Good fried chicken. Sides like macaroni and mashed potatoes were good as well! Mixed bucket of chicken was a good combo too.

Hot out of the fryer and every potato chip was crisp and flavorful. We both thought they were fabulous. The chips come with two sauces, a blue cheese sauce and a hot sauce. We really didn't dip the chips in the sauces because the chips tasted so great by themselves. We also ordered their meat pizza pie. It too was delicious. We loved the small cupped pepperoni and the great crust. Our server was friendly and informative, and we had a great experience here. It's worth noting that we got there around 11:15 and by noon there was a line out the door on a Wednesday noon. So this isn't a secret place to go. They have a great reputation among many other diners.

Food and drinks were fabulous however I will say they were out of quite a few beers? Kind of annoying when they have a giant "taproom" sign on the side of the building but the only beer they have available is coors light. Besides that though everything we ate was SO good. Definitely a more upscale menu compared to other places in town. Nice flavors, not too heavy. We sat at the bar and had Mo as our server - she was lovely! Definitely a bit busy - you could tell she was spread a little thin, so ordering took a little longer than it usually would sitting at a restaurant bar, but she was super friendly so no harm no foul! The manager is apparently very protective over his TV - asked to put the NBA finals on, and was given the remote by the bartender, after we couldn't find the channel the bartender suggested we ask the manager who knows how to work the TV, who promptly switched it off and snatched the remote from us Maybe he was a knicks fan lol. Anyways you def get the vibe that this is the "cool" spot around town, and the staff seem like they know it. Overall I wouldn't skip this places because it is good food, and the patio is pretty cool. Wish it was a bit more social and less chaotic!

We originally tried Brewha next door, but it had zero vibe and the service was basically nonexistent--so we walked over here, and I'm really glad we did. Sarah, the bartender, brought the place to life. Super friendly, attentive, and just a great energy all around. Service was quick, and they've got a solid selection of draft beers. For food, we had the double smash burger with tots and the artichoke dip--everything was . The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the artichoke dip was ridiculously good, and the tots were crispy, salty perfection (I'm still thinking about them). Overall, great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We'll definitely be back.

Right after my initial review the restaurant went through a management and ownership change and a LOT changed. I came back once or twice after the new ownership and the food was in transition. I waited really, another several months for things to settle down, and started coming more regularly. The food is substantial, first of all. Mark, (owner), takes immense pride in serving quality food. Pricing sadly, in commensurate with Sedona, but that is life here in the VV. There is smoked prime rib dinners on Saturday, Taco Tuesday and relevant holiday specials. But again, portions can be shared or you've got two meals. Win-win Management and staff has changed, for the better from previous. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. I live in town and we have few choices, but our choices are consistent and down to earth. The Roost is great for travelers and residents alike, who are seeking good food and atmosphere! I've been impressed with the sense of community the restaurant provides to all.

The owners, Suzanne & Randy, have created a special dining experience in the heart of Verde Valley Wine Country. This hidden gem offers an eclectic menu that truly sets it apart from anything else in the area. To steal my wife's description, "Manzanita Restaurant is a culinary oasis in the middle of nowhere, where flavors collide, and memories are made." SERVICE: The staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's obvious that they take pride in ensuring a memorable dining experience. We couldn't have felt more welcome or had better dining experiences on both visits. WINE: Manzanita has a decent selection of wines by the glass and bottle. It's not the largest, but there's something to pair with all dishes. Both times we had a fantastic bottle of Zinfandel from Geyserville, CA, which paired great with our meat entrées. The bottle price is very reasonable, as we used to be members of that winery and know what they charge. FOOD: Outstanding gourmet game specialties and German delights. We've tried several soups, sides, and main dishes and have enjoyed them all. Soups of the Day have ranged from Pumpkin Purée, Ostrich, to Manhattan Clam Chowder. Salads can be added as a side or as an entrée, including adding Chicken Breast or Grilled Salmon. We've also tried a couple appetizers like the Edamame & Roasted Brussel Sprouts In a ginger soy glaze with sesame seeds, and the French Escargot served in mushroom caps with garlic herb sauce. Main entrées we've tried include an Orange Roughy Special with red cabbage, a Manzanita Salad with Chicken Breast, Fried Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Bison Tenderloin with vegetable medley, Venison Medallions Special with a creamy mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, Antelope Steak Special, and a Prime Rib Special. There's nothing I wouldn't hesitate to order again. I'm half German and love German cuisine, but amazingly I've yet to try anything from that part of the menu. They have a couple pasta dishes as well. The restaurant is not overly fancy or extremely modern, but it's slightly upscale, comfortable, and the food and service are both stellar. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a unique dining experience, this family restaurant won't disappoint. We can't wait for our next visit!

Our meals were amazing! I had wild game bratwursts of spicy bison and elk brats with house made kraut and a side of spatzle. They were a special of the day and were excellent! My husband loves chicken Marsala and their marsala was up to his standards. He ordered it over pasta and loved it all. The ambiance is excellent, the service superior (our server was Eileen and she is the best!). This restaurant is a true hidden gem, worth driving to Cornville to eat there. I highly recommend it. I have only the best compliments for this establishment and staff. It is well worth the trip to go there and enjoy!
