It took awhile to schedule everything by Gilbert kept me informed through out the process. The repair team was excellent and also kept me informed throughout the day. Most recently at a house in Union City I manage just this last month in April to do roof repairs & a new gutters throughout. Tri-City is a family owned company that's been around for years. A day later, I received the quote in my email with pdf files on colors, etc. Needless to say, he was more impressive to me than the guys with whom I spent hours. So I hired Tri-City - The first day, six guys showed up to remove the old roof, and for the next three days they worked diligently at replacing the roof in 90 degree weather. There were no surprises. The quote came out almost exactly as I had expected. These guys were hard-working and efficient. When they left, not a scrap could be found of debris. Every day they cleaned up after themselves. Needless to say, I was quite impressed. I have attached a few drone shots my neighbor took of them working. On a side note - they didn't expect payment until the job was done. We hired Bay 101 Roofing ~10 years ago to re-roof the flat part of our roof (around 1,250 sqft),…read moreinstalling frame to slope the roof, insulation and torch-down material. The roof held Ok for 8 years, but leaked in the south and east corners of our home 2 years ago. Bay 101 made repairs under warranty. It leaked again last year -- and again was repaired. This summer I checked roof condition and found that it now came apart at the west side (photos 1, 2). On top of that, there were bubbles in the middle of the roof. Bay-101 told me that the reason for continued issues is that the material they used poor quality material and switched suppliers. However, the roof is no longer under warranty and I have to pay to replace it. We had to re-roof again! I hired another company to do the job and during the tear-down they found that while framing and insulation was done well, the torch-down material was installed on top of insulation (fire hazard) and also wasn't fully treated (as seen on photos 3, 4 and 5). The new installers told me that another layer of material (i.e. plywood) on top of insulation was needed to ensure torch-down material would hole. This cost me another $3,500 on top of the cost of re-roofing to get the insulation covered. I am not happy with the poor work done on my house by Bay 101 Roofing, to put it mildly!

AGF was the only roofing company who ended up actually climbing on the roof to assess (not promises of drones and/or satellite imagery) and give us a fair assessment of the situation. Some of the roofers went so far as to ask us to rip apart and redo an entire section of the roof without any proof. They pulled off our old roof in a matter of a few hours and put plywood over the entire roof on just the first day. When they left, they cleaned up the yard including using a blower on the driveway, front path, and lawns. Each day of work was the same. The crew arrived early, did a fantastic job, and left the site as clean as when they arrived. In total, the job took a week. What was even more impressive is I knew there was some wood rot that needed repair so had budgeted more than quoted just in case the price went over. Nope. The final price was the exact price quoted. Even though there were 3 areas that needed repair. One of the other companies I talked to charged $150/hr + materials for wood repair. Another company flat out refused to take the job unless I found a separate contractor to repair those areas in advance. Lifetime adds some repair costs into their quote and they honor it. They very easily could have said the repair went over the allocated amount and we would have never known the difference.
