Seasonal donuts are hit or miss in my opinion. Coffee; s what you'd expect from a donut shop, and the dark roast is tops. They have a decent selection of espresso drinks if that's your thing. The service I received this morning was absolutely terrible and honestly left a nasty taste in my mouth. I pull up to place an order for a new hire orientation so I figured I would treat everyone with some doughnuts. I get to the speaker never once was I greeted, no one stated they would be right with me, not a single word. I call out to place my order and the guy then ask what I wanted to order. I asked for 2 dozen boxes of original and receive my total. As I am waiting I notice the vehicle in front of me is being handed their order in a BAG. So I pull up as I am next. I show show my code, pay, and prepare to receive my order. As the guy goes to hand me the boxes with NO BAG he hits the inside of the drive thru window and begin fumbling with my boxes trying to catch them. He hands me the boxes and my card so of course I check my order. I open one box doughnuts were smashed to one side but not on top of each other. I open the second box nearly half the box is on top of each other. I turn to try to get the guy he had walked away. So I tried to fix them. Realizing i now have icing everywhere and they did not look presentable to flagged down the guy to ask fora bag and another box seeing as they were on top of each other(because HE fumbled with the boxes after he nearly dropped them). He opens the box and state "...you want another box because 2 of them are on top of each other?" (Correction it was nearly HALF the box, I fixed most, and either way whether it is 10 or 1 that is NOT presentable or the way you would expect to receive your items) I in turn tell him "it does not matter my doughnuts were on top of each other." He storms off, gets another box, and walks back with the box open and says "is this better!" I state yes and take the box. I then tell him "the issue is you had the car in front of me a bagfor their order, hand me my order of 2 dozen with no bag, hit the inside of the building trying to hand them to me and nearly dropped my order. So most of my order ended up on smashed or on top of each other. He then says "well you never asked for a bag!" That does not matter if you are handing out multiple items you should present a bag OR good customer service would be to ASK if a bag is needed. He proceeds to laugh as I am speaking and close the window in my face. I had to take time to calm down after the customer service I received. I attempted to call to complain but could not get through. All and all that is NOT good representation or presentation of your food or service. If this is the type of service you want given then a serious evaluation is much needed. I am just one customer imagine how many others have gotten this type of service! read more

First of all, I love Krispy Kreme. Their original donuts are my favorite. However, this location is just something else... I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It took them about 30 minutes to make our two iced coffees. One came out lukewarm in a regular coffee cup (so obviously they forgot it should be iced). The second my husband was able to intercept and made sure it was iced, but the "mocha" latte tasted like literal garbage. There's no way they're washing the coffee pot. When we came about a month ago, the same thing happened with the coffee tasting like garbage. This time, they were also out of original donuts. Just skip. It's not worth it. read more

Stopped at Krispy Kreme to try the island time donuts and they were sold out. The key lime donuts were sold out as well. So I ordered some original glaze, strawberry filled, and raspberry-filled. I was surprised to see how compact the doughnut machine was compared to the Alexandria location. Once I was finished drooling over the doughnuts, I waited for the staff to take my order. I waited until they started serving the next customer behind me. That's where I had to come in and say I haven't been served yet and was skipped over. The employee just rolled his eyes and gave me a rude tone of "Ok, then what would you like?". I told him my order and then waited to reach the register. While I was waiting, it wasn't hard to see how the owner was in a funk and wasn't real nice to the employees working behind the counter. It's just plain sad. Especially when you go to other openings and see the owner greeting people with a smile and treating customer as if they were a friend. After reaching the register, I was having trouble with the app. The cashier provided no help and was basically giving me the look of your wasting my time. He frequently rolled his eyes and got frustrated at the register and at me. Every time he made a mistake on the register he would take his anger out at me, as if it were my problem, and he frequently asked me to keep re-swiping my card. It was so frustrating. Three times he called over the owner and she just rolled her eyes, gave a glare, and scoffed. It just gave me an impression of a very unprofessional working environment. When I got the doughnuts, they were actually pretty good. Maybe a little poorly placed, but they still melted in my mouth. Overall, I would recommend the Alexandria location if you want a great employee experience. If you can deal with the poor service, then I would recommend coming here. I usually go to the Alexandria VA location because for decades they seem to be the best in the DC metro area. They are always consistent with the product being to Krispy Kreme standards. I have been to many Krispy Kreme's on the east coast the locations south of the border especially locations that are closer to their NC headquarters are always on point and consistent. I say that to say this I ordered Krispy Kreme doughnuts at this location and all of my assorted filled doughnuts only had a small little dot of filling so disappointing. I will have to continue to go to the Alexandria location it's pretty obvious that this location needs some training on how to make the Krispy Kreme product correctly. read more

I was surprised to see that there were two tables with customers unmasked when we first stepped inside the shop. Also, in line the customers were not standing 6 feet apart. I've been here a couple times. They obviously aren't always making doughnuts and I seem to come in the afternoon when they've stopped but the doughnuts are still fluffy and delicate, with each bite you can feel the glaze become flakes onto your lips, your teeth dig into that fluffy goodness and for a second you think it's there but it's gone... and it's just pretty good. I usually get doughnuts at shoppers but those are way too big for just one person. Duck donuts is also good but it's a cake style doughnut. So if you're looking for the perfect basic doughnut come here. Staff is very friendly and patient. They have Krispy Kreme hats you can wear and take home. This place has the worst service. I placed an order to be delivered at 11am but an hour before my delivery I get a call saying they are out of what I ordered. Mind you that I ordered around 6:30am, How hard is it to set aside ordered product? The chocolate glazed is for one day only. Any time there is a special they do this. They used the size of the store as an excuse. How hard is it to just not participate in promotion if you can't handle it and not send emails about specials then? This is unprofessional. The manager told me it would take about an hour and 20 mins before they would have them and to order again when it's put back up on the site. I did that but they never canceled the first order. And even over an hour and 10 mins later they still didn't have the chocolate glazed donuts. (Even though they were on the site) How do I know this? Because they refunded me for the first order but did not notify DoorDash so the driver was still dispatched. The driver is standing there with them telling him that it will be another hour before they have the chocolate glazed donuts. At this point it feels personal and that they just don't want to take my order. They have since removed the chocolate glazed from the order website (typical) and trust me they won't be putting them back on the site even though the manager said that they would when they were done making them.
