Great flavors but dinner portions are looking smallish these days, not sure noodles are worth the $17 bill.. but u do get that hot wok fire flavor in their dishes which is what I like the most..

Came here on a Sunday for an early dinner. The restaurant was about to close and prep for their dinner service. Thankfully they were kind enough to take 9 of us for a quick meal but we had to get our orders in quickly before the kitchen closes. Everything came out relative quick which was perfect as there were 6 kids and only 3 adults. We all enjoyed the dishes and most were finished. The fried chicken was pretty tasty as were the noodles. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny so perhaps go at off peak times for dine in or make a reservation ahead of time. The staff was friendly enough to give us containers for our leftovers.

And the finale... hair in my food! YAY

Oh where do I begin?!? First of all, this place is tiny so to wait over half hour just to order is insane. Waitress ignored the LIFE out of us for some reason. Then once got food, the lady stands with the door WIDE open for TEN MINUTES talking to an a customer she forgot to give them their food. Btw it's literally 20 degrees outside. Entire restaurant BEGGING her to close the door. Then, one of the servers, bare hands wiped the floor, turns around DOESN'T wash her hands and starts handling food, drinks and etc. I'm so GOOD! DON'T order their "alcoholic" drinks... it's pure JUICE too! I love life, I love thai food, I'm not a fussy person so me to discover all these things is a telling story. This place is NOT IT!

fantastic experience at Bangkok 2 Thai! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors and left us wanting more. The fried rice was perfectly cooked, with a wonderful balance of seasoning and just the right amount of crunch. Although I will say they were heavy handed on the salt. The pad Thai was savory, slightly sweet, and packed with fresh ingredients. Pad see ew was definitely my favorite. The noodles were tender, and the sauce was rich and delicious. If you're looking for authentic Thai food that hits all the right notes, Bangkok 2 Thai is a must-visit. Service was quick and attentive. There was a strangler who came into the restaurant and tried to ruin our experience but the servers kindly escorted him out and he didn't return so it didn't ruin the atmosphere too much at all actually. Great spot!

If you're looking for some legit Thai food, you gotta check out Bangkok2Thai! This place has been around for over a decade, and everything we tried was so good. The Steak Basil Fried Rice was amazing, and the Kaprow Over Rice had the perfect amount of spice. It seriously tastes like real Bangkok street food! Also, the Pla Rod Yum Mango Bronzini--the mango salad on top is super refreshing. If you want that authentic Thai flavor, swing by! It's right near Gramercy Park and the service is awesome too. Featuring : Duck roll. Papaya salad. Very solid thai spot for lunch! Got their lunch special which is $12.95 for a salad, spring roll, and entree. I chose the chicken pad thai and it was really good and the portion was very generous. I got sat at 12pm and finished at around 12:30. They give you your food very quickly and are very attentive. You truly can't beat this deal! I recommend going early because it definitely picks up quick!

This is thai food restaurant that serves Bangkok street food in a cozy & artful ambiance. They opened their doors in 2010, more than a decades ago, so you know they have been around. They serve several thai dishes but some of our favorites are the Mocktails, Ground Beef Krapow & Crab Fried Rice.

    Khao Soi Gai
    Sujan P.

By far one of my most favorite Thai restaurants. Quality, authenticity, and thoughtfulness come yo mind. Quality- the photo is of Khao soi which believe it or not is from takeout the day before as you can see, the chicken is prepared finally sliced be mindful to the grain of the chicken, there's ample amount of the condiment ingredients and a generous portion. I don't even think my photo does justice to how beautifully prepared the dish it really is to have to try to understand, the curry base they use tastes as actually handmade quality, there's a very slight coarseness as opposed to mass manufactured pulverized to powder. Amazing. Larb gai- again outstanding preparation! I love that any time I have asked for a modification they always very carefully follow through. I am also impressed by the cultural relativity, in the sense that they use an American spice/heat scale rather than Thai . That said, mild/level 1 means any sharp spice will be minimized or omitted. This was really interesting because if you like the typical taste of the dish, then you have an opportunity to try it without certain ingredients and maybe realize you like it more (or less). I'm fairly certain people who, like sharp spices will probably not be very fond of the mild versions! I hope they'll consider expanding the menu to include dishes which are amazing but rarely seen outside of Thailand but are probably made in Thai American households or when seasonal ingredients available as I'm sure they'll be amazing under this chef.

Coconut Soup is the best Thai soup I've ever had in NYC hands down. FULL of mushrooms, cilantro, cabbage, PACKED with tender chicken.

Not all midtown restaurants stay open past 10, and I was relieved to find their kitchen going strong at that hour, as well as their dining space, which was full. Turned out it was for good reason because their food was delicious. My friend and I were hoping to eat at a restaurant nearby specializing in crab, but they closed much earlier. Fortunately for us, SaiTong's menu had plenty of crab on it, and we decided to double up and make each of our entree's a crab one. The black spaghetti crab curry and crab curry noodles advertised themselves as being very different dishes in both presentation and ingredients but ended up tasting kind of similar. One was topped with deep fried crab and used a different type of noodle than the other, but the sauces were so similar. This is not to say that they didn't taste good, but I would've preferred more variance. I'm glad we got an order of papaya salad to cut the richness of the other dishes, and I also appreciated it had a nice level of heat in it. Our servers were really friendly without being overbearing, and let us linger for a bit even after we paid the bill, as it was their last seating for the evening. There are so many excellent Thai restaurants in the city and I'd put SaiTong firmly in the category of perfectly solid spots to get your Thai fix, with some special dishes on the chef's menu worth checking out.

As a Thai person myself and as indicated on their menu, it's the way most Thais eat this dish :) The fried egg added that rich, runny element that really brings everything together.
