but the quality remains consistent. I usually get the regular bubble milk tea but last time I got the pumpkin oolong and it hit the spot (a bit sweet and can't be customized for sweetness as they use a pumpkin syrup). Otherwise you can customize for sweetness and ice level. FYI this place is in a small shopping center so lots of other food options nearby! read more

It's on the expensive side but for good quality Milk Tea, I wouldn't mind paying for it. The Passion Fruit Slush was amazing as well. Of all the Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to, this location is by far the worst! First time here and definitely my last! I ordered a combo and it clearly states on the menu that it comes with a classic tea or punch...sure didn't. Don't be fooled because this was done only during their grand opening. They should tell customers or mark it off on the menu. After waiting about 15-20 minutes for my food, I asked the cashier, who took my order, if my food was ready; he THEN tells me that I have to pick it up at TKK located around the corner and that I need a receipt. I immediately came here with my brother and friend after a bad bubble tea experience at Quickly. I got a medium golden oolong tea with little sugar and bubbles. My brother and friend got the grapefruit green tea with bubbles. Kung fu tea never disappoints-the tapioca was chewy and slightly sweet. They're perfectly cooked as well. The grapefruit green tea had real grapefruit juice in it, I could see the pulp! And since grapefruit has a distinct taste it's perfect with the regular amount of sugar. Just had a bad experience today. My drinks treated differently. I ordered 3 large strawberry lemon green tea with 50% sugar and less ice and to be shared with my sisters. When I brought it home, I realized that their color looks differently, 2 light pink and the other one was barely the same color where I usually got form Kung Fu tea. For those light pink color drink ... well! I don't understand why those drink were tasted watery, less strawberry syrup and even wasn't taste like green tea. It tasted like lemon + water with very less sugar and give a light pink color where u can't event taste strawberry flavor.It tasted very sour! Strawberry lemon green tea is one of my favorite drink from here. But this is the 1st time I had this nasty drink. Maybe their ingredients out of stock or maybe the barista is new，she tried to fit 3 large drinks in a 2 cups bag. I asked her to give me a 4 cups bag to prevent leaks if I carrying with 2 cups bag.
