Best tomyum I've had in my life! So delicious and very filling! I also tried their pad thai which I thought it was just okay, I thought it needed more flavor. Mango sticky rice was good but the mango itself was not really sweet which was kinda disappointing. I did really enjoy the ambiance but I felt that the service wasn't that good. We did go during happy hour and the drinks were really good.

Checking this place out....trekking in the snow!

Braved the snow storm to check this place out. I was craving Thai and this place was not too far from the hotel and close to theaters. I didn't mind getting seated at the bar. I got to watch the bartender making various delicious looking cocktails. The delicious smell from the kitchen as I sat and looked through the menu made my mouth water! Under Chef's Signature Dishes, I was debating among Black Spaghetti Pad Cha, Black Spaghetti Crab Curry, or Beef Steak with Tallow Fried Rice. The server suggested the Beef Steak with Tallow Fried Rice because it's newly added to their menu (I don't see it on their online menu). I'm glad I followed her suggestion because IT WAS SO GOOD! Thai-style beef fried rice cooked with beef tallow, served with grilled steak. The beef was cooked perfectly, medium rare and was so flavorful. The rice is full of flavor too! It comes with a dipping sauce and drizzling it on the meat just added another level of yumminess! Staff were very friendly. Bartender carried a friendly conversation but also let me enjoy my dinner in peace. The server checked on me every so often which was nice. In the end, I was telling the manager how much I liked their decoration, he invited me to look upstairs as well. Their upstairs is nicely decorated as well and has its own bar. Perfect for a private party! I would love to go back and try their other dishes.

I love trying out Thai restaurants and my experience at SaiTong reinforces my predilection! I sat as a solo diner at the bar for the restaurant week menu, and all the savory dishes were impressive. The two appetizers of the wings and the pork puff (a great recommendation from the bartender) were outstanding. The branzino coated in tuneric and spices was also amazing, and there was SO MUCH FOOD offered! The only slight downside was that it was not mango season, and the restaurant replaces mangos with ice cream in their dessert for the time being. It was still a tasty dessert, but can't beat the real thing.

Cute spot. Although there were no available reservations under resy I called and they were able to get my friend and I one. Food came out pretty quickly. The crab fried rice was delicious. Thick pieces of crab meat. I requested sweet chilli sauce to add to it and I wasn't charged extra like some places. I do wish it came with my rice. I had calamari as my app and it was decent. The ambiance was giving date night, solo or even girls dinner. I would def return

One of my go to places and love their more advanced and modern dish options. Service is always quick and friendly. Perfect for any occasions. We especially loved the chicken dish and the two tones of noodles were quite fun to mix and match with.

Found SaiTong Thai on Yelp and made a reservation by calling (albeit a bit late...so we could only get a 6:15 meal time...but we had a show starting at 7:30 nearby). We arrived a bit early and asked if we could sit at the bar and have dinner (instead of waiting to get started at 6:15). Accommodated immediately. Ordered drinks and chicken satay. Then we ordered the green curry and crab fried rice (I had read that was one of the most popular dishes). The satay was one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked with strong lemongrass flavor...SO good. The green curry reminded us of our trip to Thailand-spot on with some kick. Crab fried rice was decadent and buttery. Service was great and I enjoyed my special cocktail to start. (XiJoy: Cointreau, sesame oil, lime juice, simple Syrup, orange bitters). I expected it to be savory, but it was mild and just sweet enough. The vibe here is very trendy and upscale.

First time visiting SaiTong Thai after watching a show on Christmas Eve, and it did not disappoint. The location is excellent--conveniently close to the theater--and the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The food is elevated, high-end Thai cuisine. Our daughter loved the guava breeze mocktails and the Thai tea. The green curry had the perfect am of coconut and spice, and the crab fried rice was packed with generous pieces of crab meat. Every dish we tried was full of flavor--honestly, it's hard to describe just how good it all was. You'll just have to come and experience it for yourself.

After work out with my besties! SaiTong is located in the theater district and was nice and cozy for an evening out with the girls after a long day at work. Host was very friendly and seated us promptly upon arrival for our 5:30p reservations. We came during happy hour and the girls ordered their cocktails and I ordered my mocktail since I don't drink. Food was very yummy and portions were nice size. Spice level was perfect for me. Our apps were fried calamari and pancakes both with a delicious dipping sauce. My girls loved the turmeric branzino and the garlic lime branzino. I had the black spaghetti crab curry which hit the spot for me!! Will definitely visit this place again. They were very nice and allowed us to chat for about an hour after paying our bill I think they knew we were catching up on life. Super sweet of them any other place would have asked us to leave. So much appreciation to the staff at SaiTong for a great time out with my beasties

This was our first time at SaiTong Thai, and it was the perfect pre-show dinner. Conveniently located in the theater district, the restaurant has only been open for about a year but you wouldn't know it from the level of service, high-quality food, and trendy ambience. We came on a busy Friday night with a reservation, but we were running late. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate us and push our table by about 30 minutes. One person in our party is disabled, and the staff was kind enough to ask if stairs were okay, which I thought was very thoughtful and considerate. We were seated immediately. The menu was impressive. Thai classics on the last page, but also a number of seasonal dishes and chef's specialties that really caught my eye. There's a strong seafood presence too: whole fish, soft shell crab, lobster, and other proteins you don't often see on most Thai menus. The cuisine definitely feels elevated. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful when I asked for recommendations. The food arrived quickly, and we were able to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed before the show. I ordered the fried branzino with garlic, which was delightful. It was light, aromatic, and full of flavor. My husband had the drunken noodles, moderately spicy and nicely sauced and seasoned. I also really loved the ambience. The décor is beautiful, with golden motifs across the ceiling that make the space feel warm and stylish. We will definitely be back.

We love trying different Thai restaurants around the United States. This location in New York is close to Times Square. We got the right at their evening opening hour of 5 PM. We got seated right away and their staff is very friendly. The food for us was pretty standard and just OK. Nothing spectacular for us, but tasted good. We were there visiting a friend and unfortunately they do have a time limit if you finish your food as they needed the table and we were asked to leave. They are a small restaurant so I guess they needed the table. Not sure we will return again.

I had a great experience here! The service was quick, all the staff were very nice and the food was awesome. I enjoyed the drinks but the main dishes were the stand out. The dishes were actually spicy which I find hard to find at a lot of restaurants. Plus the portions were very generous! The spring rolls were a bit bland but otherwise I enjoyed everything and will be back!

Came here with my sister at 6:30 on a Thursday with no reservation. The staff was absolutely so kind and welcoming and efficient. The place was packed but they were able to seat us within ten minutes! The decor in this restaurant is absolutely beautiful and great for a dinner date. We ordered the creamy seafood tom yum and the curry roti appetizer, and we were stuffed. The food came out quickly and was delicious! A little pricey but I expected that going in. If I found myself with a guest craving Thai food, I'd definitely keep this place in mind.

A full Thai feast at SaiTong Thai and every dish delivered. The mango salad with grilled tiger shrimp was bright and refreshing -- sweet, smoky, and beautifully balanced. The grilled branzino was delicately crisp with fragrant herbs, while the shrimp pad Thai had that essential wok-kissed depth. The crab meat fried rice was decadent without being heavy. The crispy duck with spicy tamarind sauce? Absolute standout, sweet, tangy heat with perfectly rendered skin. And the pork belly... indulgent, crisp, and unapologetically rich. Elevated Thai in the heart of Midtown -- stylish, flavorful, and worth the visit.

Considering the hectic 48hrs of non-stop traveling and celebrations, I would've been satisfied with a simple takeout meal to end the weekend but to my surprise, one of the best experiences of the trip was yet to come. Thankfully I was blessed with great friends to recommend this exceptional establishment known as Mitr Thai in Midtown Manhattan. Though the trip was centered around a wedding, my experience here instantly became the highlight of my trip to the City. One very genuine friend arranged this dinner, making a reservation for 3 for 7:30pm. To our surprise, we actually made it from Connecticut, walked from Grand Central and to Mitr Thai at 7:25pm even though they won't seat you until your entire party is there. After passing through the scaffolding, the restaurant has a two-door entry, one host after another, leading to a quaint but alluring lobby area. We were greeted by both hosts even though we were bogged down with luggage. The space was welcoming and had a sense of elegance as there was a blend of hardwood furnishings, low lighting and a heavy dose of Thai art/fixtures. For context: Labor Day Monday, at 7-8pm, there was a steady demand as the waiting bench remained full. There were even guests standing but even as more people came in, people were being seated at a consistent rate. Our 3rd friend arrived closer to 8pm and we were seated immediately. Our bags were placed in a small room behind the host podium and we were seated 20-30 meters from the door along the wall facing the bar. The menus were very comprehensive: large, descriptive and filled with graphics that left me wondering if I could try it all. I couldn't praise our server (Mindy) enough. She knew the kitchen, bar and any/all offerings like her own name. She had individual recommendations for each of us AND ADDITIONAL OPTIONS. I listened, ordered the Short Rib Prik Kang and indulged in a Verdant Whisper (Tequila, Cucumber, Lime). I'm not sure how but our food arrived less than 15mins later! The short rib looked good enough to make the entire restaurant jealous: the curry paste glistened in the light, the aroma called my name while the garnishes winked at me. To my disbelief, as good as it looked, it tasted even better! The sauce was robust, smooth, creamy & just spicy enough. Since the ribs slid off the bone, I mixed in the white mixed rice and ate it as a meal. I can proudly say I've never had anything like it. Oh yeah, the cocktail? Smooth, refreshing and relaxing. Worth every penny. I was elated with the overall experience and chose to pay for both of my friend's meals. My only regret is not having more to tip! Mindy gave us the table to chat for another 30mins but in the back of my mind I was still enamored from the meal. I had no expectations when I entered Mitr Thai but I left with a sincere amount of praise and admiration. From cuisine to the hospitality down to the furnishings, dining here was one of the best overall experiences I've had in YEARS. I cannot say enough about this establishment and I hope they Always Strive & Prosper.

As a Thai person myself and as indicated on their menu, it's the way most Thais eat this dish :) The fried egg added that rich, runny element that really brings everything together. Excellent selection and execution of southern Thai cuisine. I'm familiar with the general cuisine…read moreand specialties of the north and northeast. The offerings is a nice introduction to the southern dishes and flavors. For a party of 2, we tried the Baerng Golae (shrimp and curry in a coconut taco) (we doubled this order because it's that good), Yum Som-O (pomelo salad with bits of fried fish), Lumpu Salad (scallops with fried shallots), and Phuket Pak Mor (steamed rice dumplings filled with sweet radish and peanuts) to start. For the mains, we got the Pla Tod (deep fried fish) and the Mee Pum Riang (Southern Style Pad Thai). Personally, while I enjoyed these with my friend who has dietary preferences, I would go back and try the other unique dishes. For dessert, we got the traditional mango and coconut rice and also the Thai tea ice cream. Some dishes are spicy but all are very flavorful.
