The service is what primarily hurt this review. The staff behind the registers were very rude and seemingly impatient with the customers trying to pay. As always, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are delicious and I highly recommend eating at one if you haven't ever tried it. Yes, I did it. I could not stop myself from going in when that red light turned on. The freshly fried and dipped donut came off the belt, I had to have it. The sinful hot off the press original glazed donut just melted in my mouth. Line was very long for glazed donuts. They have a special going on where if the Carolina Panthers win on Sunday you get 2 dozen donuts for the price of 1 that following Monday. After waiting about 15-20 min we got our donuts and good god they were the best I've ever had. Fresh from the conveyor belt and they even gave us an extra 2 donuts. I was in heaven. This review is solely based on treatment of employees - There was an older man working at the counter and you could tell he was already struggling a bit to keep up. Then the woman working the drive thru who had long braids was being rude to him and telling him he needed to be promoting something, when he told her he had been, she just caught an attitude and said he needed to do it all night. She couldn't just give him a break she had to just keep being rude when he obviously didn't deserve that and he was trying his best to keep up the pace at a busy time. I felt really bad for him because he was super sweet and nice, very helpful. He didn't ever get rude back towards her when really he had every right to. They should fire her cause she's terrible. I didn't catch her name but she was shorter, heavier set, and had long black braids. The man was an older white man with grey hair. Promote him, fire her. read more

I live in Baltimore and it nearly broke my heart when the Krispy Kreme up the street from us closed and since the nearest location now is about 40 miles away we rarely get to indulge so I was thrilled to not only find a Krispy Kreme in Myrtle Beach but one with the Hot Donuts sign shining brightly. First thing I noticed when we walked in was that they offer a lot more choices than I remember them ever having, with choices like Nutter Butter, Cake Batter and Chips Ahoy along with familiar favorites like glazed & chocolate frosted among others. We decided on a half dozen and chose Nutter Butter, Blueberry Cake, Chocolate with Sprinkles, Raspberry filled and 2 Original Glazed. Even though the case was fully stocked I was so happy that the lady who waited on us got 2 hot glazed that just came off the conveyor belt - talk about melt in your mouth, trip down memory lane yumminess. As soon as we got in the car I took a bite of that warm, fluffy glazed donut and the memories came rushing back, I wolfed it down in less than a few minutes and had to stop myself from running back in for a dozen of them. This location has a nice seating area and lots of parking and the staff is so welcoming. We stopped in on our way home for a couple of glazed for our ride home and now I can't stop thinking about them. Looking forward to next year's vacation but in the meantime I guess we'll be taking some roadtrips to the closest Krispy Kreme. read more

This is always a great store to get fresh and great glazed donuts. I wanted to make a message for Yelp just so that you guys can update closing time for this location. It's actually 11:00pm rather than Midnight. We pulled up to the shop and noticed all lights off with chairs on tables. We decided to drive into the drive thru and spotted the schedule and their closing time was actually 11 but I thought it would be midnight because that is what I saw here. I usually have an okay experience at this location but today it was so bad I had to make a review in hopes a manager or someone will see! We went through the drive-thru & simply ordered a sprinkled donut and the banana pudding donut with an iced latte drink. We get to the window and Michelle says "$15 and some change..." My friend driving said "it's that much for 2 donuts and a drink?" She then gets an attitude and says "you ordered 2 dozen glazed" and they go back and forth and she makes a point to say that's what we ordered and we were basically lying about what we said. My friend then said well I don't care, that's not what we orderedand she says "well I don't care either" and says "well I have to cancel this whole order out and start all over" uhm why didn't you do that 5 minutes ago instead of arguing!! I could even watch anymore I asked my friend to just leave but he keep his cool. Turns out the car behind us was the one that ordered the 2 dozen, no apologies or anything. I just truly can't stand rude customer service. How are you going to tell me what I ordered?! I work in retail and I know the "customers are always right" quote is a little extreme but atleast have some respect Esp if I'm telling you I didn't order 2 dozen when I only asked for 2 donuts specifically! Beware: they do not offer Free Doughnuts when their light is on. While driving by the other night, our family stopped in while their "Hot and Fresh" light was on. My four year old was super excited to get his free doughnut. Even though EVERY other Krispy Kreme I've ever been to offers a free doughnut when the light's on, this one does not. This is the worst Krispy Kreme I've ever been to. When I first got there I saw the hot and ready sign was on, and when I got my donuts they were cold. Also when I entered I asked for four glazed donuts and nobody there even knew the price for it. The person serving me had to ask me for the price. Also my mother had a lemon filled glazed donut and when she got it there was no fill in it. When she called them they put her on hold for a long time, and never got back to her. The drive through and parking lot were packed even at 10:00 at night. We got a dozen mixed. The dark chocolate was delicious. I did not like that I had to pay more for "speciality doughnuts" like the peach pie and lemon cake. Both were weird and not that good. I would say stick to the original or things with chocolate! I also thought they were pricey $11 for a dozen, but while on vacation we splurged. Definitely the hot original were the best! read more
