This is the best place to get freshly roasted whole coffee beans in the 626. The mother ship is in San Dimas which sends fresh batches of beans to this location every Wednesday afternoon. I just picked up this carbonic maceration single origin from Columbia which I am super excited about. They pull a solid shot of espresso which means the drinks here are quality. After seeing rave reviews from numerous people, I found the perfect opportunity on an early Saturday morning. As a first timer, I was standing somewhat close to the counter perusing the menu but once you're ready, follow the markers on the floor. Several of my friends mentioned Klatch having a good Vanilla Latte, which I didn't immediately see on their menu. Thank you Klatch for having oat milk! Ended up ordering two Vanilla Lattes with oat milk. While waiting, I noticed their cafe menu: paninis, cold sandwiches, etc. My drinks were ready within minutes and out the door I went. I frequently buy coffee beans from here to use in my espresso machine at home and they always create incredible-tasting coffee. I LOVE this location. (I've also never been to a bad Klatch, but this one is especially good.) Always friendly, always extremely fast, and idk what it is, but every employee always seems so happy and chill and like they all get along with each other. It's good vibes only, every time. The last time I came in, the person taking orders was so nice to me and I remember that day because I had had a bad day. Him being so nice to me literally made my day so much better. Also, the quality of their coffee is amazing and it is *consistent.* So many times, while a place does have good espresso, they can't quite make it to "consistently good." For some reason, that never happens to me here. This Klatch is 100% always good. This location is on Huntington and shares a lot with Trader Joe's. Parking is not great, especially if you drive an SUV, just a note. I usually find parking during the day, but my advice would be to not come during "after-school" hours because this lot is packed and the spaces are tight. It's also in the same plaza with the likes of B-Man's Teriyaki, Baja Cali Tacos, and TJ's. Parking can be a handful so don't fret and park on. If you don't want to deal with it, you can park along San Gabriel Blvd. Ambiance/Decor: Very clean, aesthetically pleasing to the naked eye, and minimal modern furnishings. For now, it's a take it and go type of coffee shop due to covid. You can sit in the communal tables that is located between B-Man's and Baja Cali tacos. You just need to arm wrestle other patrons for the table. I kidding. Entertainment: If you're all in the IG, they have a moss looking wall right when you enter the establishment. So go NUTS if you dare! Service: Service was great. Staffers were friendly, attentive, and informational, and willing to engage in conversation. Drink Of Choice: I had pour over coffee with with 2-3 ice cubes to cool it down a bit. I was very impressed that they actually had coffee cups sleeves. They really get it. The Guatemala Antigua Hunapu Micro Lot medium light roast that I had was quite solid. Pastries: For now, pastries are being delivered to this location from their headquarter location. The store is very clean and spacious. No problems for social distancing. Once side for ordering and the other for pickup. I ordered the strawberry mint sparkler and a latte with oatmilk. The sparkler was so refreshing and a perfect combination of sweet and tart. The husband wanted to try the latte with oatmilk. I am not a coffee drinker but gave his drink a try. Wow. Something about their beans jack me up every morning- whether it be a regular latte, cold brew or blended ice. Not on the menu and only available this holiday season is their blended ice coffee called Jackolantern, which only the barista knows about. I feel so in the know. I recommend Klatch over some of the other major coffee spots because their lattes are not so sweet nor artificially flavored. A bit high on the milk content but you can also substitute it with non-fat milk. Their small and medium comes with two shots. Large may be more but you'll have to confirm that with the barista. I was eager to try them out as soon as I overheard a couple of coffee snobs talked about the newest addition to the San Gabriel Valley. To be honest, it is nice to have a good coffee spot without having to drive and fight for parking in the Pasadena or DTLA area. Store was very clean and had modern furnishings. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. I wanted to try something new, so I ended up ordering the following for my brunch: - Iced Blended Creme Brulee - Rose Latte - Goat Cheese & Honey Toast The Iced Blended Creme Brulee was too sweet for my liking, but I guess this is the perfect drink for something that wants to be high off sugar. I prefer the rose latte much more because it is not as sweet. No indoor dining yet (Covid19), but the outdoor seating are just a few tables outside in the parking lot. If you want to find somewhere nice to enjoy your cup of joe, I will recommend taking it to Lacy Park and enjoy it there if you are visiting during the weekdays. They've definitely fixed their game since they first opened, for the most part. Lattes here come out as expected now, and they've staffed their baristas with knowledgeable and friendly people such that they'll help you pick out the beans for your home brewery needs based on what your preferences are. I still am pretty fond of their espresso since they mostly aren't too earthy and usually contains some sort of hint of chocolate or molasses. In my own opinion, their espressos go well with unsweetened soy milk (home made latte) as the soy flavor complements their espresso by hooking onto the subtle sweetness and bringing that forward without any additional sugar. Overall, still sourcing my home beans from Klatch but they can be pricy depending on the beans you get. read more

So the quietness when no one else was talking felt really loud! *we also tried to come a second time in the middle of summer (it was like a Thursday at 10am) and... IT WAS PACKED. No seats and so we left for nearby fika in the h mart lot! -drinks: ordered the hot vanilla bean latte! Was warm and good! Lovely place! My friend competed at their actually brewing facility once so I was really curious when I saw they were coming to the area. I'm sensitive to caffeine and actually get my drinks decaf and it's still a lot of caffeine for me. I usually get jitters even with decaf but their coffee was wonderful. No jitters for me. I've tried their vanilla latte and crème brûlée. I personally like the vanilla, the crème brûlée title is a little deceiving to me as it just taste like a caramel latte. Klatch has for sure gone downhill. I recently went back again for a iced large vanilla bean latte. I usually go with regular milk for it, but when the cashier gave me the options, he didn't list regular milk. I assumed they got rid of it or something so I just went with half and half. I eventually went up to a the barista making the coffees to ask if they had regular milk. After avoiding eye contact and realizing I wasn't going to leave, she finally answered my question and said they offer regular milk. Right off the bat, I kind of already knew I was going to be dealing with someone annoyed to be doing their job, so I asked really quick if she'd be able to substitute the half and half and put regular house milk in instead since she hadn't started making my drink yet. She agreed and I thought everything would be fine, but when I got it, the order was in a small size. I went back to the original cashier I ordered it with and told him I thought I ordered a large. He went to tell that same barista who at this time got really mad and grabbed the drink I had left on the counter angrily after confirming this was the drink she had made wrong. It seemed as if she had just added what was in the original cup into the large cup and added more milk instead of actually remaking my actual order. She slid it back across the counter with the same pissed off attitude. I'm honestly not sure since I'm not a coffee expert, but I just assumed the large might have somewhat more caffeine in it instead of just being diluted out with more milk (although I'm aware a latte is mainly milk so idk). If I'm going to pay $8 for a latte, I would've expected better customer service. The cashier seemed like he didn't have his morning cup of joe-- no greeting and seemed irritated. But this might be my favorite sweet coffee to get in the local area. I'm a big fan of black Americano's, overly strong Viet Coffees, but there are still times I want a more milky/sweet latte type of drink. & This Iced Creme Brulee Latte is where it's at. The creme brulee, kinda roasty, caramel flavor has a really good flavor that works well with the espresso & does not just taste sugary sweet with no flavor. I've been to this Klatch coffee twice now and while the service can be hit or miss, the drinks have been consistent. I get an iced cold brew with sugar free vanilla syrup and their housemade almond cashew milk. It's absolutely delicious and beats so many of the other sugar free coffees that I have tried. On my most recent visit I brought my laptop and did a bit of studying. It was a great environment to work in. The tables were large and it was relatively quiet inside.
