BEST CAJUN SEAFOOD IN TOWN I've been dying to find quality seafood in Austin and I finally found it. I initially ordered the large shrimp platter, but I also got crab legs and lobster. Needless to say, I wasn't mad. The seafood is seasoned to perfection! The crab meat and corn is very sweet as well. Great food and great vibes. I will definitely be returning. read more

Well - this restaurant came with very high marks!!! My daughter in law gave high recommendations- and she's picky!!! So - I was feeling really evil and wanting to spend some money and... despite the fact I had toast and coffee late morning I'm starving!!!! I was hungry for crawfish.... but the hubster is not fond of any spiciness..... do you know of a crawfish boil that doesn't use Cajun seasoning? Well, me either, so when she mentioned " I really don't but this is where we always go for crab" and "we go frequently because it's awesome" I was like oh crab sounds great!!! It was very easy to place our order online. I had no troubles whatsoever and was able to pay for it and add a tip as well. Nothing I like better than doing pick up when everything is taken care of!! We are a little nervous about how it will taste when we get home and if I had realized they were open I might've thought a little harder about eating there just because seafood is so delicate but I will write up our review on the taste once we eat. This is just to let everyone know that online ordering process was great and that the customer service was great too! Well now that we've eaten -I do have a couple remarks. I like spicy so mine was delicious. I did remove one star not because the Hubster's was bad but because I was very disappointed that my husband couldn't eat his. I had specifically requested no spice-twice in fact- in both comment sections. When we opened the two huge styrofoam containers they were identical- which means everything in them had a visible coating of cajun spice. I felt I needed to take some responsibility , because it was a $30 meal - I probably should have called and not counted on the reading of the requests I made with in the online order. I rinsed everything off and felt the spice level at that juncture was low but- this is a man who thinks a regular old sprinkle of pepper is " hot" so it was a no go. So Buyer Beware- if anyone you dine with has an aversion to spice -if it can't be left off -then this may not be the place for you. I felt very bad and couldn't enjoy the meal either. read more

Can't list 1 thing wrong about this place! Even in a pandemic this place wow-ed me. They do have dine-in available but most people were getting to-go or working with food delivery apps. My friends and I each ordered a krab platter with a lobster tail and sat at a table inside. The krab platter comes with potatoes, sausage link, corn, and a boiled egg. There's a bunch of flavored butters you can add which makes it your own. They have a bar that is separate from the order counter as well. Everything was so good, and they don't skimp you on anything. I really feel like I got a good value for my money here. read more

I've been super excited to try this spot since so many people have raved about it, but unfortunately my experience fell short. I don't know if it was just an off day, but I wouldn't recommend this spot right now. I ordered the crab and shrimp platter with Cajun butter. The easiest way to describe the flavor was just pure saltiness -- like someone poured way too much salt in. The best thing about the platter was the corn. The crab legs were very skinny and the crab meat was dry. The sausage had a great snap to it, but was also insanely salty. I liked how the potatoes were cut up, rather than the usual whole potatoes you get at seafood boils. I also ended up with an awful stomachache afterwards. read more

This is located in a very small business shopping center in Pflugerville , but it's so worth the stop. My best friend , brother and I went for lunch (1-2pm) and we expected there to be a long wait but there was no wait. They sat us down fairly quickly. We were seated next to a bar, there is a bar! And they had drink specials. A couple next to us was drinking some really refreshing pretty drinks. I ordered the crab and shrimp platter with the original butter. I believe my best friend got the garlic one. It was all delicious. The food was hot but the taste was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend read more

Was looking for a shrimp or crab boil meal for my birthday. Wanted it to be a dine in experience. Called KK and their PFlugerville location said they were open for dining in. Drove over from Liberty Hill and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The place was very clean and neat. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. We each had the Krab and Shrimp platter with the Cajun butter and there was more than enough food and we went in starving in anticipation of the meal. Ample amounts of Krab, Shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn on the cob and even a hard boiled egg. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Now please, please, please, someone open a location in Liberty Hill on Hwy 29 west of 183. We're a growing town and have few places worthy of eating at. We'd even settle for a location in Leander. read more

Whether or not you live in Pflugerville, Krab Kingz is worth the drive. They handle online ordering and takeout very well, and even have a drive thru. Staff is super nice as well. The seasoning is fantastic, with a nice small kick of spice. The butter is delicious and whether you're biting into the potato, corn, or shrimp, it all gets coated all around. It's a lot of food, so if you have leftovers, the potatoes and sausages make for a very delicious breakfast the next morning. Time to get your fingers dirty! read more

Saw the special Krab Kingz offered through their social media page and I knew it was a perfect time to try this joint out! For $35 you get two orders of 1 king crab, 6 shrimp, potatoes, corn and one sausage link. I believe I overheard the worker saying it was pretty much a lunch order. I went for the customer favorite and got their Cajun butter as choice of seasoning. It was a great mix of butter and Cajun spice! The potatoes tasted superb with every bite from the absorption of the Cajun butter. As for the king crab, it was decent size but not as huge as I've been accustomed to. So there isn't that much meat but nonetheless it was good. You get more of the flavor on the outside layer of the crab so go ahead and dunk the crab meat in their butter sauce! I don't know any place in Austin that sells crab legs besides Krab Kingz, I'll definitely come back when I'm on the mood for some seafood. read more

Food was delicious! Had a good deal going on. $38 for two plates came w/6 shrimp,,1-crab king cluster,, 1-sausage link, corn & potatoes. If you wanted extra shrimp-$10for 6 more. They charge $1 for butter seasoning -which I would think would be your choice but I guess it's like an add on sorta thing. ONE HUGE drawback! Or maybe two.. hard to find parking but maybe b/c there was another event going on in the same parking lot? ANNNNDDD The big dooozie- it felt like I was in the club eating my food. First time here and OMG! Finger licking good (I actually licked all my fingers, too!) We ordered the Seaside Platter for 4! We added an additional crab leg and glad we did ! It came with sausage, potatoes, corn and shrimp! We got the Cajun flavor + Honey Garlic Butter recommended by the super nice lady at the register! We will be coming back ASAP! read more

Wow! Just WOW! I have been following @krabkingzaustin on IG for a few weeks. Finally, today I decided to stop in and grab some lunch To Go! It appears they have a drive thru, work with all the food delivery services and are practicing social distancing in the restaurant. All staff but 2 were wearing mask. The restaurant was insanely clean. They were even replacing the soda machine knobs when I arrived at the time of opening for business. They have a great system for to go cups never touching the one you are getting. Now to the GREAT food! I over ordered on purpose bc I can't resist crab legs and seafood. It was the BEST decision ever! $45 for 15 shrimp, 3 crab clusters, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 corns, and LOTS of potatoes! I didn't realize the amount of potatoes I was going to get, so I ordered extra, this was not needed but I loved them. I am happy with the left overs. They have lots of flavor options, I highly recommend the Cajun Butter! I did to go, the crab was a tiny bit over done just bc I had a 15 min drive home. However, I could tell they would have been perfectly cooked if eaten at the restaurant! Seafood really isn't a to go item but I would totally do it again. I will definitely be back and will eat in the restaurant. The staff was so nice, professional and helpful with all my questions. Plenty of parking. Only open Thursday-Sunday. They have a bar and I think they were serving to go adult beverages. The Best part about going inside the restaurant was the amazing smell and the loud hip hop music! Finally had a chance to eat here today. First thing you see when you walk up is a sign on the door saying "No Mask no service". Love it! I put my mask on and walked inside. We ordered 2 #1 lunch specials ( 1 snow crab cluster, shrimp, potato, sausage, corn & egg) Cajun butter and a extra cluster for one. Then a #2 dinner (2 clusters, potatoes, corn, sausage, egg)with a extra cluster with Cajun and lemon pepper butter. After I paid they asked if it was okay to wait 20-30 minutes, I said okay and went back to my car. They ask make and color of your vehicle and they bring it out to you. I waited and once it came out I checked my order. I'm glad I did, because they forgot the extra clusters so I had to go back in. They fixed it quickly and asked what flavors I had and they fixed them right up. I decided to get a Watermelon Daiquiri since I was there. They give you a to go cup so You can enjoy once I got back home. I wish I had asked the price first, I paid $13 and some change for a to go drink which honestly the price is a little high for a drink. I came home and fixed my plate up so I can enjoy my seafood. It was delicious! The corn, crab, and potatoes were great in the sauce. Now I'm use to vinegar in my sauce, so I did added some and OMG delicious! With out the vinegar it was a little salty, we all thought that. I love that they give you a whole sausage, I wish I had another to be honest it was that good. Now let's get to the egg. The egg makes the boil in my opinion. But I'm not sure what kind of egg they use because mine was hard like it was old. It's almost like they buy eggs already cooked and just add them. It had the texture like it was microwaved for five minutes. The price was good you always can make it cheaper at home, but always a plus when you take a short cut. Less mess to clean up and with the situation the world is in now, the less people the better. Will we go back??? Absolutely YES!!!!! But I'll make my own eggs at home, get extra corn and sausage and try a different butter sauce. See you next time. read more

We decided to pick up some food from here just because of this whole coronavirus, the people inside were really nice and helpful. We got two lunch platters: Krab and shrimp platter #1 1 crab cluster, 6 shrimp, potatoes, sausage and extra corn. I had Cajun butter (pictured) Krab and shrimp platter #2 1 crab cluster, 6 shrimp, extra potatoes, sausage and corn. He had honey garlic butter. We traded our egg for extra corn and potatoes. I was looking for boiled seafood when I went to austin. Looks at some review and decided to try this place for the crab legs. It's only have 2 long bench to sit and eat there but they owner provide an umbrella and really proactive to give us more napkins and wet tissue. I tried the 2 flavor (cajun butter and the other one with parmesan) both are taste good. I also impress with the crab legs portion with the price that I paid. I get an additional cluster to my order and it's really become a big portion of crab legs with shrimp. Really a good portion for the price that I pay. read more

For $22 at lunch, this is a great way to try this restaurant. The crab and shrimp were fresh and sweet, but man was this buttery. I am used to Vietnamese Cajun with a very forward garlic flavor, but this was very much butter/ salt/ Cajun seasoning forward. read more

Don't be discouraged if you see a long line at Krab Kingz Seafood Austin. They are super fast at the registers and the kitchen staff is quick on filling orderz. It was a full house for dine in this evening. Don't fret if you are timid about getting hands on with your meal. They have gloves to wear. Everything was so delicious. The food is delicious! We loved the flavor! We had a plate delivered. 2 clusters, 10 shrimp, 1 corn, 2 sausage links, 1 egg and one large potato cut up was $60. Wasn't enough to fill three people so price seemed a little high for just a weeknight family meal. However, if you are not worried about cost or splurging definitely give it a try. We were all happy with our food and will go visit when things open back up to save on the delivery and additional fees. read more

So glad to have this restaurant in Pflugerville for our crab leg fix! I dined in once shortly after the grand opening, and have ordered takeout since COVID and was happy with both experiences. Plates, which run around $20 for lunch, include a cluster of crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. Though you'll probably find yourself wanting more crab besides a single cluster, it's a lot of food -- we usually end up saving half for another meal. The seafood seasonings shine, particularly with the shrimp. I keep meaning to save room for peach cobbler, which gets rave reviews from local Pfoodies -- next time! read more

Amazing Seafood! I visited the store in Pflugerville and it was a little crowded, some people were adhering to the social distance rule. 5/5. Best Cajun cooking I've had in Texas. Seafood was delicious and fresh. Lunch was only $15 which is mind blowing for Crab, Shrimp, Potatos, Corn and sausage. Based on the price I thought about ordering a second entree because I usually go hungry on the smaller portions offered by other restaurants. This was not the case with their Krab and Shrimp platter. I was stuffed and ready to slip into a food induced coma. Go check this place out! COVID friendly take out options either via their drive through or by walking inside if you have a mask. read more

Upon walking in the door we probably should have turned on our heels and walked out. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they have music playing at UNGODLY high volume. The music is of the hip-hop variety and played over a decent power speaker mounted on a tripod. And once again, it was BLARING EAR SPLITTING LOUD. Hip hop is definitely not my thing, but even if it were smooth jazz I'd hate it played at that volume. But to be fair, based on the clientele crowding the place, I believe the manager was catering to their taste. Service was good, but their method of handing out your fountain drink cup was weird and a bit disgusting. Specifically the cups are stacked behind the counter, upside down as normal, but the top cup has a piece of black duct tape wrapped around the bottom edge. The cashier plucks the cup off the stack while grasping the duct tape, pulling the next cup up with it. I suppose this is done to keep their hands off of your cup, but the duct tape cup is freaking FILTHY, looking like it had been used for the last 12 months by an oil rig worker. As far as the food, it was MEH at best. The shrimp were cooked well but the cajun seasoning did not come through. The snow crab legs were also cooked well, but did not come with a nutcracker to break the shells. I was forced to smash the hardest part of the shell (the claws) with my fist. The seafood was served with lots of really excellent sliced potatoes and a bratwurst style sausage which was also quite good. One weird thing (to me, anyway) was a hard boiled egg rolling around on the tray. It that a common way of serving shrimp/crab that I have never seen before? My wife wanted to wash her hands before leaving but there was a line of women 8 long at the door. I guess there isn't much that can be done about that. The expensive cost of the meal combined with everything else leads me to my 2-star review. One and done, and probably crossing Pflugerville off of my places to visit ever again. read more

First time coming to this restaurant. They had a special going on for $48.00 and it consisted of 3 crab legs (not sure if I'm describing it correctly) and shrimps, potatoes and boiled egg. Our choice of sauce flavor was honey garlic. The sauce was delicious. We really enjoyed it. I wish they had Dungeness crab as another choice. It's more meaty and sweet. Also, I wish they also had an option of unpeeled shrimp. Other than that this place is clean and service was great. read more

Great place to go especially on Friday and Saturday nights! They have a DJ playing hip hop and R&B jamz from the 90's and 2000's. Their crab legs and shrimp were perfectly seasoned and were simply delicious. They're located at the POP which is convenient whether you're coming from Austin, Hutto, or Pflugerville! Had a craving for seafood on Thursday so I decided to give Krab Kings a try. I had to order online where a convenience fee of $1.50 was added. I ordered the Shrimp Lunch Special which came with 10 shrimp, potatoes, corn, an egg and a sausage. It was my understanding that the plate would already come seasoned with their regular butter so I ordered an extra side of their garlic parmesan butter to taste which I assumed would be packaged separately on the side. When I got home I noticed I didn't have the extra side of butter that I paid for so I called and apparently they just put the butter on the plate. That didn't make much sense to me because I wanted to be able to add it myself to taste the difference (if any) between the two. So just fair warning... add specific comments when ordering if you want extra flavored butter on the side. Honestly though I couldn't really make out any parmesan flavor nor was there any visible trace of garlic. The plate was good though overall. The shrimps were a nice size, the corn absorbed the butter and was delish, the sausage was good but it was just a little bit spicy for me and the potatoes were quite mushy. I'm thinking that it may have been because they absorbed the extra butter I ordered. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my lunch and would return again in the future should I have a seafood craving. read more

Update May 7,2022: So what a better way to kick off the warm weather season than with a crab & shrimp platter by the pool. Oh em gee Krab Kingz did not disappoint!! Delivery was great through Uber Eats & even delivered to the pool. The crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, egg...just so yummy! Fresh & delicious!! I believe the price went up a bit but so frikkin what!! Still worth it. I'm so sad I'll be leaving Texas in a few weeks bc this is my favorite seafood joint for real. In the meantime, in between time, I will eat here every weekend until I leave. read more

I'd definitely come back on a Wednesday just for those. But overall, between the lack of preparedness, the ambiance, the weird hours, and prices that don't match the experience, I probably won't give it another shot unless it's a Wednesday...and we want wings.
