Extremely pleased with David, Greg and their team's work. Permits, warranty, quick, competitive rate and payment process all top notch. Communication was responsive and no pressure. Great choice if you get a roof. read more

Knight Roofing Services - New Roof Duplex - Roofing Near Me - Fremont, California

Knight Roofing did a great job of minor roof work during a kitchen remodel 10 years ago, so I had them back to re-roof our home. -The crew showed up on time and worked hard -They did a great job on all flashings, new attic fan and wood replacement in rotted areas. -They cleaned up very well each day -Gutters and downspouts look great. -They provided a list of homes in the area with the different types and colors of shingles, which made choosing our preference very easy -They handled the city permit and inspection -Their price was slightly lower than two other bids I received Knight Roofing was definitely the best choice and I am happy I selected them. read more

We have worked with Knight Roofing before years back when we got a new tile roof and more recently had a gutter cleaning/repair and replace some broken tiles. They responded in a timely manner and did a great job and work. Just in time for rainy season. read more

Thank you for the Knight Roofing Co crew to make repair for my roof. They have fixed the leak, replaced cracked tiles, and make quite a few corrections that the previous installer was not doing it right that may have caused my leak. They corrected the tar paper that was not placing on tops of the flashing or lack of it. I was happy that they even clean the build up of leave and debris in the valleys that can cause water overflow to roof. The crew was on time, courteous, professional, clean, and very efficient. Thank you David, Greg and the team. Great work and reliable roofer. Ivan C. read more

First of all I am no stranger to being a past customer. I had Knight Roofing (Fremont) put my tile roof on in 2001 ($13,500.) and in 2012 had them out again to work on it (3 hours for $175.) but now I called them to repair 2 shiplap boards that became dry rotted by the Chimney. They came out with a strip of metal flashing and two shiplap boards (that looked recycled) spending under two hours to do the work and (get this) charging a whopping $695.00. (not wanting to give me sticker shock on the price they dropped the $700. to $695) I have no choice but to pay it but in the future I will be going elsewhere for any roof service. Sometimes you become too big and can charge what you want with no consideration for Senior home owners (I am 80 yrs. old) I guess they thought I just bought my home for todays price and I am a millionaire. read more

I got the name of Knight Roofing from one of my friends. After initial our call, David came to our house quickly for the measurement and the quote. Their quoted price is not the lowest - but after multiple rounds of Q&A with David and Greg, we figured they are the expert of roofing and decided to go with Knight. It turned out to be that we made the right decision - their quality is top-notch. After getting the permit, they finished our project in only 2.5 days, with new shingles, new gutter and an extra layer of 4" rigid insulation. They completely cleaned up the site after the project. I would highly recommend Knight - if you have roofing needs definitely give them a call. read more

Want to give a rave review for Knight Roofing! Greg has been amazing to work with. His team is fast and efficient...I would recommend them to everyone, for roof replacement to maintenance and repairs! Thanks Greg, read more

We loved Knight Roofing! Had a random cracked tile after a couple years and they came right out to fix it. Quick to respond, great work.

DO NOT USE KNIGHT ROOFING UNLESS YOU WANT AND LIKE TO GET HOSED! On March 9th, we had water leaking from the roof into the master bedroom. They removed the roof tiles, cleaned out the debris, and reinstalled the roof tiles. This solved the water leak, and I was fine with the $195 charge for around 45 minutes of work. They told me that the roof paper needed to be replaced, and that it would take between 2 to 2.5 hours to repair at a cost of $380. I authorized the $380 repair, and they did this work on April 19th. Instead of 2.5 hours of work, the man repaired it in 1.25 hours, or in half the time. So this roof repair came out to $304 per hour. I called Greg and talked to him about this overcharge. Greg told me that this amount is fixed for my needs, and would be the same price if the repair took one hour or six hours. The thing that really pissed me off is Greg's remark that "WE ARE NOT MAKING VERY MUCH MONEY ON THIS REPAIR". I told Greg that they are making $304 per hour on this repair, and if this is not enough, then Knight Roofing has to raise their prices and then go out of business! I am done with Knight Roofing, and I hope they go out of business. Their business model is "CHARGE EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS FOR ROOF REPAIRS BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER IS TO STUPID TO REALISE THAT THEY ARE GETTING HOSED". read more

I recently had my roof replaced by Knight Roofing. I had several estimates and had checked out other companies. I feel that I made the best decision. Knight Roofing's management, David, is very good in that he does a through assessment and works with you on pricing. He listens to the customer. In terms of the work, Knight Roofing started the following Monday and finished within 4 days. They have skilled workers who know their job. They work consistently until the work is done. They are no nonsenses people, very skilled and well organized. I cannot be happier with the quality of the work and the time that it took to complete the project. I recommend Knight Roofing without reservation. You are welcome to come and see my roof. They also replaced my gutters and their pricing was in the ballpark. All good. read more

I recently decided to reroof a rental house that had a 20 year old shake roof that was coming apart. The renters had installed satellite dishes very poorly doing more damage, and the old solar system needed to come off before the new roof was done. Knight took care of everything outlined in the contract, but went the extra mile helping on the solar system and hauling everything away. We switched from shake to an asphalt composition roof, and I am extremely happy with the results. I was going to keep the old gutters, but one of the workers took his phone camera and took photos of the inside damage to the gutters I couldn't see from the ground. I made a decision to pay and have all the gutters replaced and they look great. After the roof was done, two of the workers went around the house with a large magnet sweep picking up stray nails, swept up everything inside and out, and left the place immaculate. Before I paid the bill I inspected under the eaves and in various spots to see if they had left any nails sticking out, or damaged any wood trim. Again, perfect job. I only got 2 quotes and although Knight was slightly higher, I am really happy I chose them. They were punctual, courteous, and the workers kept an amazing pace to get the job done in the time they quoted. read more

Knight roofing did a very nice job on our house. Greg patiently answered all of our questions and discussed all of the details. We asked them to reroof our son's house in San Jose and did a great job there also. Greg is always available to handle questions we have had after installation and to send out help when needed. If we had another roof to be done, we'd certainly have them do it. read more

We had Knight Roofing re-do a roof on a rental property a few years ago. we realized, unfortunately, after we had already paid them that they never actually had the permit signed off. Moreover, recently having had an inspection, we discovered what a poor job they had done. If they had ANY ethical standards and professionalism, they would fix their work. read more

I had Knight Roofing put new roof tiles on my house 16 years ago. After recent fumigation my roof tiles broke which the termite company had warning me before they tent the house. So I called Knight Roofing the date before the tent come down to see how much they charge for come out to replace my roof tiles. I have extra roof tiles available so it is not a big issue. The quote was reasonable; I asked them can they come out the next day since it will rain the day after. They sent a guy out the next day after the tent come down 1 hour and fixed all broken tile before the rain comes. Thank you very much a great service and understanding of the need of roof repair with rain season. read more

Choose them based on the way they handled a neighbors roof. They did our roof in 2011 and it looked great with little interuption in our household. In 2015 our roof was inspected for home sale and the inspector couldn't say enough about the quality. Now in 2016 they helped me track down a duplicate receipt for our taxes and had it sent out in minutes. read more

I had all the roofs on my property replaced in 2018, and Knight Roofing provided superb service. I will definitely recommend Knight Roofing service to anyone. The roof replaced including main house, guest house, 1-car detach garage (all shingles), as well working shed and storage (membrane roofing). From the beginning of the engagement, David was very professional, and promptly provided all the quotes/options and all the product sheets. Our house is a historical house, and changing roof requires permission from the city committee. Greg made great efforts and worked with committee directly on this and made this a smooth process. During the installation, Greg and his team had done a great job and finished all the roof replacement professionally. During their work, they cleaned up every day before they leave the site, to make sure all the hazard material were cleaned up (for example, nails on the drive way). In Jan 2019, the strong wind during a winter storm knocked down one of the oak tree on the property and cause severe damage to one of the newly-installed roof. Greg dispatched his team to cover up the damage area within couple hours, and effectively prevented water leakage into the house. Within one week, the roof was all fixed and installed with new shingle roof. All the above, are the testimony that Knight Roofing is providing first-grade service and taking great care of their customers. read more

Knight Roofing installed my roof on a new construction home 13 years ago. I have had multiple leaks starting with year one. I've lost count, but I think there have been 5-7 separate leaks. Each time I call them out, they tell me it is a different problem. Each time they fix it for a reasonable charge, but always have a story about why it isn't covered under a new roof warranty. And each time, I am left with the cost of repairing the damage to the inside of my home. I have followed all of their recommended maintenance and had my flashing around my chimneys caulked and sealed 7 months ago by them. This week I had another leak with more damage inside my home. I spoke with Greg and explained my frustration with the situation. I won't bore you with all of the back and forth of the conversation but the bottom line is: he doesn't take any responsibility for the problem. He tells me that roof installations from 13 years ago weren't the best of quality - they have greatly improved their designs since then. He said that most companies apply a Band-Aid approach to repairs which stretches out the problem which can only be properly fixed by ripping up the old flashing and installing new materials correctly. I told him that's exactly what they did to me. I only used them for my repairs, and they kept patching it up until they had pushed me out of my warranty period. In so many words, he told me that wasn't his problem, he wasn't going to do me any favors by sharing the expense with me. Oh, and by the way, he tried to tell me that it wasn't the same company that installed my original roof, even though it is the same name, the same address, the same phone number. He claims it has a new owner now and therefore they take no responsibility for the work done 13 years ago. That speaks volumes about his lack of personal and professional ethics. read more

The discovery of another cracked tile on August 13th led me to have to call Greg again to have a crew replace it. (They previously replaced 4 in November 2018 just before Thanksgiving.) He indicated that as soon as their crew had jobs in my area they would come and do the work. Today, the crew arrived and discovered 7 more tiles that needed replacing. The crew chief told me that the wild turkeys in our area wreak havoc on the roofs due to their weight and they often get calls to replace tiles here. Greg was as good as his word and I am very pleased with them. The only minor nit pick would be that I was not aware they were coming today as Greg said he would call to let me know when the crew was coming. And, because they needed 7 more tiles, had I not been home they would not have had access to the additional tiles. Still, in a day and age when the concept of customer service seems to have been lost, it is refreshing to experience a company that does what it promises to do. No mean feat! read more

Don't use these guys if you're in a rush. I called a couple of times. It was 2 weeks before they got out to me. Luckily, we had sunny weather. There was absolutely no sense of urgency in dealing with my leaky roof. At the same time, you can't get mad at them because they have you over a barrel. Hopefully a few negative reviews will get them off of their a**es. read more

Knight Roofing is one of the best contractors I have for my newly constructed residence. They are very reliable, responsive, and nice to work with. We encountered many problems during the construction, they worked with our schedule and figured out solutions. After the roof was completed and I have paid them in full, they continue to address my concerns promptly. One of the most ethical companies that you can trust. read more

We had shopped around quite a bit before finalizing on Knight Roofing and are extremely pleased that we chose them. Reasonably priced, excellent quality of work, and the work is done at a very fast pace. We recently replaced our 20 year old roof from wood shakes to tile/shingle roofing. Starting from the staff workers, upto the president David Rice, and the owner Greg Knight, they are all very courteous, honest, and professional. A great team of hard working crew (Salvador Manuel Ricardo to name a few), well coordinated, efficient and with a lot of team work. We had 2 new sun tunnelskylights placed in our master bathroom and one in the walk-in closet and they did an immaculate job in fixing those. The new tile roof has given a sensational look to our house, making it stand out in the neighborhood. Unlike the other roofers we talked to, this team was very approachable and both David and Greg would return our phone calls on the very same day. They do not charge you a single dollar till the final work is completed. Great Job! Completely satisfied customers and would highly recommend them for all roofing purposes. read more

Knight roofing installed the roof on my house 1.5 years ago, early this year, I called another company for gutter cleaning and also installed gutter guard. 4 weeks later, 2 tiles came loose from the second floor roof, fell and cracked 2 tiles on the first floor roof. The gutter cleaning company claimed it's not their fault, they came to my house, showed how they laid the ladder, cleaned the gutter and installed the guard and proved they did not touch the loose tiles. I contacted Knight roofing to replace the tiles. They looked at the problem and said it's definitely caused by the gutter cleaning company since all the roof tiles are installed in the same way and these two tiles are very close to where the gutter guard is. They could have asked me to claim against the gutter cleaning company, but decided to save me the trouble and fix it out of courtesy. Bill Knight, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with. He even followed-up to make sure the repair was done. He also mentioned about other roofing services his company provide, such as bird control. They definitely have my business the next time I'm looking for roofing services. read more

We called Knight Roofing after being referred by a friend. We had a leak that several other contractors could not resolve. Knight's men took the time to water test and investigate. In the end they found the problem and repaired it. They were not the cheapest, but in the long run we would have saved many times more than we paid them if they had been our first call! Real professionals. read more

We had an issue with rot on my fascia boards throughout my home. We had hired a local painter to fix the job. Unfortunately, he decided to leave with our deposit and forget about our job after he cashed our check, pulled off tile off the roofs perimeter, pulled off the the fascia here and there and then left the job in a total disarray. Fast forward 10 months later. After calling over a dozen roof companies that did not return calls after giving estimates or no showed or simply did not call me to schedule an estimate, we could tell that no one really wanted the job. The job would be basically cleaning up someone else's mess. Thankfully we was referred to Knight Roofing and Knight Roofing came to my roofs rescue. After discussion on the best way to proceed with the roof, Dave from Knight Roofing gave sound advice and patiently worked with us to get our roof fixed. We opted to put on a new roof instead of trying to patch and repair the existing damage to our roof. Now, we have a great roof on our house and it was put on in less than a week. Communication with this company was top notch and they fixed any issued we had after the job was done (which was practically none). The crew was clean and courteous. They were not the highest or lowest estimate, but their great customer service and quality of their work is what counted in the end made it well worth the price we paid. read more
