Terrible service. I get that it gets busy there but I waited in like for at least 20 minutes to get fresh glazed donuts. There was a couple in front of me that received fresh donuts right out of the machine and they give me the ones from the back. Finally another Krispy Kreme in Northern Virginia (other that I know of is Alexandria). Very clean and has a large window to view the donuts being made. Wide variety of KK donuts - oncluding the standard issued Glazed donuts which are best when they are just made, Staff is very friendly and get your order quick. Even though the customer line was long when I was there, the Staff got people's orders filled quickly. There is a variety of hot and cold coffee and teas. Many types of milks and alternative beverages. Manager came around while i sat in the dining area and offered free glazed donuts. Great place to come to get hot, fresh donuts. Really good donuts. I only get the original glazed but I'm sure the other flavors are good as well. I also only go when the hot light is on because that's when the donuts are the best. I'm not a big fan of their drinks. The coffee is disgusting and their chillers are WAY too sweet. The drive thru line can be a little slow even when there's not a lot of cars. Great customer service is hit or miss here, just really depends on who's working that day. I would recommend this place just strictly for the donuts (when the hot sign is on). read more

Went there this morning. My son wanted donuts. We entered and he was intrigued by the donut machine they use for their original glazed donuts. It was kinda cool to see how the donuts are made. The place had a line of about 8 or 10 customers. They also had about 8 or 9 employees working. Most focused on production and only a couple focused on customers. The guy working cash had absolutely no sense of urgency. It didn't seem to matter to him how long anything took. I was already getting frustrated with the experience at that point. Finally as I am standing there another employee asked what we wanted. Originally I was only going to get a couple donuts but they looked really good so we picked out several. Anyway, they pass the box down to the cashier. As I am waiting for the incredibly slow cashier to get through two other orders and ring them up for the customers, I see them pass another order down and I see them pick one up maybe my box and apparently shuffle them around. Sure enough as I find out a few minutes later when I get to the cashier, they have messed up the order of the boxes and gave mine to another customer that paid before me. As I stand there waiting to pay, they are searching for my order and obviously can't find it. Then the customer brings my order back in and says is this yours, and it was. I asked them to redo my order with donuts that didn't leave the building with another customer already. No offense to the other customer but I don't want food that someone took out and brought back in. Three employees are standing there looking at me like they don't understand. I say it again and the cashier who is wearing gloves but has also touched money, receipts, the register, other customers coffee order, donut boxes and whatever else he decided to put his hands on, grabs a donut out of the box and puts his finger through the hole looking at it as if to inspect the donut for issues and still nobody says anything or takes any action. After finally making it to the window we were informed that we missed the order box and had to go to the back of the line and they would not take my order at the window. I understand that they are trying to keep the line moving however it was our first time in drive through looking at the menu board it did not look like a speaker and no one said anything so we moved up to the window. Anything I say about this place will seem negative to Krispy Kreme lovers - and I love their glazed donuts! It's like eating sugary air. They're so soft and small you'll be able to inhale them without effort! Today, however, I thought I'd try something new. I love fritters because of all the crunchy nuggety points that develop when it's being cooked. So when I saw it on the menu board, I ordered a couple and was really looking forward to them. Management must have thought that 3pm was a slow time because Grace had no help at the drive up window. I didn't get the happy "so glad you stopped by!" Feeling I normally get when I finally got to the window to pay and pick up my order. I got the box of donuts I ordered without any napkins. When I looked up to ask for them she was already gone. The box was sticky. However, I was still looking forward to picking off those crunchy fritter pieces. I got home, got a nice beverage to enjoy with my fritter, then opened the box. What the heck?! I've been to this Krispy Kreme about 5 times. This was the weirdest, crappiest interaction I have ever had with a drive thru worker in my life. When I pulled up, I was greeted. I asked for a moment, he said "sure, let me know when you're ready." It was a pretty typical interaction. After a few seconds, I asked which donuts they were out of today. When I heard there was a Krispy Kreme in Manassas, we had to go and visit! Opened for almost a year now, this place is located near a busy road named Liberia Ave. It's definitely a good location. When you first open the door, you get to smell the aroma of freshly made doughnuts. This place doesn't hide how they make their doughnuts too. They have a window where you get to see a belt of these fluffy doughnuts being poured with warm glaze. Now just imagine that in slow motion. My sister and I bought a dozen of the Original Glazed Doughnuts. We also ordered Sour Cream Doughnut, Reese's Peanut Butter Doughnut, and an Apple Fritter. There were other great choices to choose from, but I would always eat a Glazed Doughnut. We couldn't wait to take these doughnuts home to our family. So we each ate one Original Glazed Doughnut. Wow, I have forgotten how delicious this doughnut was! It was very airy, warm, and the glazed coating was just right. Made a quick stop to Krispy Kreme for the 2017 Eclipse edition of their hot donut. I LOVE Krispy Kreme (originals are my fav.), but I must say this version just did not do it for me. There were some left over the next day, and typically, I can pop that donut in the microwave (or not), and it taste just fine. Not so much with the chocolate version. Granted, I had to try one just to partake in the moment, but it would not be one of those "please bring it back" things. This was more like a once in a lifetime event which went really well with the occasion. One thing is for sure, the plan was executed really well because the lines were crazy for these things. Lastly, the staff at this location did a wonderful job with keeping the line moving. It was surely a team effort and I could not have been any more impressed with all the staff! Great job! read more

Krispy Kreme's donuts, especially when fresh off the line and piping hot, can literally be inhaled with reckless, wild abandon. They're the kind of donuts that you go "How the heck did I eat three of them already!?" But you didn't eat three. In fact, you ate five. Krispy Kreme donuts transcend time and space. Fact. But the coffee is disappointing. Donut shop coffee is the stuff of legend, yet I find myself whelmed every time. You might even say underwhelmed. It's just not a good combination and I don't quite understand why. The coffee's not terrible, but at the same time, it feels like they don't even try. I crave that quiet, blissful combination of a donut and coffee. It's one of life's simpler pleasures, yet the beverage selection is Krispy Kreme's weakest area. As much as I love their donuts, you definitely need something to wash them down (the sugar overload is real!). Believe it or not this is my first stop into a Krispy Kreme ever! Now I have had Krispy Kreme doughnuts but I have never been into a facility. Oh my God it is a whole different experience to have Krispy Kreme doughnuts right off the belt! It literally melted and dissolved in my mouth! It was a amazing! It was really cool to watch it get plopped into the hot oil and make its way out onto the conveyor belt. I recommend it to everyone at least once if you love glazed donuts. So I ordered two glazed doughnut and one blueberry cake donut. They were all delish. I ordered a medium cup of coffee. This is where they lose one star. The coffee is kind of just blah. I had a sweet tooth a couple of nights ago and slid into KK around 6pm. Now I know the original doughnuts are produced in the store and that almost all the other doughnuts are baked elsewhere and trucked in.....but that should not excuse this business of selling stale doughnuts! I purchased 6 doughnuts and even the originals were slightly stale. But the cream filled doughnuts were very stale. Left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. Management has to take the blame here! There has to be a way to monitor stock for freshness and rotate to the trash as applicable. Absolutely terrible experience and I usually praise KK as I prefer yeast doughnuts to cake doughnuts. I won't be visiting there very often and when and if I do I guess wait till I see the Sign Illuminated and only select the fresh originals. Shelf life is an issue when baked elsewhere and trucked in. Management please address this issue. Never had this problem on Route 1 where all products are baked in house. read more

Then, usually when you get the doughnuts they are hot/warm, but the ones I got were cold. Not only that but they were super stale like they had been left out. Lastly, the part that topped it off, as I was eating one of the stuffed doughnuts I noticed I was chewing on something that was definitely NOT FOOD. IT WAS A BROWN PAPER NAPKIN !! IN THE DOUGHNUT!! it was a good chunk of it that was just stuck in my tooth, that I had to sit and pick out for like 5 minutes because I was chewing on it for so long. I picked up a dozen donuts last Thursday and they were definitely stale. Plus, the blueberry cake donuts are nasty and taste weird tasting. I stopped coming to this Krispy Kreme (Liberia) and started driving to the one in Alexandria, Va (worth the gas). Each time i pull up (Liberia) and the hot light is "on" i get cold doughnuts. And i ALWAYS call before i come just because I've been through this wayy too many times with them. I called today at about 12:14PM because the hot light was on while i was driving by and they apologized saying they should have turned it off at 10 this morning. I was at this location waiting for over 30 minutes for a dozen of donuts a friend of the manager made a phone call and get a dozen donuts right away when I approach the window I noticed that none of the employees had masks or gloves including the manager. This is serious this is not a joke especially when you have employees talking to other employees on top of open boxes full of donuts when I asked the cashier at the drive-through why she didn't have protection she said just because she doesn't and I was in. No other chain can do it like KK. Even mom & pop joints struggle to compare with the sweet, fatty deliciousness of Krispy Kreme. Faves are glazed raspberry filled and glazed Kreme filled. Seasonal donuts are hit or miss in my opinion. Coffee; s what you'd expect from a donut shop, and the dark roast is tops. They have a decent selection of espresso drinks if that's your thing. The staff there are particularly kind & efficient. A young lady named Carmen usually takes our order and is always a joy to see. You know what do do...
