Four stars for the food. The squid legs and deep fried branzino (PlaTod) are delicious but the glass noodle with seafood (crab meat and River prawns) is disappointing. The prawn is not fresh. The service is just ok (3 stars) and barely two stars for the ambiance. The restaurant is very dark with loud noise

This is one of my favorite spots to get lunch! Super affordable, everyone is super attentive AND personable and the music is usually really good. Love to have some solo time or hang out with friends here, it's definitely a spot I go to over and over

Tried their $12.95 lunch special from 11:30am-3:30pm and it was great! It'a +$2-3 for protein like chicken or shrimp but it's still so affordable. For $25 (including 22% tip) I got an appetizer (spring rolls), a well portioned entree, and a thai iced tea. Honestly to me this is a win for it being in St. Marks! The staff were extremely welcoming and kind too, frequently refilling my water and having patient and caring demeanors. I did not at all feel rushed like some restaurants unfortunately make you feel today, and the lighting was really nice and relaxing! The bathroom was also pretty clean and spacious though I do wish there was more than just one stall. Overall great experience would come again and do recommend :).

    Yummy calamari appetizer, small portion

Cocktails were reasonably priced. The food had great flavor. My second time here, the giant shrimp were delicious! Only downside is the tables are clustered too close together and the noise level is high.

Ambiance - decor is very brand like and nice. Tables are spaced out, so it is very roomy and spacious. Service - we were for lunch special, wasn't too many tables, staff was available when needed. Food - it was okay. The lunch special was $12 - not bad, but portion was not big.

Very impressed by the hospitality. Came as a group of 6 and our server immediately provided in-depth descriptions and combination suggestions to fill our table spread. And every dish is amazing! Love the garnishing and sauces. Wish the serving sizes were bigger--but the quality makes up for that. We ordered the Phuket pitcher, which reminds me of a Long Island, and highly recommend it. Strong and a great drink to share.

THIS PLACE IS SOOOO GOOD!!!! The service was top notch and extremely efficient. Never an empty glass. The inside is super cool and vibey. The food was UNREAL. The taste never lacked in any dish. The fried gyoza (ik it's a basic order) was unreal. My dad actually couldn't stop eating the sour pork crispy rice salad too .. super not his normal order. Not a single dish was bad and the cocktails are a MUST!

Sangria pitcher is a steal! The happy hour seems to last the entire time the restaurant is open-Ha! Definitely a place to get cheap drinks while eating though I can't promise they will be your favorite. Menu is small. Thai food is pretty good and there were some unique options. I wasn't blown away by any of the flavors and I was thrown off by the use of unexpected ingredients in familiar dishes.

Food was just okay, but honestly what more can you expect from a $12 lunch deal. It comes with an app, a soup/salad, and a main. Like, you're definitely getting bang for your buck, so I can't complain. I thought the spring rolls were lovely and crispy, and I ordered the peanut sauce chicken. It was good enough, but I think I was just hoping for the sauce to be more integrated with the chicken and the broccoli. The way it was served was that it was literally just boiled chicken and broccoli with a heaping of peanut sauce on top. The sauce was yummy, just wasn't exactly the most appetizing or the best peanut chicken I've had. But if you're looking for a good deal for lunch, you can't really go wrong here.

Crispy Mango Fish & Ka-Pi Fried Rice

Came here for dinner with some others, I split the Crispy Mango Fish & Ka-Pi Fried Rice with my partner. The fish comes with a good amount of fish and true to the name with a nice crisp. The fish was nice and moist, and the mango salad really helped to cut the oiliness of the fish--making for a mouth watering combination. The fried rice probably makes my list of top 3 fried rices I've had. The lap chung is cut into small pieces that add a nice chew to each mouthful. The Thai chili's are pretty spicy, but you can easily move them to the side if you have mild-medium spice tolerance only like me. The table shared a pitcher of the Phuket, where the pineapple flavor really helped to mask/balance out the alcohol. I don't usually drink very much, but I finished out a whole glass! Very refreshing drink that goes well with the food/adds a nice tropical note to the meal. Lighting is pretty dim here, but they really set a chill mood with candles (see picture). The servers were very attentive, and kept the water glasses filled to the brim.

Very unique thai food. Ive been to this restaurant twice and each time I've had something different. Their take on thai food is different from your average restaurant. Their pad thai uses a different type of noodle which is thinner. The Ka-Pi fried rice was such a unique dish, its use of fish paste is definitely an acquired taste, and had a very delicious mix of ingredients. I also had a curry that I couldnt remember the name of -- it had blood cubes, a chicken drumstick, and eggplant. That dish was delicious but incredibly spicy, be warned.

To my NYC friend that too me here...I am so sorry but this place was just ok. I paid $30 with tax and INCLUDED gratuity for pad see ew and thai tea. They auto add 20% gratuity on every check I guess because my party only had 2 people. The thai tea was good, I would be impressed if they managed to mess that up lol. But the pad see ew was SUPER salty and oily. The first few bites were okay but then it got unbearably salty. The meat was also chewy and hard to eat. Ambiance and service was nice. I can see why people just come here to drink the alcohol pitchers.

The food is honestly kind of mid, but you come here for the vibes and good deals, not a Michelin star meal. They have good deals on pitchers and the drinks taste a bit too dangerously good, if you know what i mean. The servers are super friendly as well and Klong is always a fun time with friends!

    Do they take reservations?

    They don't. Just show up.

Are they still do their pre-COVID happy hour drink menu?

Recently went and believe prices are a solid $6 for most drinks now from $3 I believe. Not sure if that's happy hour or the standard now.

The service was friendly, attentive, and the food arrived quickly even they were a full house and rush lunch hour. Very quick and our server was amazing! We started with mango salad and chicken satay as these were the most popular. Their salad was purely mango with cashews and cherry tomatoes. Their chicken satay was also to die for! It was very flavorful and was perfect and went well with the salad. Their pad thai was so perfect it brought me back to when we visited Thailand few years ago. The crispy pork belly was a standout for me perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with just the right amount of richness. (Reminds me of Filipino Lechon Kawali) The fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and squeeze of lime balanced everything out beautifully. The soft shell crab in creamy curry egg sauce was also a must try! And lastly, we tried their mango sticky rice!! Absolutely no words... IT WAS DIVINE!!! If you're looking for authentic Thai food with elevated presentation, generous portions, and excellent service, Mitr Thai is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be coming back to try more dishes!

Came here to eat before watching Broadway. We booked 5:00pm. When we arrived ~4:50pm there was…read morealready a line out the door waiting for them to open. I'm surprised people queued and surprised they actually lock people out. They have a policy of only seating whole parties. My friends were literally stuck amongst the world cup crowds in Times Square such that they struggled to get through and had to detour when they did. They have a 10 minute grace period, but my friends wouldn't make it in time, so I asked if they'll let us sit first as long as we start ordering immediately. They said ok as long as we returned the table by 6:30pm. I thought the 1.5 hour seating time was based on when we actually get seated which considers the grace period. Anyways the timing ended up being sufficient. I think this spot is good for pre-theatre dining due to the large storefront and quick service, but I wouldn't necessarily choose to come here for the sake of coming. Their menu is extensive and slightly confusing given the way they organize by regions in Thailand. I'm uncultured so I won't know what's the difference between each region. It's easier for me to comprehend if the menu was categorized by the ingredients used or size of the dish. Most dishes do not have a photo/drawing included so it was hard to skim through all the options. Their online ordering was way more helpful since it had photos. It was so hard to look for the corresponding line item in the printed version. We ordered: green curry, kao soy kua neur, khao mok neua, curry puff, kaeng hung lay, gai gor lae, and mango sticky rice. Most of the stuff tasted alright without much standout. We requested mild/little spicy for everything and it was true to request. The spiciest dish was probably the green curry, but I think it's tolerable if you eat it with rice. Crowd favorite was the kao soy kua neur which is braised beef with egg noodles. I like how tender the beef is and how chewy the noodles were. My friends didn't like the khao mok neua biryani because of its dryness, but I think it's meant to be like that. I appreciate the spices in it, not too strong but still sufficient. I don't like how they don't have a printed menu for desserts and relied on the servers to recite out what's available. We couldn't hear everything properly and resorted to referencing the online ordering menu for the dessert options. Glad they're the same. Mango sticky rice was the highlight of the night for me. The mango size could be slightly bigger, because right now it's much smaller than the rice. However, I enjoyed the rice a lot. It was hot, fragrant, and not too soft. It definitely felt comforting. The coconut milk on the side had rice puffs (?) in it which gave additional texture.

The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.
