The fries were hot and tasty. That's about the only positive thing I can say. Pulled up for the first time to Krystal and ordered some food to go. I had my family in the car with me. The first strike was my order was incorrect. I asked for a chicken sandwich which I didn't get. When I completed my order, I was told to "pull around". Then when I went to pay, barely acknowledged, not offered any ketchup. I guess you can say the service was lost in the sauce. The little burgers were okay. I love Krystal and when you get that 'Krystal craving', no other place is going to satisfy it. I've watched this store get 'refreshed', but there is no sign of activity there. Is it open or not? I too have stopped and found the doors locked and the speaker at the drive thru not working ... or maybe they just turned it off? I drove to the window and saw no activity inside. Very annoying that the lobby isn't open. We went here a few months ago and it was closed then too. There are no signs on the door saying lobby is closed. How hard is it to simply let people know? We watched as several people tried to enter and found the door locked. We went to the drive thru only to find out the speaker didn't work. Again, why wouldn't you put a sign up that says to go directly to the window. It's not that difficult. Seems obvious to me. The lady that took my order was very nice. I'm fairly certain this place would rather not be open after 11 pm. Three times now I have stopped here after 11 to be told they are pretty much out of everything, including some of the most basic items on a Krystal menu. Instead, I get a very short list of what they do have. This used to be my go to place to order, and used to be very pleased, but I guess I'll take my business elsewhere moving forward. Happen to hit this one at an odd time but it's quickly become a favorite. I've wanted to try Krystal for some time but not many available in the Charlotte area. Couple on the drive to Atlanta but that puts us at an odd time. On the last time we went to Marietta, big crash on I-85 South (Surprise - No) and we ended up on a scenic detour through Lake Lanier, Gainesville, Dawsonville etc which brought us in from a different direction. You cannot beat a family meal for $15 here is what was included on some late night eats after a wedding and how all things faired 8 Krystal burgers with cheese 3 chicken burgers 10 nuggets 4 medium fries So I believe this is the step child of White Castle type burgers, sadly I have only sampled the White Castle burgers reheated from the frozen food aisle at Lucky's or Safeway, so I can't give you a if one is better then the other. Of everything we ordered, the burgers are small and paper thin meat, salty but the bread evens out the taste, the chicken burgers same bun are fairly larger (meat wise) but also salty, think burger king chicken tenders. The nuggets are deep fried not like the McDonalds they are more of the breaded variety, they are not juicy more on the lines of semi stale, best to have them in the car or at the location as soon as they are served. On a whole after drinking this place is spot on to feed your buzz but on a regular day no alcohol I don't think this is the best of fast food, the fries when hot are good, not so much when cold. I also ordered the oreo shake, decent shake. For everything sampled and trying to feed your family $15 for the family meal is the way to go everyone gets a little of all the meats. I *actually* ate here for lunch--middle o' th' day, stone cold sober, able to afford any number of other available options, etc.--and I was reminded why I used to only eat at Krystal when it was 3 in the mornin', there was nothin' else open, I was hammered, much younger, down to my last few bucks, etc. Honestly, it's faster and better to just eat at a convenience store or gas station. I ordered and paid for soda, fries, strawberry milkshake and tater tots on the app for inside restaurant pick up. When I arrived the door was locked but the lights were on and employees were inside. So I went to drive thru window. They told me the didn't have milkshakes but the app would refund me. They gave me a "strawberry slush" and said that's the best they could do. Thought it was odd because slushes are not on the menu. But decided to take it as a nice gesture. I shouldn't have- It was red and white in color and had a foul smell and chemical taste. Then they handed me my bag of food and said thank you have a good night. I had to remind them about the soda I ordered. While they were getting the soda, I checked my bag I noticed it was 2 fries no tots. The clerk then told me they didn't have tots. No refund was given in person or reflected on the app or on my bank account. I wish I had read these reviews before going to this place. The Georgia natives swear by this food. I ordered for me, my kid and her friend. 12 with cheese, 6 doubles with cheese, 2 fries, and asked for ketchup. Waited in my car for 20 minutes, at which time a worker came out to use his phone. There weren't that many patrons, so I wasn't sure what the hold up was. He went back in, came out 2 minutes later. My sandwiches were cold, there were no fries, and I got two packets of ketchup. People down here in Georgia keep saying they're better than White Castle. After this experience, I'm gonna need them to keep White Castle's name out of their lying mouths. A "Krystal" is what happens when your workers make a lousy $18,000+ a year and on-site management just there for a check. No one cares or take pride in what they do. If I could leave a zero I would.... got there at 3pm . Doors were locked no problem expect I was hoping to dine in , ordered 12 sack with cheese and junk yard fries. Fries were a solid 3 out of 10 but were at least warm. Then opened the sack to find what couldn't possibly have been any newer than 10 hour old burgers. The "buns" were crusted hard and opened 6 of them to find the cold meat had actually liquefied the inside of the bun. Cheese was hardened as well not like back to normal. Made an App order. The app said it would take 14 minutes. Sat in parking lot entered store at appropriate time. Manager did not acknowledge when I walked up. She went in the back and I stood there without service for 5 minutes. The drive through attendant finally said that it will be an additional 10 minutes because they got behind. Three is nobody in the restaurant that is unserved. The drive through lane is empty. Anna Castellon is the manager on duty. I told her the order was incorrect, she grabbed it and said "it's not yours, fine." And walked away. Behind the wall. There is water leaking from the drink fountain with only a wet floor sign over it. Hope they don't have a slip and fall. Finally, the manager came back out, looked at our online order, even though it was on the app and paid for, she refused to make the order. Said she couldn't provide a refund. Refused any further service and disappeared behind the wall again and never returned. We got the corporate number after leaving. No answer, had to leave a voice mail. No return call from corporate. Currently disputing the charges with the credit card company. Don't fall for the 50%off first order when you download their app. Very disappointing because we really like Crystal and don't have any near where we live. What used to be one of the better Krystal locations in Atlanta has fell apart. Came in for lunch today. It wasn't busy. Only one car in drive thru and nothing inside. Waited forever inside to place order. The first girl asked for my order then walked away before I was thru. After a very long wait a guy comes out to take my order indignantly. He plays the usual game of waiting on everyone else after dissing me - but no one is fooled. We are used to the game. We know all the tricks. People came in, saw and left. Coke machine was not working. Finally got my order but it was cold. Then I heard them tell everyone else " grill broke" and that it would be 20 minutes before they could take another order. Krystal's won't be around much longer - sad. But it's not the economy or changing tastes - it's the people they have running them. read more

I have had great experiences at 2 other Krystal locations in northern Georgia. The location on Holcomb Bridge road, is another story... My wife and I stopped by this location after her doctor's appointment down the street. We ordered Krystal burgers with cheese but asked for single burgers with extra meat. I explained that other locations have done this, but the man wouldn't do anything except charge us for double burgers but remove the center piece of bread. I wasn't going to argue. So I placed an order for 20 double burgers with cheese. I was charged $47, which I thought was a bit high but I figured $2 / burger plus tax was about right. I wasn't given a receipt, the only way I can prove the charge is by bank records. Anyway, the man brought the order out to the car and we left. When we got home, I discovered that there were only 15 burgers in the bag. So not only were we overcharged by an uncaring employee, apparently he can't count to 20 either... needless to say, I don't recommend this location unless you are very specific with your order and count the bags to ensure that you have what you ordered. I will continue to go to the locations in Acworth and Cumming. Both locations had caring, engaging, and intelligent, employees. read more
