Sarah, the bartender, brought the place to life. Super friendly, attentive, and just a great energy all around. Service was quick, and they've got a solid selection of draft beers. For food, we had the double smash burger with tots and the artichoke dip--everything was . The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the artichoke dip was ridiculously good, and the tots were crispy, salty perfection (I'm still thinking about them). Right after my initial review the restaurant went through a management and ownership change and a LOT changed. I came back once or twice after the new ownership and the food was in transition. I waited really, another several months for things to settle down, and started coming more regularly. The food is substantial, first of all. Mark, (owner), takes immense pride in serving quality food. Pricing sadly, in commensurate with Sedona, but that is life here in the VV. There is smoked prime rib dinners on Saturday, Taco Tuesday and relevant holiday specials. But again, portions can be shared or you've got two meals. Win-win Management and staff has changed, for the better from previous. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. I live in town and we have few choices, but our choices are consistent and down to earth. The Roost is great for travelers and residents alike, who are seeking good food and atmosphere!
