When I later upgraded to new sensors, they came back to reprogram those quickly. They're professional, friendly, and clearly experienced. Onsite, they explained in detail how the screen sensors, hardwired system, and wireless components all work together, which gave me a solid understanding of the setup. Service has always been prompt and easy to schedule. Thus far we've had excellent service from Jim and the crew, and I highly recommend Security Alarm Shop.

We have had four different companies service our business for the last 20 plus years. We had the clinic hardwired back when we first opened up, which was like the standard back then. I really love the low maintenance and reliability of a hard wired system. Several years ago I decided to switch companies to someone who could offer more interfaces with my cel phone. I selected Aloha Alarm because of all the great reviews on Yelp. They were great at first and reasonably priced. I like the Alarm.Com interface and was happy. Then the panel started saying that the cel phone interface would need to be upgraded. They said my panel would need to be replaced and quoted me over $2200 for the installation? Seriously we were customers for about 4 years and the new panel was about $400 on Amazon. Plus they wanted another 4 year contract. I then learned that the company was sold and the new mainland based company did not have as much Aloha. I was out of contract so I searched for an alarm company. To my surprise Security Alarm Shop had great reviews. We had used them for years for our pagers. (Yes I know it's old but still loved that thing). Anyway Jim gave me a great deal on the panel (I think it was free, but I can't remember). This was over a year ago and they have been great. They changed the panel and keypads. I had to change to the Honeywell Total Control app which I don't like as much as the Alarm.Com but that was because I wanted a Honeywell panel. I requested service to replace a couple of old glass break and motion sensors which were 20 years old. They charged me just the cost of the equipment and did the service for free. Plus my monthly service rate is really affordable. I really like these guys. I was contemplating using ring security and doing the install and monitoring myself but as this is a business I wanted more of an expert to service and maintain the system. I couldn't be happier. I plan to install ring camera ms to supplement but I know the base system is solid.

I told him what I needed, and we walked over to my van to take a look. I have a newer 3rd-gen Acty--maybe one of the first on the island--and Kent took his time inspecting the interior to understand how the locks and windows worked. He was incredibly thorough, checking every door and window carefully. I was a little concerned about drilling into the van or interior panels, but he explained how their alarm systems are installed and even brought out some parts to show me. That helped me decide where things could be mounted to keep everything as clean and minimal as possible. I also mentioned that when I first got the van, all the doors used to lock/unlock with the key, but they randomly stopped working. He said he could take a look at that too. Kent walked me through all the different alarm options and recommended the best one for my specific setup, especially considering the van is over 25 years old. I wanted something high-quality, and he got me set up with a 2-way alarm system and the mobile app add-on with GPS tracking. Someone had missed their appointment that morning, and he was able to get me in the same day! Not only did they install the alarm, but they also fixed my power door locks--now I can lock and unlock all my doors (including the trunk) with the remote. The install was super clean: no holes, no visible wires. 10 out of 10--highly recommend. Aside from his professional and knowledgeable work, Kent is just a genuinely nice guy and super easy to talk to. Thank you so much--I'm beyond happy with my alarm!

It was the first time I spoke to an investigator that, gave me a very clear picture, of the steps they would take. It felt organized in my head. It made sense. So I wanted to hire them. I filled out the request for an investigation form. On a Friday. I got a response almost immediately. To sign the formal agreement, that they will be investigating for me. As well as an NDA, and payment. And everything had to be done by 12 pm Monday. Or they would not take the case. This was extremely overwhelming to me. And caught me off guard.. if we had moved forward with this, I would have been able to get everything done by the end of the week, I have other things to do in my life too. I called and office manager Vicki she would give me Tuesday noon. And also I had expressed that I do not want to upload any documents. I needed to do everything in person. One of the reasons I asking for an investigation, is someone has been accessing my personal information and has access to what I do on my phone. But I was still asked to upload my driver's license or state ID. So I sent a message asking if we can just cancel my request for an investigation. And I would redo it in a few weeks when I'm ready and I would actually come over to Honolulu and meet with them in person so I don't have to upload anything. I also brought up the name of someone who hires detectives to surveil me illegally. Another reason I needed an investigation. Just wanted to make sure that no one in there firm may have worked for him. I wanted to make sure there was no conflict of interest. It seems she found this offensive. And she went on a whole spiel, about there integrity and how they're investigators are all vetted. And that thay had all ready check for conflict of interest. This is impossible and a blaint lie. I sent them a request for investigation Friday evening, cancel Sunday. And Vicki claims in that shorts amount of time that had checked for conflict of interest, I had not even given them the name of the parson I wanted investigated . She said that she would go ahead and cancel my request. But that they don't want me to make a new investigation request. There are ready, full for 2026, and she doesn't think I'm a good fit because trust is important to them. I think if I'm about to give someone a large chunk of money I have a right to ask questions. And nobody should automatically trust anybody. Anyways I think they're a good firm if you can get past the office. I spoken to two of their detectives, and I think they have good heads on their shoulders. But they let me down. And that deadline was overwhelming, and I don't think that's okay. The deadline felt like a red flag.(Kind of like hurry up give us all this money for nothing, we're not going to give you anything, yet but you're going to give us all this money you're going to sign this NDA shut the hell up, you don't need time to think about it, that's what it felt like) Kind of why I wasn't very trusting. Not to mention the NDA was a little too much. I understand they have to protect the methods of investigation. But it actually went a little too far I don't think, that Vicky had good intentions towards me. And actually would have signed the NDA. What freaked me out was that, have to pay now!! or you don't get a case. Why the rush? You know like, buy it now or you're going to miss out!! your last chance like some crazy ad!! And even with and even with an NDA. You can still complain, if you get cheated. If you violate the NDA Thay could take you to court. But it doesn't mean to Thay would win,if the cheated you.
