The broth was super thick and rich with the most garlic flavor I've ever had in a bowl of ramen. It had tree roots on top, which I could've gone without. The sous vide chicken was so tender, but I heard they used to give chashu with the bowl before. Overall, my fam had a great experience here and most likely will be returning!

I've served in restaurants for 20 years, at elite places such as, Hillstone along with Chelsea's Kitchen and Buck and Rider, and I am appalled by the behavior of the staff tonight. And as a paying customer, enjoying a meal with a friend, I am very disturbed that they would kick us out before closing time. This lady walks around and says "closed, closed" and starts turning off all the lights. I said "Oh the website says you close at 10pm" and the lady with the top knot bun and glasses said "yeah, but no one is in here so we are closed." Ummm we were in there. Poor hospitality on their part. Not worth it. Go somewhere else. Sushi Michi on 16th st & Bethany, or Full Moon Izakaya Sushi and Ramen, is way better and they don't close earlier because they didn't have any walkins at the point, nor do they kick people out before closing time. Also when we left a car had just pulled up to grab dinner. Turning away customers is poor ethics on behalf of Cherry Blossom. No wonder no one goes here and everything is so out dated. ALSO I had asked for a wine sample to decide which wine I wanted and our waitress said "we don't do samples". Okay well every other restaurant I've been to and worked at has samples. We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

Kumo Sushi is an absolute gem. The place is small and intimate, which made the experience feel cozy and special right away. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The chicken karaage wings were incredible every bite was the perfect combination of flavor and crispiness. The calamari rings were also very good, cooked perfectly. And the sushi... wow. Every single bite was amazing. The sushi rice was warm and flavorful, and honestly the quality reminded us of the amazing sushi spots we visited in Japan. The customer service was above and beyond. Jerry, the manager, came to our table and was extremely kind and polite, even apologizing for some very minor issues. Truthfully, the food was so good we didn't even care about the issues at all. They've only been open for about two months, and they're already doing an excellent job. I can't wait to come back again and would definitely recommend Kumo Sushi to anyone looking for truly great sushi. read more

FOOD SAFETY CONCERN -- FOREIGN MATERIAL IN MY SUSHI…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Kodo Sushi Bar on Mayo Blvd. on Friday night, September 25, 2026. I placed a to-go order, including Ikura sushi. While eating it at home, I actually chewed into a piece of foreign material that appeared to be Styrofoam and had to spit it out. I immediately photographed it and have video documentation as well. What happened when I called the restaurant was just as concerning. I spoke with a man who identified himself as Phillip/"Philly," the manager/GM. When I explained what happened, his response was: "Ahhh, that happens." I asked if he meant this happened often. He then said no and responded, "You know what I meant." He also told me he could refund the sushi "if you want." I told him I didn't understand why I was being asked whether I wanted a refund after literally chewing foreign material in my food. Again, he responded, "You know what I meant." While I was trying to explain why I was upset and why I felt this should be taken seriously, he repeatedly talked over me and ultimately hung up on me. I immediately tried calling back, but the phone would not go through. This is not about a refund. It's about finding foreign material in food and then having a manager respond to a serious complaint in a way that I found dismissive, interrupt me, and ultimately hang up. I am sharing the photos because I want customers to see what I found and make their own informed decisions. I am not claiming to know how the material got into the sushi or that this happens routinely. I am documenting what happened to me and exactly how my complaint was handled. I expected concern, accountability, and an investigation--not "ahhh, that happens." NOT OK!!!!!
