First things first, this location has a gas station where you can use your kroger discount. I'm always most curious about that when I search for a kroger! Now, I'd be happy to give this location a higher score, but they really screwed me over one morning after I pre-ordered some balloons. I explained when I needed them ready by so I could pick them up on the way to work and when I arrived no one was at the floral area, and when I finally found someone they basically acted like it wasn't their problem. One lady even tried to just walk off until I specifically asked her to find a manager. They couldn't even find a record of my request and refused to let me blow the balloons up myself (which I could have) and instead grabbed a woman from the deli who had NO IDEA what she was doing (because she wasn't trained to!). She didn't know how to tie off the balloons and when she handed me the balloon bouquet half of them went to the ceiling, I was already running late so I just ran to the register and paid (full freaking price for 1/2 the balloons) and rushed to work. Halfway through the day all the balloons except for the mylar were COMPLETELY deflated because they hadn't actually been tied. It was ridiculous and frustrating, and when I called to complain the person took my name and said someone would call me back and no one ever did. Soooo, I'm kind of holding a grudge. That being said the store is stocked well, and I'm giving them one last chance to see if their bakery department can do what I need. I'll update my review after that. read more

I would like to give a huge shout out to the Starbucks employees at the Kroger location in Plano, Tx. at Coit and Hwy 121. All of their employees are super friendly, effecient and always remember my drink combo. Me and my husband have been going to that Starbucks for six years now and we love our Baristas. Most days, there is only one Barista tending to the store but they are always effecient and seem to do an amazing job single handedly. I would like to give a special shout out to Michelle, she always greets me with a smile and a funny story, which makes my day amazing. This location is my favorite Kroger to go to. I like that it boasts many healthy organic produce options that are much cheaper than other stores. I can also find some healthy novelty items (La Croix, Larabar, Applegate, Amy's, etc) that clearly beat the price off the competition. It also has some junk food staples Mexican sodas, tortillas, and Tate's chocolate chip cookies.. I also like how they sell Silverback Gorill'n BBQ sauce. One of my neighbor's makes it and I really appreciate how this Kroger stocks it's shelves with a community gem. BEST BBQ SAUCE EVER! The service is always top notch and the employees are always friendly, the store is clean, the produce is fresh, and the meat counter staff are always willing to go in the back and look for something you really need, I appreciate that. The Fuel Points also save us big time at the pump, I hardly ever gas up at Sams anymore. Ok if you need to pick up an onion on a weeknight, but even after the remodel they are so poorly stocked, why waste time stopping by to look at an empty shelf? This is my neighborhood Kroger so it's convenient. This past Sunday they were out of: Italian Parsley; vine ripened tomatoes (two nasty looking ones left); pepperoncini; poblano chile; Plantains; and 1% organic milk. The day before there was not a jalapeño in the store. This is Texas, right? Why remodel if you're not going to put anything in it, and since the remodel their prices have gone up. This Kroger = bahahaha. It's definitely one of the nicer Krogers. They provide a few bulk items, have a good selection of allergen free items, and have fresher seafood than other Krogers. It's also generally clean. My rating is because of my experience buying a carton/pack of Larabars. It turns out - you can't scan it from the box, you have to scan one of the individually wrapped bars. **Ain't no thang! Well, this asian cashier with glasses couldn't get the wrapper straight enough to scan it. It was in between the folds. I guess he can't read numbers because he didn't want to type it in. SO GET THIS. He asked me if I mind if he opens up one of my Larabar. Tania says, "Uhm... yes." He proceeds to open the wrapper, scan it, and places the gaping Larabar in my grocery bag. WTF JUST HAPPENED??! I try not to be a diva, but this calls for it. Keeping my cool, I told him I don't want the opened one and for him to remove it. He did as asked and apologized - so no star was taken off. I just can't believe that he did that. Like, in what social contract is that acceptable? I go to this Kroger a lot, and I like it more since the recent remodel. They have started to carry "Perfect Fit" meals near the deli area. They are healthy, prepared meals comparable to My Fit Foods or Simply Fit. They also have a decent health food/vegetarian section. This store is always clean, and the lines move pretty quickly, even during the busy hours. There is also a guy at the meat counter who is very upbeat and friendly every time that I see him. read more

This is the best Kroger grocery store in Plano! The store lay put is open and inviting and the staff here are very friendly. The shopping center can get a little busy in the afternoon hours but the store does a good job of not feeling overloaded and the lines moves quickly. I really like this store and the night and evening shift employees are especially helpful and courteous! Great salad bar and deli and good sale prices! read more

This place is amazing ! People are helpful, happy, and defiantly organized and clean. This is a signiture Kroger. They do have gas pumps and sushi inside, along with Starbucks. The sales are always great here and it's definitely not as crowded as the Irving Kroger. The checkouts are long but the checkers were fast. I was literally in line for no longer than 10 mins which is great for me compare to what I'm use to at the other location. Here you will find all fresh fruits, veggies, and meat. You can also get plants from outside and patio furniture depending on the season. I like that all employees are helpful here and will literally take you to products if needed. I have had a great experience here more so than Walmart in Frisco, I felt very welcomed here because I just moved to this area. I would defiantly make this my permanent place to shop. Kroger has always been one of my fav places if it was a signiture location. Keep up the good work employees I left there very happy :) read more

I had a horrible experience with ordering a cake for my son's birthday party. I ordered three days before of the party. They told me you have to also call to a lady for decorating the cake and cupcakes that I did too. The day of the party when I went to pick up the cake they didn't find my order after 15 minutes, they said that the machine stopped working in the morning and they couldn't decorate the cake, so they didn't make it. I talked to the manager, and he even didn't say sorry for that and just mention that because the machine didn't work, they haven't made it. I was pissed. This is my neighborhood Kroger..I like it a lot better than some of the other Kroger's nearby. The one on Independence and Legacy is just old and ugly. I can never find anything I need in there either. They have a Starbucks inside, yay! The store always looks clean and presentable and they are currently undergoing renovations to spruce the place up a bit. It looks really good so far. I really like getting sushi here. I will not get a cake here ever again because I had a bad experience a few years ago with it looking so hideous. I wanted a zebra print cake with whipped cream frosting..the lady failed to tell me that with whipped cream, the black would bleed into the white and they would create an ugly grey color. So literally about 30 minutes after I picked it up, I looked at it and saw it was starting to turn grey. By the time we were ready for cake, it was almost completely grey and so so so ugly. I'm not a baker or a cake decorator, if I request something bad..please use your experience and let me know. Customer Service here could definitely be improved. I'll still continue coming here because it's the closest one to my house and it's rarely ever crowded. read more

It's sad I had to create a yelp just to post something I find absurd and ridiculous. I gave this place 2 stars because it's not all bad. The kitchen lady has to be the nicest person I have ever met. She's so helpful and loves to engage in conversation with me. Kudos to you! Cashiers are decent, efficient but not over friendly. Everyone else is just meh. What I really wanted to post is what I've been witnessing the past couple times I have been shopping here. There is a short Asian manager, not sure of his name, who I regard as extremely abusive. Two days ago, he yelled at a black cleaning guy referring to him by some of the most derogatory names I could think of. It made just about every customer near feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm a huge Kroger fan in general. However, this Kroger has gradually gone down hill since I moved to the area 3 years ago. Most of the staff is very unfriendly, store, dirty, and service terrible. I have witnessed on multiple occasions the deli staff being absent from the deli area or looking over at 2-3 people waiting to order and going back to what they were doing. I had a cashier chase me down and demand to look in my purse one day after I purchased a pack of gum from the self checkout. Last week, I was sold 3 bags of ice, though there was no ice available for purchase. Then, the manager at customer service (when I went to get my money back) asked if I let all the cashiers know that there was no ice left. Nope, I think that is your job. Basically, I only visit this Kroger when it is convenient; as it is less than a mile from my house. However, if things continue to be as terrible as they have been, I plan to drive the few extra miles to a different store. Side note: the Starbucks at this Kroger is AMAZING!!! This Kroger's bakery is the worst! The manager at 5 o'clock today is equally as terrible!!! I ordered a cake yesterday that was blue and purple, textured and ombre. I asked them to add a little bit of pink highlights to the cake. I got an airbrushed cake that was pink and purple. Not at all what I ordered. There was no texture nor the colors I wanted. I talked to the manager who said, "Next time you are in the store go to customer service and we'll give you 50% off of the cake." Like I want to go back there and spend more money. Initially, she said, "You must have the wrong cake." I said nope, it's got my daughters name on it. Not once did she review the order nor ask for my name. I will NEVER shop at this store anymore. Not to add, the bakery lady who took my order was rude. Saw me standing there and went on her 'break'. Then came back and said, "I'll take time out of my hour break to take your order." It was very condescending!!! As if I was bothering her. They are lazy, do what they want & provide terrible customer service. I had my ID "lost" several months ago by the cashier as I handed it for a beer purchase along with my groceries... she dropped it on the floor & accused me of being "crazy" when she didn't hand it back to me. She told me she couldn't find it and she didn't know what to tell me but to come behind the cash register and look for it myself. No sorry, no nothing. Just rude and irritated that I inconvenienced her. Had to buy a new ID a week before voting... very convenient. Now, months later my ID sent back to me with no letter or explanation after I left my name, phone number and the situation. And if they were to contact me, to please contact me by phone. I thought that was a fluke and gave this place another chance. The other night, I checked out (once again) at a ATTENDED register and after paying and leaving the store, I had a worker come running towards me outside (mind you, I am a small woman by myself at 10:30 at night) demanding that I come back in to show proof of purchase.... with receipt in hand for the single item I purchased. He told me this wouldn't good enough & I would need to verify with him before leaving the store. He made me come back inside, looked at my receipt and told me that I couldn't leave without clearing it with him. Uhm, what? Is checking out at a manned cash register not good enough? On top of that, when he said I could leave, he tried to keep my receipt. I had to request it be given back to me since I need my proof of purchase after being accused of stealing. I have never had issues grocery shopping in my life & this absolutely tops the worst customer service I've seen in the DFW area. Avoid at all costs if you want your ID taken from you randomly & accused of stealing. Word to management: check your security cameras. Have better common sense than to run and scream at a woman alone at night and accuse her of stealing when she has a receipt. I will never return to this location regardless of what type of "rebuttal" I will receive to defend this... if there even is one. Poor produce, expired products, employees with terrible attitudes. The only thing I don't like about Kroger here is the parking. Mainly because Texas weather is so nutty it makes it hard because you have to park really far away. And it's hard to get into the Kroger because its around a really busy street and highway. But the gas price is always cheaper and they have free tire air pressure that you can use any time of the day. This Kroger is 24 hours and everyone's really friendly the staff doesn't always know where everything is located in the store but they are always willing to help and they will try to answer any questions you have. I don't like that they don't have a wider variety of hot soups or fresh sandwiches or any salad that you can get when you want to go to lunch but they do have a Starbucks there which is nice. But it would really help if they had more of a convenience area like that that you can just get food just like the other Krogers that we have been to. I really like the self checkout but they should probably open more because I noticed that it is a really popular way to just pay for your things and go. I really like they're different options of food and dog treats and cleaning items in frozen items because they always have something that is within my price range and the generic brand at Kroger has is always just as good as the brand name. Your average grocery store. Nothing particularly good or bad. The have recently started stocking sodas from the Dublin Bottling Works as well as Cheerwine so that is a plus. Their canned soda though always seems to be in liquid damaged boxes and on one occasion I brought a pack home only to find that one of the cans had burst. I wish that HEB would build some of their stores here but until then Kroger is really my only choice. read more

Not my favorite place to go get groceries. It's alight, you can get some good deals though. I've had some bad experiences with the employees. Ordered a cake weeks in advance and come to pick it up and they hadn't even started it, made us wait 20-30 minutes without saying anything. They could have said something along the lines of "we made a mistake sorry we are getting on it", then they used the wrong icing and color! I went to target and got the right cake within an hour. There are people who work the self checkout that often do not pay attention and eat their lunch on the clock. One time I was paying at the self checkout and the person next to me was trying to checkout but it kept saying she needed assistance and after 5 minutes of waiting the person left and the employee working came up to me confused why there was something scanned and no one there to pay for the item. It was hot summer afternoon at 3:10PM on 07/2/17. I took my daughter to get 2 Macchiato cold drinks because I got buy one get one free email promotion from Starbucks. It turned out that the Starbucks store insider Kroger charged me twice. I showed my email to the sales lady. The sales lady paged manager "Ronnie" twice. He did not show up. We have been waiting there for about 25 minutes. I asked for full refund since she had not made any drink yet. She sent me to the customer service department. The lady at customer service department sent me back Starbucks shop again. Then I was sent to customer service department again because Starbucks lady could not do refund to my gift card. I went back customer service again. That lady paged manager "Ronnie" again. She told me that she saw Ronnie not far away. I went back Starbucks shop again. Ronnie finally showed up. I told him that I justed wanted to get the refund because I would miss my next appointment, He took me to the customer service department again. He told me that I fully disrespected him. Both of us should not talk to each other period. The customer service lady gave me cash $9.42. It will not be their first time to have customer requesting purchase refund. I was kicked back between customer service and Starbucks shop so many times. Ronnie was so rude. He did not even apologize to me, Ronnie, you forget that you represent Kroger store.
