Still awesome! The French Toast is nice and eggy. Just order a side of bacon and eggs to go with it so that they make you a fresh batch of French Toast. I didn't realize that it's all you can eat French Toast! Just ask for a "refill". Definitely order extra of the butter caramel sauce too. My wife got her usual broccoli cheddar soup and it was nice and hot and delicious. It can be ordered as an add-on to the French Toast. I ordered a ham and swiss, no onion, and asked to "please make sure there is honey mustard", since that ingredient had been forgotten several times before. Unfortunately, the sandwich I got - had onions - had no honey mustard - had an entire half a tomato (!) sliced and squashed in one one half of the sandwich (the other half had no tomatos) - had barely any meat - looked like it was thrown together in 30 seconds or less The only reason I'm rating two stars instead of one was because my wife was satisfied with her sandwich. I, however, have had several very poorly made ham and swiss sandwiches the past few times I've been the last few months. They didn't always make food this way, I don't know why it's been so much worse lately. You can order much higher quality sandwiches from Jersey Mike's or even Jimmy John's and get more sandwich for less money compared to Kneaders. I am rarely so disappointed in a restaurant I want to drive back and demand a refund but tonight I wanted to do just that and would have if it weren't 9 pm and I needed to get home to get kids to bed. I ordered the provolone and munster cheese melt. The bread was limp and barely toasted. And they put 1 small slice of provolone and one small slice of Munster on 3 giant slices of bread. The bread tasted like cinnamon like they had cut the sandwich in half with a knife that had been used on their chunky cinnamon loaf. I'm guessing cinnamon isn't supposed to be in the grilled cheese flavor profile. I paid $11.49 for the worst grilled cheese I've ever had. I was so disappointed and appalled that they would serve that to anyone! Do better kneaders. This was pitiful. read more

The drive thru has to be the slowest drive thru of all the drive thrus. I sat for 8 minutes at the window watching as two employees walked backed and forth doing who knows what, meanwhile my order sat ready on the counter. At one point, the employee who finally came to the window stood against a different counter and just folded her arms and watched the lobby? This is probably why the food is cold, actually. 1 star for service (sorry but I live right by it and have been several times) (service is slow, almost non-existent, employees don't seem to be aware when people need things even if they're trying hard to get their attention, I've also been missing silverware many times with my meals or things are missing, etc.) But food is overall good, the French toast seems to never be on point at this location, usually small and a little burnt and cold when served, and the syrup will definitely be cold and served in a small cup where the contents have separated. But it's a Kneaders and they do have good food so I continue to go, but the overall satisfaction from me is very low compared to say the Lindon/orem location which seems to be more on top of things. read more

I spent 25 minutes in the drive thru.. I ordered a large avocado salad and a medium drink. The price was $15.27 the salad was tiny. They use sell their salads in big plastic bowls.. they are now sold in small containers. I was one of two cars in the drive thru. It's been a year since I stopped at a Kneaders. I won't be back. When you pay $13 for just a sandwich, you expect it to be good. And I have loved Kneaders in the past. But this sandwich was literally difficult to choke down. They put all of the sauce into one spot in the center, which means that all of the ingredients soaked through the bread into a big pile of slop, and then all of the edges were dry as a bone. If I were eating inside I could have redistributed things, or at least used the dry bread to scoop up the stuff, but I went through the drive through and could only eat what I could pick up which was just the dry bread. Two seconds guys. It only takes two seconds to spread out the sauce and make a decent sandwich. Also, if would have been nice if they hadn't gotten sauce all over the outside of the container too. I use to love this place years ago, but it's such a hit and miss now at this kneaders and the one in Lindon. They always have the best French toast they never go wrong there. I ordered a half cafe sandwich the other day, and it was awful! I should have taken it back, but didn't have time. It was half the size they usually do, the turkey looked almost brown and it didn't taste good at all. I couldn't even finish it. Totally wasted my money and they are not cheap. Bread great, Omelettes inexcusable.... This Kneaders is a place I frequent quite often. I have always enjoyed their fresh breads sliced upon purchase and the beautiful cookies. The atmosphere is always pleasant and this is the one good breakfast spot in Highland/Alpine, here comes the "but", the omelette I was served this last visit was so poorly executed, I have to review it. An aspiring child chef could have done better. The "American omelette" I was served was not only paper thin, it was dry, had no cheese inside, a very minuscule amount of ham and large raw whole florets of broccoli lumped into it making it appear more like a few kittens thrown in a sack... the only thing more pathetic was the "fresh fruit", which consisted of a less than perfect single strawberry rolling around on the side. Why I did not take it back? Because the point of being there was a visit with my girlfriends, and the engrossing conversation. I was certain the cooks could not do better, so I didn't take the time. Fresh, fresh, fresh. We came in for lunch and got salads. They were a small size however a very large portion for one serving. use to love kneaders, but the last few times I've been, the food and service have been lackluster. We ordered food to go for my husbands birthday. At checkout, it said to be there in 20 minutes. Cool! So we arrive and wait nearly an hour. Another person waiting says it's been over an hour for her. We finally get our food, do a quick check, and head home. Unfortunately what we thought was a soup bowl wasn't. There appeared to be enough boxes for our added pastries, but there wasn't. We didn't receive the 'redeem free pastry' which is on our receipt, the raspberry croissant we added, or the soup with my husbands panini. We did receive the cinnamon roll, but it was dry and tasteless. I've called 3x this week to have this sorted out. Twice I've been hung up on, once I've been told I'll receive a call back. I've been a handful of times, but never for a full dining experience. On a few occasions I was just picking up a pie that had been ordered. Once they had written down the order wrong, but luckily had made the pie ahead of time and it was ready to pick up. The real allure here is the fireplace and hot chocolate. Why don't more businesses have fireplaces? It's a treat to come in and sip so cocoa and sit by the fireplace, and I've done that a few times. Now, you have to be agile to get fireplace seats. Kneaders has so much great stuff going for them. Amazing baked items...breads, sweet breads, cakes, brownies, tarts, rolls, etc. Their entree items are really great, too. Sandwiches are tasty and customizable. Try the french dip (a good measuring stick of any restaurant). Soups and salads are tasty and well thought-out. They recently changed their chicken in the salads from cold cubed strips to warm slices, which is a little strange but not terrible. Breakfast is interesting there...you could say it was their specialty, if you order the bottomless french toast (which put them on the map.) However, if you order anything else, it's just ok. Bottomless pancakes are delicious, but refills take way longer than it should. If you plan on 2 refills...well...don't plan on 2 refills. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty but small and lackluster. The main thing they're missing is a "with." Fries probably don't fit here...but there needs to be something. I know they have some chips, but it's also not quite right. What an experience...and not in a good way. We show up for breakfast on a Saturday and as expected it's a busy place, there French toast is delicious and sought after but what gets my goat is the fact that it's a Saturday morning which is probably the busiest business day for this restaurant and they have an event they are setting up for within their dining area, and their dining area is small to begin with. Well they've got 45 seats reserved and completely empty for this private party. All the while orders are at a stand still because the workers assigned to set up the party are not helping get orders out. We got here at 10:30 and haven't gotten our food yet and it's been 45 minutes. Who in the hell decided a private party would be a good idea on a Saturday morning at kneaders. On a side note, get rid of the massive fireplace that's only used during part of the year, and the craft station. So much wasted space for customers to sit and eat your food. read more

ZERO stars Went to this location this morning. Ordered our food at 10:40 and was told there would be a 25 minute wait for the food since they were so busy. Decided that was ok so went ahead and ordered. It was over an hour before we got served. In the mean time they kept taking more orders and were fulfilling drive thru orders first before dine in. At 45 minutes into the wait they said there were still three more orders ahead of us. When asked if there was anything they could do for me They said they had a whole football team come in before us and were short staffed and were sorry for the wait. That's it. They could have offered a free soda while we waited or a free desert next time you come or something to the customers who had to wait over an hour. They could have posted a sign on the front door saying closed til we get caught up or the people at the cash register could have told me a more realistic wait time if they had that many orders still ahead of mine. Yes I would have left this time and not ordered but I would be going back again sometime soon. Now they've lost customers for life. Wish I could have given NO stars. So so disappointed. I have such an issue when each employee gives a different answer. All I wanted was a kids meal but substitute the ham for turkey. My kids do not like ham. I have run into ONLY one employee in the Lindon location that always says they cannot do it. It is so irritating. I am not buying a full sandwich for a 4 year old child because this one employee won't substitute but everyone else and every other location will. All I ask is to train each employee the same. If you find a discrepancy, have a conversation with that particular employee. This is probably the 5th time I have run into this at this one location. Why I continue to try the Lindon location is beyond me! read more
