Kome is a popular sushi spot that can get quite busy during peak hours. I was excited to try it after learning that it shares ownership with Uroko and Tonari, both of which I really enjoy. The menu is large, fun, and approachable, making it an easy option for a casual sushi meal. Unfortunately, the quality didn't quite match the price point for me. The sushi was perfectly decent, but it felt more comparable to what I'd expect from a casual takeout spot in California. It wasn't bad by any means, but I didn't find it memorable enough to justify the wait or the higher prices. I probably wouldn't return, especially when Uroko offers a better experience and value for my preferences.

This place is poppin on a Saturday afternoon. We got the chicken karaage, summertime, trio and midnight sun. The chicken karaage was juicy and the pieces were pretty large. The summertime roll was very good. I really liked the sauce that was included with the roll. The trio was yummy as well, but I'd definitely order the summertime roll again. I like that they gave us a lunch menu on the weekend!

This meal was the best meal I had while visiting Austin! The alone together roll is top 5 best roll I've ever had, and I've had hundreds of rolls over the years. You can tell how fresh the fish is and how much care goes into the menu. Every bite was memorable. I will be back!

Delicious! The picture doesn't do this any justice but I found this lunch amazing. Comes with a nice bowl of miso soup - flavorful and well balanced. The chicken skewers were well marinated and tender. I love that this bowl was popping with so many ingredients and flavors. This was my first time here, and found this service great. For a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy but I had no wait. Easy parking lot too! Check this place out if you love Japanese food. Large menu with a lot of variety. Great restaurant if your diners are picky eaters who either want sushi, rice bowls, ramen, or other Japanese food staples.

Sushi lunch, hamachi was especially so good this day. Chutoro (unfortunately, they didn't have the Otoro) was soooo tender, rich, the rice was well made too, I overly satisfied. Service was decent, hope they can monitor the customer more frequently though they have many for hall to scan through. Ambiance sometimes quite noisy if you choose the wrong time, I went on Saturday around 1 pm, so there were quite a lot of families fill out tables. But that didn't stop me enjoying my good sushi. Yum!

So good, as usual! My fiancé and I came in at around 12:30 on a weekday. It was pretty packed in the parking lot so we didn't think we would get a table, but we were immediately seated at the bar. We both ordered the sushi lunch special. I got mine with the sunshine roll, which was tasty! All the fish is so fresh and basically melts in your mouth. Not pictured is the delicious miso soup that comes out before your meal. A 10/10 sushi spot and definitely not one to be missed!

Loved this spot for lunch! Buta-kimchi was delicious- pork and kimchi combo can never go wrong. Also loved the gyu-don and the sushi lunch deal

Went here for my friend's birthday for dinner and everyone enjoyed it! All of the staff were kind and the restaraunt was a cute place for celebrations and dates! We all ordered rolls and shared with one another, including: nigiri set, spooky roll, superfly roll, rock n roll, and trio roll. we all split the takoyaki! for drinks my friends got i love yuzu much! and yuzu kosho margarita -- they loved it! all foods were very yummy! definitely will come back :)

Takowasa is not chewable, maki was good, karage was a bit dry. Overall okay place. Environment is chill. Good for family and friends. Service was nice. Will try more stuff next time.

What a great spot! Came here with some friends for dinner and there was no wait, which was great since it was 7:30 (prime dinner time), we got sat immediately! I started with a miso soup, and the kome fries, which were AMAZING i loved the honey wasabi aioli. Then came the nigiri and sushi, which was absolutely great- i got two salmon nigiris and 2 scallop nigiris which were all buttery and smooth, would 100% order again. Next i got the krab salad sushi which was just crab, avocado, and sesame seeds- simple, and refreshing. Everything came super quick, and the waitress was incredibly sweet. Loved every bit of the dinner! Would 100% recommend!

I love sushi and finally got to try Kome, which has been on my list for a while! They sadly don't take reservations so we waited for 30 minutes before we got a table. They do have a bench to wait inside but it quickly fills when there are like 5 parties ahead of you. I saw $$ on Google for Kome and I thought, shouldn't be too expensive. However, the portions are small so you end up paying a lot if you wanna be satisfied. The sushi tastes really good though! I would come back with a group to try more things We got: Nigiri set $20 Salmon box $20 Austin FC roll $18 Tempura zaru soba $14 Matcha parfait for dessert! $12 --This one was sooo good and unexpectedly huge. There is something like panna cotta on the bottom topped with matcha ice cream and mochi.

The food was very good! I loved the lunch box (it's small for the price) and the ramen takundo was good too. The service and ambiance it's very good! It was a good surprise

Kome is the best. The food is so delicious and such a fun spot. Decor is spot on and service is always reliable and accommodating!

Their fatty salmon was so juicy and I'm still thinking about it. Drool! I also had the fuku mule! I don't typically like spiced drinks but this one was nice and really tasty! My husband enjoyed his beers too. The service was nice as well. We sat at the bar so it was nice to order with the sushi chefs directly. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. Our biggest issue was that we were seated at 8:15 and told half an hour later that they were closing an hour early and enforcing last call. Beyond that, they were gracious as could be given a staff that was making good on what they said and mostly minding their closing duties. The menu here is good, not great, and the prices are all over the place. The alcohol offering is most dissatisfying, the portions paltry, and the off-menu ube-misu was barely good enough to make up for the loss.

I came here also because I had a deal from the AACHI fundraiser they are doing this month. Ordered the Spicy Salmon toast and the Egg, Bacon, and Sausage toast. Both were amazing and had tons of flavor. The bread is soft and fluffy. I also got a plate with Chicken Kara-age. Not too bad, I personally would stick to the Katsu. The Chicken Kara-age was not as crispy as I would like it. Also got royal milk tea, which was lightly sweetened. This place does get packed, so if you like to try this place, avoid the right before noon crowd or go early morning or later in the afternoon. The restaurant itself is small, but they do have some outdoor tables as well. The hard part about sitting outside is if you order drinks, I don't know if you can hear your name being yelled out while you are outside, so I would suggest having someone inside to grab your drink if you order any or check inside after a while to see if your drinks are ready.
