Stopped in for lunch at the Payson Chili's, we arrived just before lunch time & were quickly seated & asked if we were club members which we weren't but now are. The restaurant is your typical sports bar setting with sports quietly on in the background. The restaurant including restrooms was clean & the staff was very attentive at keeping it that way, especially on a busy Rodeo Weekend. Madyson our server did an excellent job explaining the menu, perks of joining the club & making sure we enjoyed our meal. Our meals came out hot, quickly & were delicious. Hubby had the Big QP burger plain with fries & opted for chips & salsa to go. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta which was amazingly delicious with loaded potato soup & coke to go. I also needed a to go box for my pasta as the serving was huge. I ordered the Popping Boba Margarita the May drink special & it was delicious just the right amount of sweet to sour ratio. This might have been my first experience at Chilis, and it definitely made me want to come back. I stopped in after a hike I did close by, and was disappointed at first that i missed happy hour by 5 minutes, but that disappointed quickly went away as I saw their various other deals. For $16.99, I got a soup, two sides and a 6 oz steak with a drink. The portions were massive, from the drink sizes to the food. I had an order to go and Uber eats picked it up. It was picked up and delivered immediately. I watched that but my soup is cold and salty and I'm pretty sure that my bowl of soup did not fit in the small paper container. It's soup. I usually love a chilies, however the side salad tasted like fish the water cups were dirty. And they can't tell the difference between a real and fake Id. They wouldn't serve me a drink because of the thought that my ID was fake(it's real). Along with that the server was horrible and the waitstaff was on their phones the whole time when we needed something at our table. The restaurant was clean and the service was professional and attentive. I had a turkey club sandwich which was excellent. Even the tomato was ripe and fresh. Went in today with a friend we sat at a booth in the bar, the music was very loud & asked politely if they could turn it down, we had ordered wine the hostess came back & said that they could not it was controlled by corporate! After a camping trip with my friends we stopped at this Chili's for lunch, as a group of people who love going to Chili's, we were very excited to show our one friend her first time eating there! However our experience was more than subpar. Our server seemed immediately irritated from first touch at the table simply taking our drink orders. We each ordered appetizers, entrees, sides, and alcoholic beverages, making for quite the tab. Throughout the service our server was nowhere to be seen only refilling a few of our drinks at the very end of the meal. Multiple of our food items were undercooked/soggy/cold. As we sat all very clearly done eating, ready for boxes we watched as seemingly every member of the team actively avoided our table. After a while of this we decided to ask a server in a near by section to which he made direct eye contact with us, chuckled and walked into the kitchen. We then proceeded to ask another server who also very clearly actively ignored us. As a group of 5 people who all work or have worked in the hospitality industry for a long time, this level of disrespect and ignorance from an entire service team is asinine. It was immensely clear that your team took one look at our group and made a summation of the type of patrons we would be and acted accordingly, an absolute ridiculous practice in a hospitality based industry. The food is good however the service level is questionable. The order is always incomplete and something is always forgotten. This visit we ordered steak fajitas trio and upon getting home we realized none of the fixings were present no tortillas, no cheese' no sour cream basically just the fajitas. Chilies are all pretty much the same with a similar look and feel, and of course the same menus. That's ok because you know what you are getting. We stopped for lunch on a recent trip to Payson. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, my husband had the chicken enchiladas and our son had the kids pizza. The food was decent and it was served quickly. Our waiter went in for the hard sell with appetizers and additional cost options which got annoying quick but we stuck to our guns and ordered only what we wanted. No one wanted to drive home to Phoenix stuffed from way too big a lunch. I like their little kiosk on the table that lets you pay when you are ready without waiting for the waiter. My family and I frequently visit many different Chili's around Arizona. While recently camping in the payson area we treated ourselves to a trip to town for a taste of civilization. With four of us in our party, we all agreed "this is the worst." I personally ordered the smokehouse combo with brisket and sausage. What I received was a muddy pile of gelatinous goo that I could not eat. I wrapped it up for my dogs and two of the three turned their nose up at it. I'm not kidding. Bottom line, when corporate chili's was establishing the new store training schedule for the kitchen staff...they must have forgot all about the little store in Payson. And another incident that occurred last week, I sat at the bar and ordered lunch. The place was mildly busy. After sitting there for 20 minutes and I already had two drinks, one of the waitstaff came up to me and informed me that they hadn't even started on my ticket yet. Claimed that the order had not printed in the kitchen, I've never verified whether that was true or not. The lame part about this is they didn't offer anything. Meaning a percentage off the meal or a free meal or a free drink or something. Because they made no offer to make it right, I paid my drinks left a tip and left. The only good thing I can say about this is that corporate Julie's agreed with my assessment they should've offered something and at least try to make it right by sending me some gift certificates. However, I won't be going back to that Chiles anytime soon or I might go over to the one in Longview. I suggestion is go back to Applebee's. Normally this wouldn't warrant a bad review but I had told the lady who answered the phone my exact order and my parking spot and she still messed it up. We thought our order would feed two of us, based on the menu photo, but when we got it it was just enough for one.
