Called Signature Roofing today hoping to get a leak repaired and was met with the nicest, most helpful woman on the phone. Turns out they only handle new roof installations, not repair work, but instead of just saying so and hanging up, she offered to text me a list of trusted roofers who do repairs (which she did right away!) That level of helpfulness is rare. I'll be recommending Signature Roofing to anyone I know who needs a new roof. read more

This company did our next door neighbor's roof. They are messy, loud and unorganized. They start hammering at 7 am without any regard for the people in the bedrooms where they start. They shout to each other across the roof and in general, have no constraint at all. They leave their heavy equipment on the street and daisy chain extension cards to run cheap residential fans overnight. The quality of their work remains to be seen, but considering they don't seem to make enough to hire a professional crew or buy appropriate tools (like nail guns or industrial fans), I would say that they are not so popular. Pick these guys if you want a sloppy and noisy job site and the annoyed neighbor's that they bring to your block. I would have given them a -5 if the option were available. read more

Amazing company! Got a new roof with new gutters and downspouts - excellent service and quality of work. I had to call back for couple follow-ups with the gutters/downspouts and they've always been responsive and took care of everything as needed. After shopping around for someone to do our roof, we found Signature Roofing and were incredibly pleased with this company. Albeit on the pricier side than some other bids, Signature Roofing was incredibly professional, knowledgable and efficient. You can tell they know what they are doing. They did a great job on our roof. We did a couple of passes on our yard and driveway with a magnet sweeper and caught a lot of nails. My neighbors really appreciated with the fact that Signature Roofing cleaned up their side of the house as well. We are really happy with the service and recommend Signature to anyone looking for quality service. read more

Just a reminder: they don't do roof with angle smaller than 26 degrees. So just save your time and move on to next one( but not Shelton, westshore....) The funny thing about those high-profile roofing companies in Bay Area is that they only take easy cases to make quick moneys even though they claimed they are highly skillful and experienced. They all say they are capable all kinds of materials but they, in fact, can only handle asphalt.... read more

My friend recommended Signature Roofing to me and I also saw they have outstanding reviews on Yelp. I also got an estimate from another top company but Signature Roofing's price is much more reasonable. William, my project coordinator is the best. My simple project turned out to be more difficult due to a lot of dry rot and rotted beams where he had to get more crew to work them to keep up the schedule. He kept me posted on the progress and what was coming up. He also juggled things to weatherproof my stucco repair due to weather conditions. He also made a reasonable request to delay the stucco repair due to another project needing help to waterproof their roof. My city inspector came for a final inspection and told me I select the right company because signature roofing is one of the best. :) They are truly professional and I would highly recommend them. read more

Once we decided it was time to replace our aging roof, we began researching roofing companies. Personally, I was more interested in reputation than price, so I was looking for a company with excellent reviews, was in good standing with the State Contractors License Board, and had a favorable Better Business Bureau rating. We found all of those things with Signature Roofing, and after receiving bids from a few roofing companies, we decided to award the contract to Signature. I don't regret that decision for a minute. P.J., William, and Walter were all a pleasure to deal with, the entire crew was professional, courteous and friendly. They showed up early every day and cleaned up at the end of every day. One way I measure a company is how they handle problems. As with all jobs, a few problems surfaced along the way with this job too, but William was very quick to respond and remedy whatever the problem was in a timely manner. He answered every email and text message promptly. Our new roof looks great (we decided on the Presidential TL shingle in Autumn Blend), and I would not hesitate to recommend Signature Roofing to anyone in need of a new roof. read more

Signature Roofing - Job Completed. - Roofing Near Me - Belmont, California

When we realized that our 30-year-old shake roof needed replacing, we approached several companies, including Signature Roofing, which reroofed lots of homes in our neighborhood. We very much appreciated how quickly William came out for a quote. He provided the estimate along with a lot of information about roofing materials, gutters, downspouts and more. After we signed the contract, he came by with roofing samples to help us decide on the colors. The project took 7 business days (mid-April 2025). The workers were friendly, professional and happy to provide advice and/or explanations if we sought them, and kept the worksite extremely clean, providing a thorough cleanup at the end of each day. They were also very detail-oriented and mindful of aesthetics and curb appeal. Communication between the workers and the project manager was excellent and William kept us informed of the progress and next steps daily over the phone or by email. We couldn't be happier with the results but also the process, and would highly recommend Signature Roofing to anyone considering a roofing project. read more

When was the last time you gave serious consideration to your roof? If you're like me, the answer is "way too long ago". But when shingles kept blowing off my aging roof and the gutter kept getting filled with asphalt granules, I knew it was time to replace the roof before my house ended up with a new indoor pool during the next storm. Of the three roofing companies that I contacted, Signature Roofing had the best communication by far. I do a lot of research before hiring contractors, so I was impressed when SR sent me several emails containing detailed information about shingle types, decking, underlayment, and roof vents. They also provided the addresses of some houses they'd worked on, so I was able to see the actual product in real-world conditions. My estimator PJ and the owner William took the time to answer my plethora of questions. When I finally decided on what I wanted, I knew I was making an informed decision. I ended up going with GAF asphalt shingles in the Timberline HD Reflector series. The reroofing was a multi-day process involving tarping the garage, scraping off the old roofing material (this was pretty loud), adding a layer of OSB, and finally installing all the new materials. SR didn't want to tarp the furnace in the attic because of the low clearance in there, so they opted for pulling up a board in the decking after removal of the old roof in order to vacuum up debris around the furnace. During the reroofing process, William kept me constantly updated, including multiple times when he informed me that the crew would be replacing some old boards that had dry rot. Each such occurrence increased the cost of the project marginally, but I was glad that SR was being thorough in ensuring that my roof will last. They also helped me with some minor gutter work including straightening a sagging gutter. William even came by personally to make sure that a gutter elbow would be the right color - what service! After the install, I informed William of a couple cosmetic issues that I found and he had his field supervisor out the next day to correct them. SR cleaned up reasonably well after the project, though I've found stray nails scattered about on many occasions. Overall, the price was not cheap but it was fair given the quality of the install. In the several months since the new roof was put in, our house stayed noticeably cooler during the summer and the roof had no leaks during a recent storm. I found at least one spot where a shingle is buckling, but apparently this is fairly common, and the shingle looks like it'll still do its job. SR also carries a 10-year workmanship warranty for peace of mind. If you're in the market for a new roof, definitely give Signature Roofing a call and see how they stack up against the competition. read more

Super helpful, even if they don't do the tile roofing I need they're nice enough to share with me a list of names that may help!

A little expensive compared to the competition, but incredibly thorough, professional, and great communicators. We needed our shingle roof + gutters replaced after 25+ years on a single-family home, and picked Signature Roofing after reviewing quotes from a couple of well-recommended suppliers. Their quote was higher, but they were much better able to explain options, discuss alternatives, and make recommendations that we believed. The work was done extremely well - including fixing up some old rotted woodwork, bolstering some sagged rafters, adding venting, and reusing our existing (slightly strange) downspouts. There was one small hiccup we encountered on the first rain, which they fixed within a day - probably due to a bad original install of a skylight (i.e., not their fault). read more

Here's the thing about Signature Roofing, they are with you for the long run! It's been almost 10 years since Signature provided us with a great new roof and I was very pleasantly surprised last week when I received an email from George Belden saying they were driving past my house and noticed the flashing around my fireplace had lifted. So, had an old roof that needed chimney repairs, some joints fixed, etc. There was a good amount, two days worth of plaster repairs in addition to the regular joints that need correction when doing a 30 year old roof. Even some roof joists and overhangs that needed to be renewed. The guys did a good quick job. We also had some new vents per their specs added. Had them remove all the old gutters and had them replace and install with leaf covers. There in my issue resides. When they did the gutters, they installed a downspout onto the existing lower level roof. Per the Home Inspector who was pretty damn sharp, never dump a downspout onto an existing or brand new roof as it causes undo wear and other issues. I approached SR and the manager said that they just match what was there. Well, they did the roof correctly, so why install the new gutter system deficiently when they were hired to correct all deficiencies? The guys are good, including the guy who corrected the gutter downspout issue. Originally, to reinstall a deficiency because that is how it was originally, bummer. Then get charged for it after the home inspector explain it, oh well. It is fyi, do not have a downspout dump to a lower roof! Cheers! read more

We researched quite a bit on roofers and saw work done by Mr. George Belden, which was excellently done; not always easy these days. He was quite busy (understandably, given the quality of the work) but we finally were able to schedule our parent's new roof and it was impeccably done. Now, I'm no roofer but my brother, who knows a thing or two about these things, and is very picky, got on top of the roof and gave it a big thumbs up. Oh, and there is a thirty year guarantee! We just received a "Happy Roof anniversary" card from Mr. Belden, and decided to write a nice and deserved review. Thank you, Signature Roofers! read more

I just spoke with Kimberly at Signature Roofing. She was exceptionally helpful and generous with her time and knowledge. I need a new roof but while we were talking she looked at a satellite image and informed me that my roof type doesn't fit Signature's expertise. Kimberly then spent several minutes educating me about roofing issues and provided several referrals. She shared a wealth of information and I feel better equipped to proceed with my search for an appropriate roofer. Any company that will spend that much time with a non-customer should be commended. I just wish I could be one of their happy customers too! read more

Signature Roofing is a top-notch company from beginning to end. I selected them from the 3 companies that inspected my roof and gave me estimates. Along with the estimate, Signature Roofing sent me lots of information about roofs in general, the different materials available, what to look out for, what to expect, how their company works and the warranties they offer, etc. I talked to William Cotter several times. He always called me back in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable, professional and patiently answered all my questions. When the time came for the installation [in January 2025], the workers arrived on time, stayed the whole day, came every day to get the job done, and cleaned up at the end of each day. A few days after the roof was finished, we had a big storm and my new roof functioned perfectly. I love my new roof and it looks great. Going with Signature Roofing was one of the best home improvement decisions we have made. They provided a list of homes/roofing projects they had completed so we could drive by to help determine color and style. Their price was very competitive. We decided to replace our 35 year old cedar shake roof before the rainy season. We got bids from 3 well reviewed companies. All bids were very close in cost, but Signature's was just a bit better. Their responsiveness and general knowledge was superior. The work was done in late August and early September during the incredible heatwave. The crew was incredible. They arrived on time every morning and worked until the day's progress was completed. They were responsive to my questions and patient with my suggestions. We are very satisfied and highly recommend them. We are now ready for rainy season if it ever comes. read more

So much to love about their work! We engaged them before SIP and they followed up with us as soon as work was allowed to start. Totally reliable, honest, efficient and most of all, super organized. They even sent us an email at the end of each work day with updates! How about that! Clean up was well done and they even did a final QC to make sure the little things like stain marks were taken care of. I would recommend these guys for roofing to 100% of all who ask me. read more

I can't say enough about Signature Roofing. Over the last two years they have replaced our roof, installed new skylights, attic fan, gutter guards and replaced one downspout. Any any time I mention Signature Roofing to other home owners who have used them, they have the same rave reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to use Signature again. read more

We needed the roof of our San Carlos home re-done (first time I've had a roof re-done). I contacted 3 different roofing contractors for quotes. Signature was, by far, the most thorough and professional of the group. They did an outstanding job thru the process which only re-affirmed that it was a good decision. William Cotter was my interface and he was super responsive and always delivered on the commitments he made (for himself and Signature). I had a question regarding a bathroom vent and the crew popped the panel and took photos / video so I could see how it looked which I greatly appreciated. All around great job. While I hope not to have to do anything else to the roof for the next 30 years, I know that I will only come to Signature. read more

Signature roofing replaced our roof about 3 years ago. The job was done in a timely manner and the cost was competitive. Three issues with the job. 1) the addition of wood sheeting and asphalt shingles adds a lot of weight to the roof compared to the previous wood shakes on our 1960 ranch house. There was no caution from Signature to choose thinner and lighter shingles. We chose the triple layer. As a result of the new roof sheet rock has cracked or split in multiple places. There was no warning of this from the roofer and no call back when I called the company about this issue. 2) We have a hip roof and I knew the new roof would be hotter than than the wood shake roof it was replacing. I brought this up to the supervisor or who did the estimate. He said the quantity of O'Hagin vents Signature planned to add would be fine and sufficiently vent the attic. Wrong! We had to add a roof fan even after re-insulating the attic with the highest rated fiberglass insulation. They also did not put an O'Hagin vent in the garage roof so no ventilation there. When I look at our neighbors roofs it appears all have a vent in the garage roof. 3) We recently realized that we could smell kitchen orders in the garage if the range vent had been operating. I climbed up into the loft and found the 6" vent pipe coming out of the wall from the kitchen completely disconnected from the vertical vent pipe which goes up through the roof. The roof itself is holding up quite well but I would not recommend Signature Roofing based on our experience. read more

Signature Roofing was recommended to me by a family member who has used them in the past. I was impressed with their quick response and initial visit. My contact person was PJ Hudec who reviewed my roofs, 2 separate and answered my questions. He came up with a plan, a cost and a time estimate pending weather delays. William Cotter was my project contact person and quickly responded to any questions. The project proceeded smoothly and inspection passed without any problems. It is always a daunting task when you need to find someone to perform a big project around your house that you can't perform yourself. That is why, we feel so fortunate to have found and worked with Signature Roofing on our re-roofing project. Our roof was over 30 years old, the majority of the house was double roofed so we knew that would require a lot of extra work to remove. The project lasted about 5~6 days which included old roof removal, installation of new roof, flashing and gutters, inspections and cleanup. The cleanup was very thorough and the area surrounding our house looked cleaner then before the project started, no nails to worry about. From our 1st appointment with PJ to the final city inspection, we felt like Signature Roofing was with us every step of the way. We received daily progress emails or calls from William which was helpful and reassuring to know what was going on and if there were any issues found. Thank you PJ, William and all of your hardworking roofers who helped us convert our wood shake roof into an asphalt shingle roof, we couldn't be any happier with our new roof and gutters too. Highly recommend Signature Roofing for Roof inspection, Gutter installation and Roof installation. read more

These guys were the ultimate professionals from start to finish. I had my roof replaced by them in 2019, and figured I'd wait a while prior to writing a review just in case something went wrong -- and nothing has. :) From the detailed quote process (not just all the information, including projects they'd done in my neighborhood, but also number & placement of vents), to the scheduling & installation, and follow-up, everything was perfect. They also helped coordinate my solar removal -- and the one & only thing that might have been better would have been if they could have also handled the solar de/re-install. Maybe they do now -- in the future, re-roofs with existing solar will be much more common.. Thanks, Signature Roofing! read more

I highly recommend Signature Roofing! Honest, on time, communicative.

We got four bids for our new roof. Two were through friends: one so high they clearly didn't want the business and the other enticing but came with red flags (only available on weekends and limited tolerance or understanding of our local gov't permits). Our experience with Signature Roofing started with an in person meeting that educated us on the ins-and-outs of roofing. We thought, at the very least, we got an education, which we then applied to the other companies. Then, Signature sent us a list of other homes in the area with Signature roofs which we drove by to see... again, at the very least, an education on what we want and don't want. At two of the homes, the residents were outside and we chatted them up. Both had nothing but good things to say about the company and the process, so that was it - we went with Signature. From the out-set, they were honest, professional and followed thru on communications. Our experience was just as good. They swarmed in to remove the old roof on day 1 and after that, we had a meticulous team that worked on the rest: rebuilding the new roof and leaving the area every evening spotless and without so much as a whisper. We referred to them as "stealthy". We are so pleased with the work they did and the end result - the roof (and new gutters) look great. read more

A re-roof is a messy, arduous, and expensive job no matter what anyone will tell you. Signature Roofing makes the process much more palatable and less of a mess. I chose Signature because of their long-standing reputation, competitive pricing and for their impeccable attention to the details. Their various specialty crews do the appropriate preparation, quality work and cleanup methodically, efficiently and with great attention to customer satisfaction. Our attached garage has a "loft" storage area and I was concerned that demolition debris would get all over the items stored in that specialized area. Signature's specialist did an outstanding job covering these items and more, so the removal of the original 30-year-old cedar shake did not get all over the place. Additionally, they covered our swimming pool with plastic preventing any debris from making its way to the bottom. All in all, I was very pleased with their skilled workmanship and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in proceeding with a high quality new roof. read more

We used Signature Roofing to replace our roof for our house in Belmont. They offered a bid that was roughly the same price as the other bids we received, a price that is similar to what we've heard that this job costs from talking with our friends. However, Signature Roofing's bid also included a total replacement of our gutters and downspouts, something we appreciated and the other contractors did not include. Signature Roofing did a good job of our roof replacement, getting it done on time and communicating clearly with us throughout the process. At the end, a shingle accidentally fell into a venting pipe causing the microwave fan to stop working. After informing about this problem, we received prompt service to remove the shingle and make this vent work properly again. We would recommend Signature Roofing to our neighbors to get their roof replaced when needed. read more

Very happy we picked Signature to do our re-roof in July 2020. I remember them being around when I was growing up so reliability of the company was one of the primary criteria in choosing a vendor. They were very professional, communicative of things to happen or needing attention, and overall everything I expected from a roofing company that's been around a while. Looking at their list of re-roofs, I found that a good number of neighbors had used them in the past. I appreciated their asphalt shingle selection as we went with a reflector shingle... considering the roof we had when moving in had very few vents, the new vents and reflector shingle made a big difference in this past weekend's heat wave. read more
