How do I start this review without a big thanks to Gilad and his team? The roof above me was built the same year that Chernobyl blew up, and that is too damn long for a roof. It had holes and dry rot, it cracked jokes about the end of the Cold War, it solemnly retold the tale of the Challenger exploding in the creaks I could hear at night. It was so old. My husband gathered multiple quotes for roof demolition and renovation. A few were lower, a few were higher, many others were pushier and more desperate than Gilad. So we went with Spotlight Roofing as the optimal choice. Work took four days for both removal of the old layer and installation of the new shingles, with the fourth day reserved for replacing the gutters. The chimney was included in this work. The team working on this was very well disciplined and cleaned everything up after the end of each work day. They even went out of their way to pick up flyaways after the wind blew stuff into the next door neighbor's yard. This neighbor is a hag who once knowingly gave away moldy lumpia and is very difficult to engage civilly with, so it was a pleasant surprise that she didn't harass the workers or anything. Overall, I would recommend Spotlight for professional demeanor, ease of communication, transparency, and competent workers contributing their blood, sweat, tears, and rooftop Spanish ballads to the total roof replacement. We discovered a roof leak this Jan after a long stretch of rain last December. We contacted multiple roofing companies, Raz was the only one who empathized w/ our concerns about further leaks and came the quickest. Some others would have us wait a whole month for a visit while more rain was imminent or would take forever to respond every time we asked a question. Also unlike the others who tries to upsell, Raz first offered to patch the leak instead of completely replace because the roof had a couple years of usable life left. When we decided to replace anyway Spotlight gave us the most competitive quote. We live in Redwood Shores which has a community association that required an additional application for roof replacement and Raz and Noe helped us with the application. We also had old solar panels that needed removal and Spotlight coordinated with a solar company so we didn't have to spend additional time. We had a flat section on the roof and were concerned with the leveling and Gilad came to double check to help reassure us that we didn't need to change the grading. The work crew was efficient and finished demolition, installation, and passed inspections in a week. Later on we had a couple of minor issues like debris in the sun tunnel that needed cleanup and Raz was always very responsive. Very happy we went with them! read more

We reached out to Spotlight Roofing after discovering water leaking into our walls and realizing that this was coming from a leak in our roof. Within an hour of reaching out to them they were at our door and ready to do an assessment and discuss next steps.
