We stopped in at the Culvers in Payson on the way up to Show Low. It has some of the typical fast food items like burgers but these are butter burgers. And they have items like a rueben sandwich and custard ice cream and shakes. The staff was very friendly with us as we had a lot of questions. We ended up ordering chicken sandwiches and fries. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Fries were crispy and delicious. I would definitely go back next time we are in Arizona. read more

The lights are way too bright! But the cod was delicious, and they were very accommodating in sides substitutions and letting us have milk instead of soda. Maybe because we were in Payson. read more

I so like to go to places I dont have locally at home, and I love their custard treats. I got a chicken salad which was pretty basic. The reason I give it just an okay was my experience.... I ordered the salad and it sat and sat and sat while I stood there and they hung out by the registers. Finally I say hey guys that's my salad! They said oh and then look back to see where my order went. If you see a customer alone standing there then maybe just maybe they are waiting on something. They apologized but if it had been hot food it would of been nasty by the time I spoke up. read more

Culver's in Payson is not bad. Had to wait a while for my order. The tomato was not ripe and the bun was not fresh, but otherwise as expected. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. I got a double bacon butter burger. $15 for a combo. read more

Owner was really nice, offered to give me some coupons (but I did not get any coupons, which is fine) still came to try it. I had one of the club sandwiches. The bun was somewhat greasy and the sandwich wasn't staying together. My husband had the fish sandwich and also was not impressed. While you order at the counter, you can fill your drinks and wait for them to bring your freshly made meal out. Lots of elderly people there when we visited. read more

I am really happy to comment on Culver's in Payson! It is a good destination for hungry people.. If you haven't tried their fried shrimp, I find it comparable to fine restaurant quality. It is crispy and delicious. Of course, one of my guilty pleasures is their frozen custard. My sweet tooth never fails to be satisfied. There are so many ways you can enjoy this creamy, delightf, so many creative, delicious offerings to try! The burgers are buttery, the fries, fab, the selections, super! There is ample seating inside the restaurant as well as timely take-out service. Overall, this is a yummy fast-food restaurant to have in our town. read more

If you want quality fast food and great frozen custard this is your place! The staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions and are patient while you trying to decide on what to order. Their menu has a good variety of items from salads to burgers, fried seafood, soups, crinkle french fries, and of course their frozen custard. The great thing about Culver's is that everything is made to order. Then, once your order is placed, they give you a number, you sit down and they will bring your tray of food to you. Staff are so helpful and courteous that if you need anything like ketchup or napkins they will happily deliver the items to you! Great customer service! Love this place. read more

This is probably the cleanest fast food place in Payson, and the staff is exceptional. Brody is a star employee but the rest of the staff are also great. The inside of the place is clean and decorated with extra care. You can tell that whoever runs this place actually cares about the customers and what people think of the place, and the staff seems happier than employees in most places. Even though we have moved, I will never forget Payson's Culver's. The food is always amazing, and is always gave to you on a dime. The staff are always friendly, quick, and careful with your food. The inside is very clean and fresh, with TVs where you sit with trivia about food. And whenever you get a kids meal, you get 1 free small scoop of vanilla or chocolate custard! They every now and then have cool events like the diapers and wipes donations in exchange for free custard or their limited cake pops. I don't know how I got to this Culver's. My GPS told me to me to cut through the mountains to get to my destination in Chandler. Luckily, this Culver's was along the route. This Culver's was like most other Culver's I've been to with friendly employees taking my order. Their butter burger is still one of my favorite burgers. My wife likes their cod sandwich. My first introduction to the chain was on a country radio show the DJs mentioned them. Somebody said they would give In N Out a run for the money... I had to check it out for myself. There was only drive thru service, for obvious reasons. The line was pretty long, a good sign as far as I was concerned. I was told they were known for their shakes and frozen custards. In hindsight I wish I would've ordered one of the two, but I didn't. I added onion rings to my double mushroom Swiss burger, with a Pepsi. I paid and was given a plastic number for my wait. I was #2 by that time. They have 4-5 wait spaces. Let means they're busy a lot and that's a good thing. I waited maybe five minutes before my food was delivered. I pulled over to the parking spaces so I could eat safely and uninterrupted. The burger was very, very tasty and juicy. The onion rings were great for being frozen... I was highly impressed. I did order a side of ranch, but I was disappointed when I saw it was in a premade dressing container. I was hoping for a little clear vessel with fresh ranch. Overall my experience was great. This was the best Culver's I've ever been to! It was so sparkling clean inside, I was shocked! Every Culver's I've been to inArizona has been dirty. Not this location. You could see the clean! We often stop here on the way back from Show Low, and it has been good in the past. However when we were there recently, our take out order sat on the shelf for more than 5 minutes while the packer (the guy setting up trays and putting stuff in boxes) did other stuff, talked to other staff, and generally did anything except his job, to the point that when we ate the food, it was not warm. Then also, the chocolate malt was mis-made, tasted awful, like triple the normal amount of chocolate or something. We threw it out. First off, I was struck by the friendliness when I entered. I was greeted by a genuine, "Hi! Welcome to Culver's!" I've stopped here a few times driving to or from Albuquerque for my frozen custard fix. The food is standard custard fair. In terms of Wisconsin standards it's ok, but it's great to find cheese curds and frozen custard in Arizona. The bathrooms are clean which is also nice because it's usually a well timed pit stop on my drive. Overall, very friendly, great customer service, standard Culver's food, clean bathrooms. read more
