Oh Krispy Kreme, how I missed you! We're vacationing on the beach and my brother in law said, I wonder if there are any Krispy Kreme nearby. I type into Yelp and it's around the corner from our hotel?! I ran out screaming: Let the light be on! Sure enough, the light is on and the hot doughnuts are on the conveyor belt about to get glazed. There are few smells I love: My wife's neck smells like Disneyworld My Corvette exhaust Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the conveyor belt The counterperson was cool, he stepped aside and let me snap a few pictures. Tony and I stopped here while at the beach to get breakfast and to redeem my coupon for a Free Dozen Glazed Doughnuts for my birthday as a Rewards Member. I knew that an entire dozen was too much for just Tony and I, so I asked her if I could just get half a dozen but she wouldn't let me. I just couldn't get her to understand I didn't want to waste food. So, after 20 minutes I just decided to take the whole dozen. They now offer the new 3 pack donuts perfect for Me, Myself & I and they come in a cute little box. Prices range for original glaze 3.09 to custom assortment 3.80. We came on a Wednesday night around 8:30 and the line was pretty long both outside and in. We decided to go through the drive through. We ordered a custom assortment with two original glaze and one glaze cake donut. We ordered our donuts and waited in line for about 30 minutes before backing out of line and returning to our resort. When we exited the line there were people standing outside waiting as well. My reason for the three stars is because I had my tummy set on those and I waited and waited but the line did not move. read more

One of the workers was one of the rudest people I have ever met. She had an irritated face as soon as we walked in and couldn't stand that we didn't know what we wanted as soon as we got there and said "do you know what you want yet?" then rolled her eyes when we said no. She rang us up and we both ordered iced drinks, and gave my friend attitude and a hard time when she put it in hot and my friend said it was iced. Then she handed her the first drink and my friend asked if that was the iced latte or the iced coffee and she rudely said that the coffee was hot and my friend said it was iced. She gave the worker the cup to make it and said "apparently it's iced now" and rolled her eyes and huffed. She proceeded to give other customers attitude and you could tell it wasn't a good vibe. Multiple people either walked out with empty hands or with a visibly upset face and shaking their heads. One looked at me and said he could not believe this place. Very unsatisfied with the service and the complete lack of common decency and utter disrespect. I cannot believe that people like this are allowed to treat customers like that. Well we were looking for a coffee after all the other places had closed we actually wanted a caramel macchiato I figured we had no chance so I checked yelp and after quite a bit of searching I found Krispy Kreme I though huh I had forgotten about them we went in and ordered 2 macchiatos and one glazed donut Total wait time was about 10 min not great but not a bummer we were enjoying each others company so no worries Anyways while we sit there we see a big ??100 gallon trash can sitting at the end of the doughnut machine the track they roll on The doughnuts were rolling straight into the trash can I asked ahh why are all the doughnuts rolling into the trash can The manager said oh those are bad doughnuts While we sat there we saw them replace the trash can 5 times total of 6 cans when we left still rolling Onto the macchiato's the only thing it was we Litteraly watched them make them straight espresso like 75% of the cup (we had mediums ) and then pours cold 2% milk in them and a tiny squirt of I guess caramel but if you read the description you know they could have put a quarter cup in you would not taste anything except crazy sharp bean (I thought I liked a beans coffee lol ) I mean how many shots ?? Well over 15-20 shots of espresso most shops use 1 some use 2 That is absolutely nuts On to the doughnut it was absolutely undercooked and doughy I've never experienced a doughy doughnut I mean the dough was still raw in middle with glaze it was piping hot fresh but just not cooked The lady manager simply should not work in the manager capacity Must have wasted a ton of the company's money in terms of several trash cans of doughnuts just rolled straight into the can and the amount of espresso We really don't like to complain to much we simply sat down looked at what we bought for $10 for a min or 2 and simply left it there Good luck I cannot imagine anything at all from this location being palatable read more

I wanted to stop by this since it's banned in Massachusetts!!! We came in and the store wasn't that busy. We waited to be the next costumer and then this man asked what we wanted. I didn't want the whole dozen box so I just got a variety of 4 pieces of donuts. We were kind of undecided but the guy was kind of frustrated and was like "can you just tell me how many you want so we can go on" or something like he wanted us to hurry up our order. There were some people after us but so what were costumers too! We can take our time if we want they just have to wait. But we just ordered a little bit faster and got 4 donuts paid and left. We're not from this state so they should be a little more considerate. Anyways. We left and walked back to our hotel. Sorry to say this, but this is the worst location of Krispy Kreme we have been to. The employees don't care. They didn't have the ingredients available to make any frozen drinks, so my wife ordered an iced latte. The guy who made it dismissively said "one of them (3 girls behind the counter) will ring you up." Then without calling anyone's attention to checking her out, he wandered into the back, away from the counter and waiting customers. For between 5-10 minutes, the girls behind the counter talked and ignored people, until the guy came back and mumbled in their direction, "ring her out" and waved an arm in my wife's direction. Only after my wife paid, the girl at the register handed over the drink. My wife got outside and took a drink and said it wasn't sweet or good at all. I accompanied her back inside to tell them the drink wasn't good and we needed help with that. When we said she ordered a latte, one of the girls (the guy was busy getting donuts for someone) actually laughed and said "we don't have the stuff to make a latte," to which I replied, "then how did you make a latte and give it to us?" She said "I didn't make it" so we clarified the guy had made it. At this point I just said we wanted a refund. The girls all talked with each other again -- very much in the way that leaves the customer out of the conversation -- and finally the one at the register went to get the manager out of her office. The manager did give us a refund after we explained it to her. But she did that with no apology, and no taking responsibility. And immediately after finishing with us, she turned to another customer and apologized to them for their wait because she "had been interrupted." I guess we were the interruption, not a customer worth her time. Yes that's a lot of details, but it shouldn't have been this difficult to get a latte OR to get a refund when the drink wasn't good. My wife is not a difficult customer; I've seen her drink things she doesn't like because she doesn't want to complain -- but this drink was not tolerable. The employees at this store need training in basic service like how to be kind and show care to the customer in front of you. Learning how to make a latte would probably be good, too. read more

Another place we stopped to enjoy on our trip to Myrtle Beach! We went in around 8:30 with no line, and did a mke your own 12 pack. We had a good assortment to choose from, several classic, and a few filled options. We also of course had to grab a few of the originals and the staff grabbed them fresh from the conveyor belt. Since we no longer have Krispy Kreme where I live, whenever we come across one in our travels, I usually stop. I went out early one morning to bring 2 dozen back to our condo for the family. One dozen classic glazed and I did a dozen of a variety of filled donuts. As usual, the place smells amazing and the taste is always consistent. I did grab an iced coffee, which hit the spot. Service was a bit slow, but in a vacation beach town, I let that slide. The LIGHT WAS ON, but they didn't give you a free glazed. That's just wrong, wrong, wrong. Ha Ha. We waited at the window with no one to say hello or they will be with us shortly. We came to the window where the individual stood and ignored us for a few minutes to see if we should be ordering there and misunderstood the ordering process. As she opened the window long after we arrived and asked if we ordered- we said no because no one answered us and weren't sure if we should order at the window or not. She proceeded to ignore us and take another cars order and continued to ignore us after this. I asked if we could order at the window and she replied- you're here now. And so I started my order which she then interrupted me to take another order. Her entire conversation and interaction was rude and intentionally not helpful. I was screaming my order from the window of my car and she kept saying she could not hear me. I could not yell it any louder. I am writing this review as we're continuing to wait an unusually long time for ready made donuts. I was so excited to order Krispy Kreme. This employee made the entire experience awful. I have a KK within 2 minutes of my house in Ohio, but in N. Myrtle beach it's not that close! yesterday I got there at 10 till 7 am. and everything was fine . Today I got there at 6 o'clock which is the time they have on the door to open it is now 6:19 and I just now got in because they didn't unlock the door. Guess what ? NO glazed donuts.
