By far the worst experience recently had here. Most of the time food and service is good. However, the last time here was just awful. Ordered on the app and it would be around 15 minutes to pick up through the pick up lane. When they notified it was ready I was a line of cars which is unusual. People do not drive up unless they know it's ready, red flag for sure. Waited almost 15 minutes just to get to the window. Then told the person my name and he decided to do anything but grab the order. Five minutes later he becomes back and asks me my name again. Then goes back to doing whatever he was doing. Have dined there almost every week since they opened. Used to be excellent across the board. Apparently management changed in March or April. Service is usually pleasant and food comes out when it is promised. I love that they have a drive thru - no need to step out of your car to pickup your shack stack like at other locations in metro Atlanta. And when we have the dog with us after the dog park, we enjoy our burger on the dog friendly outdoor patio - especially during the spring, summer or fall months! Sometimes, the servers come around and bring my pup free treats, too! Inside, they have tv's that even show some sports games. This was our first visit to Shake Shack, and overall, it was a solid experience. I ordered the Double ShackBurger, and my wife tried the Bacon Avocado Burger--minus the bacon, plus pickles. Both sandwiches were fresh, well-prepared, and hit the spot. I was especially pleased to be able to request my fries without salt. They were basic crinkle-cut fries, but cooked just right--crispy and hot. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. There was a floor attendant on duty who was very attentive, though his approach was a bit abrupt when we asked for extra ketchup and napkins--he wanted a specific count, which felt more intense than expected. Still, it's better to have too much attention than too little. We arrived around 11:30, and by noon the staff was just starting to change shifts. I went back up to order a shake while my wife was still eating, and that part of the experience was slower than expected. Only one person was working the milkshake station, and it took noticeably longer to get the shake than it did to receive our food order. All in all, we're giving Shake Shack 4 stars. The food was tasty and fresh, but the service could use a bit more polish--especially with staffing during a busy Saturday lunch hour. 3 is a pretty fair rating I'd say, parm fry's leave much to be desired but the truffle sauce makes up for that. The truffle burger was very good and filling. The shakes however were very Mid and definitely not worth their price considering the size. There are a handful of tablets for you to place your order yourself, or you can wait in line and order from an employee. Ordering on the tablet is super easy btw. The food both times was solid. What I would expect. I don't love their fries, they need to be cooked another minute or two for crispness IMO, but their burgers are good. My daughter loves the buffalo chicken sandwich. The shakes are good, but borderline too runny. They offer refills on the specialty lemonades, which is nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful both times I visited.
