All of my reviews are based on my expectation coming in the door. When you talk about a brand chain like Krispy Kreme, you already have in your head what you expect. Therefore, I can tell you, of the dozens and dozens of Krispy Kreme stores I have entered, this one was extremely clean, plenty of parking, everything front and back of counter was well organized, and they had a team of at least five making the donuts this morning. I ordered a couple dozen of the fresh, glazed rings, and a couple dozen assortment of other donuts. Service was fast and friendly, and everything I delivered to my clients for our meeting was fresh and well appreciated. If you're looking for Krispy Kreme's, this location is excellent. If you're just looking for donuts and you have never experienced Krispy Kreme, I recommend if you start with this one you will get the best of the brand. read more

I visited this Krispy Kreme with my family and we purchased a half‑dozen donuts and a coffee. While we were sitting and enjoying them, another customer mentioned that the store offers free donuts when the "Hot Light" is on. I wasn't aware of this, so I approached the counter and asked how the promotion works and whether it would be possible to receive the complimentary donuts. The two young employees at the counter looked at each other, made a cringing face, and reluctantly said it was one free donut per person. Since my family was inside finishing the donuts we had already purchased, I asked for three. Even as a retired military service member, I'm not someone who goes around asking for free things, and I approached the situation politely. I appreciated the donuts, this was never about the money. What made the interaction worse was that the heavier‑set young lady flicked the box with her finger as she handed it over, which came across as dismissive and unnecessary. The product was good, but the interaction left a bitter taste nonetheless. If the company policy is to offer free donuts during the Hot Light as a way to bring people in, then employees should be able to provide them without making customers feel uncomfortable. They aren't paying for the donuts out of their own pockets, and their reaction sends the wrong message to guests who are simply following the promotion the company advertises. Ever since this shop opened it has always been a terrific experience. Pleasant service, fresh and tasty baked goods and the coffee is the best around ( a well- kept secret). The drive- thru moves quickly and my order is always correct. I also appreciate the treat gesture that KK makes to veterans on Veterans Day. My husband recently went to pick up a Too Good To Go order at this location and had a very disappointing experience. When he entered the store, he was not greeted and was immediately met with hostility from Saeed, who identified himself as the manager. My husband attempted to explain that he was there for a Too Good To Go pickup and even showed the order in the app, which clearly indicated the Liberia Ave location in Manassas, VA. Despite this, the manager repeatedly insisted that he was at the wrong store. Anyone familiar with Northern Virginia knows there are only a couple of nearby locations, and we have successfully picked up Too Good To Go orders from this location before without any issues. The manager continued demanding a name and became increasingly aggressive rather than trying to understand the situation. A female employee stepped in to assist and de-escalate the interaction. However, the manager interrupted her, stating that he was the manager and would handle the situation himself. At that point, my husband politely said he would rather speak with the employee because of the manager's aggressive behavior. The employee looked at the app, immediately understood the order, and was able to identify what he was there to pick up within seconds. My husband is consistently polite and respectful toward customer service staff, so the hostility he experienced was completely unwarranted. The contrast between the manager's behavior and the employee's professionalism was striking. Given how unnecessarily confrontational the interaction was from the start, I am left questioning whether racial bias may have played a role in the way my husband was treated. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be spoken to or treated in this manner when simply trying to pick up a prepaid order. We have been loyal Krispy Kreme fans for years, but the latest batch left me genuinely disappointed. The doughnuts are noticeably smaller than they used to be, and the texture has changed so much that they barely resemble the classic light, airy original. On top of that, the price has gone up, which might be understandable if the product had improved, but it's frustrating to pay more for something that feels like a downgrade. FOOD We came in around 10 am on a Sunday and ordered two dozen assorted doughnuts alongside a 24-ct of doughnut holes for an event. The glazed doughnuts were freshly made and had a wonderful, hot and fluffy interior and a perfect coat of glaze on the outside. The raspberry-filled, chocolate sprinkles, and strawberry sprinkle doughnuts were standard, but the cinnamon roll (extra cost; 50-cent upcharge per doughnut) doughnuts and lemon-filled doughnuts were the fan favorites. The former was a great combo of a classic glazed doughnut with cinnamon spread swirl, while the latter was perfectly creamy and tangy without being too sweet. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. A drive-thru is also available at this location. We also came when the hot sign was on and were able to grab a free doughnut (glazed). This Krispy Kreme is substandard. This review has nothing to do with the facility or the workers, just the donuts themselves. Something is wrong with how the glaze is applied. When applied correctly, these donuts are little miracles. But every single day, at this location the glaze on the original glazed is mostly thin and looks terrible and tastes terrible. I have been to other Krispy Kreme's where the glaze is PERFECT. Just look at the difference in the promotional pic compared to the actual donuts from this location. It's a joke. Came for my free birthday original glazed dozen! It's awesome that Krispy Kreme does this & it's good for your whole birthday month. I didn't get any trouble from the staff for getting these for free either - you just have to have the app. The donuts were "hot & ready" and so delicious. This is always a pleasant Krispy Kreme location, they're clean, they have a drive thru and they have the full donut making machine setup, so you can watch those original glazed roll off the conveyor belt and into your donut box still piping hot (which is absolutely the best way to eat Krispy Kreme donuts). Besides the original glazed, they always seem to have the complete selection of specialty donuts available here, so whether your jam is the jelly filled, or the blueberry old fashioned you'll usually find it available here. Employees seem to always be willing to hand out Krispy Kreme hats (and frequently balloons) to the littlest customers, which makes it a great place to take the family too. The dedicated parking area is a little small, and you have to cross busy driving lanes if you end up parking elsewhere in the shopping plaza. Weekends can be crazy busy and lines long (especially when there are new seasonal donuts out) but it's Krispy Kreme so you have to expect that. I had difficulty pulling into a tiny parking lot and was almost hit twice. However once inside, the layout is very puzzling....there is no signage on where to stand to order so I stood at the cashier for 5 min being ignored then finally told to go to another part of the counter to order. Once i ordered the my donuts came quickly. The chocolate ice donuts are my all-time favorite and they did not disappoint today. However the pumpkin donut was terrible. I would of rated this 5 stars, but was a bit annoyed sitting waiting to get serviced in the drive thru and no one came for several minutes- I was even honking and nothing.
