From the initial quote request to the end of reroofing Spotlight Roofing was very transparent, communicative, honest, and easy to work with. Our project rep was Eitan, he is energetic and personable. He was extremely thorough and transparent with the reroofing process and noted places of concern after he inspected our old roof. The job went fast- took 2 days for the roof and 1/2 day for gutters. The crew cleaned up everyday which was a must for us as we have a small child who likes to play outside. Any additional work was explained very clearly and transparently during the quoting process- the estimates of additional work from Eitans inspection were accurate (we predicted beforehand we had some additional rot separate from Eitan's inspection). Eitan is very meticulous with his inspection of the work process and finished product. He noticed some cosmetic spots for touch up and the crew later came back to fix. If we ever had any concerns Eitan was very receptive and responsive. 10/10 would recommend Spotlight. They work hard to earn their business. read more

Had the pleasure of working with Spotlight Roofing to replace my old tile roof with Owens corning Duration cool plus shingles. I have talked to over 5 different vendors and couple came close to spotlight but Gilad's work ethic and his insight into details won me over. Gilad was very responsive from the time he came to give me the quote, he made sure that proper material is delivered on time on the day of installation, answered multiple emails explaining all the work that is going to be done ( this is where he surpassed other vendors in my view) , gave the most reasonable quote and no hidden charges is the beauty of working with Spotlight, Thanks to the ofdice team for being responsive with invoices and receipts Ricardo and team took care of the installation, they were very professional with clean up, removing and disposing of the tiles( did multiple trips more than expected) and showed me the pictures as work went on, addressed all my concerns during the work and most of all team worked on the roof when temp was 101..kudos to the team, Even the gutter installation guys worked very hard to adjust the gutters as i had previous leaks. Great team overall Had my inspection scheduled with the city inspector and Gilad co-ordinated the whole thing even when i was out of town on day of inspection. Got approved without a hitch Roof looks amazing and I already have neighbors inquiring me abt it read more

Last month Spotlight Roofing reshingled the sides of our mansard roof. We had two goals... replace our splintering cedar shingle tiles and upgrade our insulation and fire protection. Working closely with our project manager, Gilad Rosen, we decided to go with Brava's synthetic cedar shakes, a Class A fire resistant material made out of recycled plastic, and come with a 50 year manufacturer warranty. Gilad was great with communicating and was upfront with every step of the process. We didn't know whether we had a plywood layer below the old shingles, so that was called out as an add-on in the contract. We also needed two underlayment layers to achieve the level of fire protection we wanted. There were some tricky issues around our roof-mounted windows. One set had leaked after their installation, and we wanted to make sure that got taken care of. Gilad and his crew were very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. We're delighted with the look of our house, and thrilled we won't have to worry about re-staining the shingles, or of them splintering and falling apart after a decade or two. read more

The owner, Gilad is very professional. His price is very competitive. He would update me every day regarding the process and he would inform me right away if issue arise outside the original quote so I could decide what I wanted to do next. The team cleaned up everything after the project. The new roof looks nice! Very happy with his service. Highly recommend him and his team. read more

How do I start this review without a big thanks to Gilad and his team? The roof above me was built the same year that Chernobyl blew up, and that is too damn long for a roof. It had holes and dry rot, it cracked jokes about the end of the Cold War, it solemnly retold the tale of the Challenger exploding in the creaks I could hear at night. It was so old. My husband gathered multiple quotes for roof demolition and renovation. A few were lower, a few were higher, many others were pushier and more desperate than Gilad. So we went with Spotlight Roofing as the optimal choice. Work took four days for both removal of the old layer and installation of the new shingles, with the fourth day reserved for replacing the gutters. The chimney was included in this work. The team working on this was very well disciplined and cleaned everything up after the end of each work day. They even went out of their way to pick up flyaways after the wind blew stuff into the next door neighbor's yard. This neighbor is a hag who once knowingly gave away moldy lumpia and is very difficult to engage civilly with, so it was a pleasant surprise that she didn't harass the workers or anything. Overall, I would recommend Spotlight for professional demeanor, ease of communication, transparency, and competent workers contributing their blood, sweat, tears, and rooftop Spanish ballads to the total roof replacement. You guys are worth every dollar. read more

After shopping around for roofing quotes through Yelp, Spotlight and Raz quickly rose to the top. Raz took the time to walk me through shingle options and explain the differences and his recommendations lined up with the independent research I'd already done. The crew finished ahead of schedule and sent photos upon completion. They also made sure to clean up after themselves, clearing debris from my backyard before wrapping up. Competitive pricing, great communication, and a seamless experience made Spotlight the clear choice. Highly recommend, and I'd go back without hesitation. read more

I've contacted 4 roofing companies for estimates and decided to choose spotlight roofing and gilad as the project manager. Gilad was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain all our options and what's going to happen . Gilad said the job will take 6 days but they were able to finish in 4 days !!! One of the most impressive thing is that there was consistent communication throughout the project . I highly recommend gilad and spotlight roofing for any roofing needs . read more

Our neighbor sent us photos of some missing tiles on our roof. I checked my records and a 30 year roof had been put on in 1996 and had actually lasted 30 years. It was time to replace it. We got four estimates and chose Skylight Roofing because the price was right and they could start quickly. Of course, then the rains came and everything was postponed. Raz promised we'd be at the top of the list and, when the rain finally stopped, his crew was there to start the demolition. The crew was very professional, polite and kept us up-to-date on everything that was happening. Three days later, we had a beautiful new roof and we could not be happier. We highly recommend Skylight Roofing. Virus-free.www.avg.com read more

Raz and his team did an outstanding job on our roof. From start to finish, they were professional, organized, and kept the work area clean throughout the project. Spotlight not only provided the most competitive estimate, but they were also the only contractor who included my preferred shingles in their base bid. While cost was certainly a consideration, it wasn't the deciding factor--we ultimately chose Spotlight because they offered the best overall solution and value. After receiving four bids, we are extremely confident we made the right choice. The team, management, and final results all exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. read more

I wish I could give this business more than 5 stars. Their service, professionalism, commitment, and reasonable pricing are all completely top-notch. We started noticing a leak in our living room due to the recent rains and were quite nervous that it would lead to major repairs. However, their evaluation didn't include anything unnecessary--unlike a few others who came in to give us quotes. I can confidently vouch for their honesty and timely completion of the work. We discovered a roof leak this Jan after a long stretch of rain last December. We contacted multiple roofing companies, Raz was the only one who empathized w/ our concerns about further leaks and came the quickest. Some others would have us wait a whole month for a visit while more rain was imminent or would take forever to respond every time we asked a question. Also unlike the others who tries to upsell, Raz first offered to patch the leak instead of completely replace because the roof had a couple years of usable life left. When we decided to replace anyway Spotlight gave us the most competitive quote. We live in Redwood Shores which has a community association that required an additional application for roof replacement and Raz and Noe helped us with the application. We also had old solar panels that needed removal and Spotlight coordinated with a solar company so we didn't have to spend additional time. We had a flat section on the roof and were concerned with the leveling and Gilad came to double check to help reassure us that we didn't need to change the grading. The work crew was efficient and finished demolition, installation, and passed inspections in a week. Later on we had a couple of minor issues like debris in the sun tunnel that needed cleanup and Raz was always very responsive. Very happy we went with them! read more

We reached out to Spotlight Roofing after discovering water leaking into our walls and realizing that this was coming from a leak in our roof. Within an hour of reaching out to them they were at our door and ready to do an assessment and discuss next steps. We realized that we needed a new roof, but given that it was raining and the work couldn't be started for a few days, they offered to get someone out right away to put a temporary patch on the roof to make sure the water stopped leaking into our walls. The patch worked (thankfully!) and once the rain stopped they began work right away on replacing our roof. Overall they were extremely efficient, fast and responsive. We mainly dealt with Raz, who was a pleasure to work with. We are very happy with our decision to use this company and so pleased with the beautiful roof we got as a result. read more
