I'm always looking for new Thai places and was spending time in the East Village thus Yelped Thai food places to eat. Thai for Thought popped up. " This tiny gem of a place is small but the owner works hard to keep the online orders pumping and service diners who dine in the restaurant. I've enjoyed the best meals in the tiniest places in the East Village. I was in the mood for Drunken Noodle and Thai Iced Tea. The very pleasant server took my order and asked level of spice I wanted. The tea arrived shortly and was utterly delicious. The Drunken Noodle was generous in size, plenty chicken, perfect level of spice, savory sauce with chilli peppers and basil and was utterly delicious. Highly recommend! The server checked if I found it too spicy. I loved the interior; very small with four tables and wall adorned with cute poster of Thailand. All in all, food is delicious, service is genuine and kind and I loved the smallness of it. They truly care that you are enjoying your meal and cooked to satisfy your palate. When I try a new lunch spot the pad see ew is my go to. If that's good then it's likely that the other dishes are good too. Get this with beef! Well worth it. I also got a Thai ice tea too that's yummy. The lady is very sweet and let me eat inside even though I ordered for pickup. It's a small place but worth a visit. read more

Food was quite good, not the "best" Thai food I've ever had but quite good. Four stars because it was not nearly as spicy as i expected. The person who took my order was great but she kind of talked me into getting the medium spicy, which lead me to believe (and i asked) that hot was "Thai spicy." Unlike some other commenters here i didn't think the portions were that big. Nice place, nice people, very good food so i recommend. read more

Thai for Thought offers authentic Thai food that took me back to my trip to Bangkok 20 years ago. The two ladies who run the restaurant make you feel like family. Feeling a bit homesick and missing my mom, this place made me feel right at home. The portions are generous and priced very well.
