$15 lunch special EVERYDAY 1130-330 Ive only ordered delivery. Ive had the pad thai, basil fried rice, pad se ew, and thai fried rice. All are great for Manhattan. Pad thai isn't the best ive had BUT Chomp Chomp makes up for it with the portion size. I do really enjoy their fried rice. Their choice of appetizers (2 veg/noodle spring rolls or chicken tom yum) are great additions to the lunch special. Another BIG PLUS is that they dont skimp on the protein even on the lunch portion!!! And the protein prices are the same for the offerings (veggie, tofu, chicken, beef, shrimp, pork & mock duck). That is a game changer in 2026!! Other thai places charge up to $7 for a different protein on top of the price going up to $25+ for a lunch special so $15 is an AMAZING DEAL for this neighborhood and in 2026. Please dont change Chomp Chomp!! Will come back again!

We came here for lunch on a weekend and were seated immediately. The place is quite small so it can get full quickly. Tables are quite close to each other, it feels a little tighter than I would've liked. They have a lunch menu even on weekends! Includes a soup or spring rolls, we opted for the spring rolls and they were perfectly crispy. Flavor wise was okay, nothing too memorable. We tried the Tom yum noodles and the kra pow (seemed to be ground beef over rice with egg). I was craving something spicy so I was excited for the kra pow to give me a kick. It wasn't that spicy and I don't have a good spice tolerance at all. I did ask for medium so I'm not sure. But overall, the dish was quite good. The Tom yum was not quite what we were expecting, there was cha siu meat. But flavor wise it was pretty Tom yum flavor. Overall: it's a really cozy, affordable Thai spot but wasn't too amazed by what we ordered. Perhaps they have a signature dish they are known for? I would be down to try their basil fried rice next time.

We were in the neighborhood around dinner time on a weekday so walked in to see if the had a table. The lady there greeted us and had us wait a few minutes before a table opened up. Services was friendly and prompt. We ordered two dishes and both were really good. I always get pad thai and theirs was very good. Both dishes in general were much enjoyed. It's a nice small spot that's BYOB btw. Enjoyed our meal here - recommended.

Wonderful, authentic mom and pop restaurant that beats out other restaurants in the Manhattan area both in food quality and price point. We originally went for Friday night dinner and came back for the lunch special as well. For dinner as 5, we got Curry Puff as an appetizer and 3 entrees: Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Khao Soi. The curry puff was really yummy and stood out as something new and all of the dishes were made hot and were equally outstanding. I really like the drunken noodles as they were spicy, the curry and fried noodles in the khao soi, and the savoriness of the pad Thai. Lunch special portions are generous and filling. I really enjoyed the tom yum soup that came with the lunch special, and the alternative, egg rolls, were fried hot for the order as well. Lastly, the interior and service of the restaurant is lovely. Each table had a flower on top. I can really see the charm of the owners in the colors and decor. Overall, great food and truly well kept!

we got their lunch special. huge portions with a good price. the most expensive item is khao soi and the soup noodles. khao soi has 3 huge pieces of chicken thigh and the egg noodles soaked all the curry broth, soo flavorful. the crispy noodles added texture and the pickles. elevated the whole soup. everything else was very solid as well. will definitely come back!!

Good service and tight cozy spot. I got the basil beef dish spicy, and it was pretty good. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

This hole-in-the-wall appearing restaurant has delicious authentic Thai food. They have the lunch special even on the weekend which is rare to find. I ordered the drunken noodle with beef and it tasted quite flavorful! It's definitely a medium spicy so you've been warned. The lunch special also comes with a tom yum soup that was very flavorful. My also got the pork appetizer which had a sweet marinate with a sauce that paired nicely. They didn't take too long for the food. I'd recommend this restaurant if you are looking for legit Thai food!

Really good thai spot! Stopped by last night with some friends and enjoyed all the dishes, everything was soo good, from the shrimp to duck, to pork pad see ew and minced pork dish, flavorful and yummy. The iced tea was good too! Highly recommended. Small space though so come early to beat the crowd. Friendly staff!

Just came back to add more pics. Trying more foods here. Great place but i will say, it's quite inconsistent. sometimes my pad thai will be a 10/10 other times it would be a 7/10. But anyway the rice plates on their menu are the true star. so many great options here. Small place so it gets crowded very quick but service is kind.

    Pad See Ew, Khao Soi

Delicious and affordable spot for a Thai lunch. The Khao Soi was so flavorful with a generous portion of chicken. The chicken in Pad See Ew was a bit too dry, but the flavor of the dish was great. Love love love that the side soup is Tom Yum Gong!

Crispy fried seafood on Thai curry sauce, crabmeat fried rice

We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Chomp Chomp. The restaurant is arguably small, and making reservations is highly recommended. They don't serve any alcoholic drinks, but on the good side, they're BYOB. For an appetizer, we shared chicken wings with sweet chili sauce and ordered a bowl of chicken Tom Yum soup that is good for two people. For our main entree, we shared stir-fried rice with crab meat and eggs and paired it with fried seafood with traditional Thai curry sauce. (We gave plus 1 star to this dish as the fried seafood was not swimming in curry sauce.) It truly exceeded our expectations from this restaurant. From price point, customer service, and flavor of each and every dish. If you are in the Lower East Side and craving some authentic Thai dishes, this place is worth a visit.

SERVICE - located on the intersection of 1st ave and Houston street - small interior with enough seating for 20 people - tables can feel cramped together - restroom located downstairs - servers moved very quickly when taking orders and clearing plates which made it feel like we had to rush our meal - ambiance good for a casual lunch or dinner MENU - standard Thai menu - vegan and vegetarian options available - well priced ($15 per entree) FOOD - drunken noodles with tofu (5/10): wide noodles coated in a spicy sauce with fried tofu and mixed vegetables. I asked for it to be spicy and was not expecting the hit of chili that I got with every bite. There was no flavor other than heat. The tofu felt over fried and covered in oil. WOULD I COME BACK? I was not a huge fan.

Some of the best Thai food in New York City at an outstanding price! Incredible flavors. Everything cooked to perfection. Friendly servers. I make an effort to go to Chomp Chomp every time I visit NYC.

We were seated promptly , then given our customary beverage orders (Thai iced tea, of course). And while mulling over the menu with excellent choices , our server Salina suggested certain items for dinner. Her recommendations were spot on. We tried the papaya salad, soft shell crab, deboned duck, crispy pork with noodles. And the crispy branzino... everything was devoured quickly!! The dishes were full of flavor, but some were lacking in spiciness(our request really since we had a friend who could not tolerate spices). The post-meal dessert was very good as well. The interior was super nice, with very nice decors hung all around the restaurant. They had two floors, especially second floor was massive, so they were able to sit a lot guests. They had the both regular, lunch special and drinks menu. I ordered the crab fried rice dish from lunch menu. It came with a salad bowl. The salad just had lettuce and cherry tomatoes, mixed with some delicious dressing. The crab fried rice came with some cucumbers and two sauces. The sauces had such spicy kick, they enhanced the flavor of the rice and crab so much. They were excellent dipping sauce for the cucumbers too. Just loved the whole dish. Being lunch special, the portion was small, so I was sad when the plate was empty but I was still craving for more. For $32, I feel they could have served a bit more. But other lunch menu dishes were mostly around $18. The service was excellent. Several staff members constantly walked around the floor like Marshals, takings ordering, serving dishes, refilling water, taking out empty dishes, and doing checkouts right on the spot. After guests left, they were turning over the empty tables super quickly. No wonder we a table in such short time. Since it's so close to my work place, I'll be back here soon for sure to try other dishes.

They had a very respectable pad see ew beef - sweet and savory, good amount of egg, a little stronger bitter broccoli but otherwise a good dish, good quantity to fill you up even though in the bowl it seemed smaller than it actually was with the rice noodle cooked well. The steamed sea bass with garlic and lime (Pla Neueng Manow) had beautifully cooked sea bass with a very nice spicy/sour/savory green garlic sauce which I'll have to try again. The fried version is supposedly very good, too, and the one person that always gets the basil fried rice had a wonderful aroma that we'll have to try again later. Mango sticky rice was a tasty dessert (although we probably didn't need the 3 orders they recommended for our table of 6), though usually like I like the purple rice version better, and came with a very cute shovel spoon. They gave a free birthday dessert of caramel delight which was ok, crumbly and sweet (I'm not a caramel fan but others liked it). Overall, good experience and solid food - while not the best Thai I've ever had, this certainly is a keeper for the Midtown East area. Will come again soon to try the lunch specials! Service was a little slow due to how busy they were, but do appreciate the birthday candle for the birthday friend!

A quick ride on the LIRR or E Train will have you enjoying some of the best Thai food NYC has to offer. For me it all started with their Shrimp Croquettes that were fried to perfection and packed with flavor, then it was the Crispy Pork Belly, and for a second, I had to ask myself, am I in the Dominican Republic?! The crunch, seasoning, and flavor in every bite let me know immediately that they understood the crispy pork belly assignment! Let's not forget the cocktails! Each drink paired beautifully with the appetizers and dishes throughout our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the entrées. Their menu ranges from specialty seafood dishes to authentic, modern Thai cuisine. As a seafood lover, I especially appreciated the generous amount of Lump Crab meat in the Southern Crab Curry. The flavor was rich, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering. But the unexpected STAR of the night was the #TaroCustard! Who knew that the "everything bagel energy" could transfer so effortlessly into a dessert?! It was those crispy fried shallots that did it for me! If you're a true #Foodie, you already know sometimes it's that unexpected flavor assist/combination that creates pure magic on your tongue. These were new on the summer menu and I hope they stay! The dipping sauce in the calamari was sweet, tangy and syrupy with some heat but not too sweet. It was good without the sauce but with it, made it even better. The soft shell crab larb, wow, blew us away. The crunch and heat factor with the basil "salad" was out of this world. I happily introduced her to my two favorite go tos: the crab fried rice and the steamed branzino. The crab fried rice was nothing like I was used to. Even at some of the other notable Thai restaurants I've been to, their crab fried rice presentation was basic compared to this one. The egg on this fried rice was soft and melty the soon it touches your tongue, and we didn't even have to chew it. It melted perfectly with the buttery crab and the rice was so warm and soft. It was a sizable portion but it didn't take us long to gobble it all down. Then came the steamed branzino. The presentation here I want to say is so unique that it blew me away. The fish was cut so that the head and tail of the fish was chopped off (a little disappointed but glad it was clean cut), the fish was so soft you would question if it was even fish...the soup was lightly seasoned with chili and lime and it wasn't super overpoweringly spicy that you can still taste the fish flavor. Everything was delicious and they even had a pre fixe menu that I will definitely come back and try again! My drink I ordered was also very creative and a mix of strong bourbon with the creaminess of Thai tea. Very interesting combination but I don't hate it! It was strong and welcoming and I want to try the other drinks when I come back as well. As pictured, the drink menu is beautiful and our server came back and forth to make sure everything was okay.
