$15 lunch special EVERYDAY 1130-330 Ive only ordered delivery. Ive had the pad thai, basil fried rice, pad se ew, and thai fried rice. All are great for Manhattan. Pad thai isn't the best ive had BUT Chomp Chomp makes up for it with the portion size. I do really enjoy their fried rice. Their choice of appetizers (2 veg/noodle spring rolls or chicken tom yum) are great additions to the lunch special. Another BIG PLUS is that they dont skimp on the protein even on the lunch portion!!! And the protein prices are the same for the offerings (veggie, tofu, chicken, beef, shrimp, pork & mock duck). That is a game changer in 2026!! Other thai places charge up to $7 for a different protein on top of the price going up to $25+ for a lunch special so $15 is an AMAZING DEAL for this neighborhood and in 2026. Please dont change Chomp Chomp!! Will come back again!
We came here for lunch on a weekend and were seated immediately. The place is quite small so it can get full quickly. Tables are quite close to each other, it feels a little tighter than I would've liked. They have a lunch menu even on weekends! Includes a soup or spring rolls, we opted for the spring rolls and they were perfectly crispy. Flavor wise was okay, nothing too memorable. We tried the Tom yum noodles and the kra pow (seemed to be ground beef over rice with egg). I was craving something spicy so I was excited for the kra pow to give me a kick. It wasn't that spicy and I don't have a good spice tolerance at all. I did ask for medium so I'm not sure. But overall, the dish was quite good. The Tom yum was not quite what we were expecting, there was cha siu meat. But flavor wise it was pretty Tom yum flavor. Overall: it's a really cozy, affordable Thai spot but wasn't too amazed by what we ordered. Perhaps they have a signature dish they are known for? I would be down to try their basil fried rice next time.
We were in the neighborhood around dinner time on a weekday so walked in to see if the had a table. The lady there greeted us and had us wait a few minutes before a table opened up. Services was friendly and prompt. We ordered two dishes and both were really good. I always get pad thai and theirs was very good. Both dishes in general were much enjoyed. It's a nice small spot that's BYOB btw. Enjoyed our meal here - recommended.
Wonderful, authentic mom and pop restaurant that beats out other restaurants in the Manhattan area both in food quality and price point. We originally went for Friday night dinner and came back for the lunch special as well. For dinner as 5, we got Curry Puff as an appetizer and 3 entrees: Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Khao Soi. The curry puff was really yummy and stood out as something new and all of the dishes were made hot and were equally outstanding. I really like the drunken noodles as they were spicy, the curry and fried noodles in the khao soi, and the savoriness of the pad Thai. Lunch special portions are generous and filling. I really enjoyed the tom yum soup that came with the lunch special, and the alternative, egg rolls, were fried hot for the order as well. Lastly, the interior and service of the restaurant is lovely. Each table had a flower on top. I can really see the charm of the owners in the colors and decor. Overall, great food and truly well kept!
we got their lunch special. huge portions with a good price. the most expensive item is khao soi and the soup noodles. khao soi has 3 huge pieces of chicken thigh and the egg noodles soaked all the curry broth, soo flavorful. the crispy noodles added texture and the pickles. elevated the whole soup. everything else was very solid as well. will definitely come back!!
Good service and tight cozy spot. I got the basil beef dish spicy, and it was pretty good. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.
This hole-in-the-wall appearing restaurant has delicious authentic Thai food. They have the lunch special even on the weekend which is rare to find. I ordered the drunken noodle with beef and it tasted quite flavorful! It's definitely a medium spicy so you've been warned. The lunch special also comes with a tom yum soup that was very flavorful. My also got the pork appetizer which had a sweet marinate with a sauce that paired nicely. They didn't take too long for the food. I'd recommend this restaurant if you are looking for legit Thai food!
Really good thai spot! Stopped by last night with some friends and enjoyed all the dishes, everything was soo good, from the shrimp to duck, to pork pad see ew and minced pork dish, flavorful and yummy. The iced tea was good too! Highly recommended. Small space though so come early to beat the crowd. Friendly staff!
Just came back to add more pics. Trying more foods here. Great place but i will say, it's quite inconsistent. sometimes my pad thai will be a 10/10 other times it would be a 7/10. But anyway the rice plates on their menu are the true star. so many great options here. Small place so it gets crowded very quick but service is kind.
Delicious and affordable spot for a Thai lunch. The Khao Soi was so flavorful with a generous portion of chicken. The chicken in Pad See Ew was a bit too dry, but the flavor of the dish was great. Love love love that the side soup is Tom Yum Gong!
We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Chomp Chomp. The restaurant is arguably small, and making reservations is highly recommended. They don't serve any alcoholic drinks, but on the good side, they're BYOB. For an appetizer, we shared chicken wings with sweet chili sauce and ordered a bowl of chicken Tom Yum soup that is good for two people. For our main entree, we shared stir-fried rice with crab meat and eggs and paired it with fried seafood with traditional Thai curry sauce. (We gave plus 1 star to this dish as the fried seafood was not swimming in curry sauce.) It truly exceeded our expectations from this restaurant. From price point, customer service, and flavor of each and every dish. If you are in the Lower East Side and craving some authentic Thai dishes, this place is worth a visit.
SERVICE - located on the intersection of 1st ave and Houston street - small interior with enough seating for 20 people - tables can feel cramped together - restroom located downstairs - servers moved very quickly when taking orders and clearing plates which made it feel like we had to rush our meal - ambiance good for a casual lunch or dinner MENU - standard Thai menu - vegan and vegetarian options available - well priced ($15 per entree) FOOD - drunken noodles with tofu (5/10): wide noodles coated in a spicy sauce with fried tofu and mixed vegetables. I asked for it to be spicy and was not expecting the hit of chili that I got with every bite. There was no flavor other than heat. The tofu felt over fried and covered in oil. WOULD I COME BACK? I was not a huge fan.
Some of the best Thai food in New York City at an outstanding price! Incredible flavors. Everything cooked to perfection. Friendly servers. I make an effort to go to Chomp Chomp every time I visit NYC.

Tiny, cool hole in the wall just north of Houston good service and excellent Thai food. We had the lunch special, good price for classic Thai dishes that included choice of soup or spring rolls. The tom yum soup was delicious. The spring rolls were fine. The main courses, though, were very delicious. We had drunken noodle and pad Thai chicken. I asked for a little spice in the pad Thai and be careful what you ask for! Nose running and tear streaming. But it was very, very tasty! Server was thankfully quick with the water refills. I recommend! read more

The lunch special here is a phenomenal deal (entree and soup or spring rolls). I went with two friends and was able to try three entrees and both appetizers. The restaurant was super accommodating in making all of the items vegetarian. The spring rolls were crispy, but nothing too special. The soup had plenty of flavor and was my favorite of the appetizers (the vegetarian option comes with just mushrooms). All the entrees were solid. The Pad Thai and curry were about on par with those you'd get elsewhere. The basil fried rice was my favorite of the three entrees because of the extra heat. For just $11-12 per person, this deal is pretty hard to beat. This pricing is also available on the weekend, which is also very convenient. read more

My siblings and I came here for their lunch special which was only $11USD!! I got the pad thai with tofu and tom yum soup as the appetizer. The portion was excellent and the food was so hearty and filling. The tom yum soup was definitely more on the sour side. Service was great and our waters were constantly being refilled which was much needed on a very hot day. I would honestly love to come back to try their other dishes as well. My sister got their pad kee mao and my brother got their fried rice and they both also enjoyed their meals very much. The restaurant also has a very cute aesthetic. read more
This cozy little Thai spot spot is located in the heart of LES. Definitely a good spot to come to for some classic bites and Thai specials. I ordered the Thai iced tea with the massaman nue. It was a beef rib dish with peanut yet slightly spicy curry sauce with rice and fries. It was super delicious and a go to if you want a hearty meal. Throughout the dining experience service was efficient and staff was really nice. Would come back :) read more

Tired of pretentious and overpriced Thai food? (Yes, Chalong, I'm talking about you.) Give this place a try - you won't be disappointed! Small and unassuming place that serves delicious Thai food. The Khao Soi was soooo good - super flavorful and very large portion. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. The appetizers were also really good. The pork was very juicy and well marinated. If you're a carnivore, you'd love how meaty their "salads" are, haha. Space is pretty tight, but service was attentive. read more

I was truly blown away by my meal at Chomp Chomp last night! Seeing the high ratings, I knew it would be good, but it exceeded my expectations. My friend and I ordered 3 entrees: a pad thai to share, Khao soi for myself and pad see ew for her. All three dishes were delicious, and a very generous portion for the price. I got the Khao soi medium spicy, but plan on trying it spicier the next time I come. Because of the generous portions, I had leftovers for lunch which I am VERY excited to dig into. Service was also very friendly, and we didn't feel rushed. I recommend reserving a table through Yelp since it was packed at 7:30 on a weeknight. Happy to have found a new go-to Thai spot in Lower Manhattan! read more
I'm such a creature of habit it's disgusting. I get takeout from Terra Thai 2-3 times a week, but I walk by Chomp Chomp everyday and always see it packed. I always think about trying it instead of Terra Thai, but get scared at the last minute. I just find the opportunity cost of my Terra Thai spicy basil chicken plate (w/ extra chicken) so great. I know exactly what I'm getting, and if I order from somewhere else and don't like it, then I literally wasted a Terra Thai plate and that is just so tough to come to terms with. A heavy cross to bear. Anyways, all this to say last Friday I worked up the courage to break free from the chains of habit and ordered the spicy basil chicken plate (w/ extra chicken) from the hole in the wall that is Chomp Chomp and took it to my big bros crib to watch basketball. It also helped that Terra Thai was already closed hahaha. It came with SO much Chicken and probably a cup and a half of rice. They were not skimping on the extra chicken like a lot of places do. Honestly, it was fantastic and I had not one regret. The chicken was well seasoned with a healthy amount of spice that made me feel alive. Big bro even took the name down because he liked the couple bites I gave him. This may be the first thing I've ever put big bro on! I'm still taking Terra Thai, as something in the way they chop & season their chicken is just so different...but Chomp Chomp is a GREAT backup point guard. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__ read more

I don't even know if I want people to find out about this place. This is a such a hidden gem. It's a small restaurant. Everything is so flavorful. I like how they have other kinds of noodles besides the usual pad thai, pad see ew, etc. I like all of them. So I'm not gonna pick. Oh. And the Lemon Thai Iced Tea is refreshing with all the dishes. The coffee and Thai iced tea is a bit too sweet for me though. With dinning out almost becomes unaffordable in the city, this place deserves all the likes. Super cute little hole in the wall with a great lunch special! Nomz: The lunch special is ~$11 with a spring roll or soup and an entree. I've tried the drunken noodles, basil sauce chicken and red curry. The drunken noodles have a good kick to them as they come, you can adjust the spice level, nice noodle texture and flavor, great overall dish. The basil sauce chicken was also pretty spicy as it comes, really flavorful sauce and plenty of rice - my fav. The red curry was on the sweeter side and not as flavorful as I would have liked, won't get again. Service: Really sweet waitress and overall great service. Ambiance: Small, cozy, minimalistic cute place. Nope or Dope: Dope, find me a better deal in East village for lunch - now on my go-to lunch list! read more

I think I've found the best Thai food I've had in NYC. So unassuming which is why I was so surprised. The papaya salad was so refreshing with the perfect amount of crunch and fish sauce. The fried tofu was lightly golden crisp with the silkiest soften tofu on the inside. The moo yang which is like a grilled pork was such a tasty surprise. It had a nice sweetness and charred from the grill. For an appetizer, it was a huge portion. I just wanted to eat it with a bowl of rice. Their tom yum soup was just the right amount of sour that hits the back of your throat. So perfect for that cold evening dinner. All the entrees were delicious as well. We had so much leftovers. It a small space so the restaurant got pretty packed pretty quickly so a reservation would be ideal. All in all I was very surprised by how good and fairly priced the food was. I almost wanted to gate keep. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. read more
