While I've never had a bad bite here, the star of the show is definitely their mac 'n cheese. Their sandwiches, tacos, and Asian-inspired dishes hit home runs as well. The best part is, everything they serve pairs well with any of Farmstrong's delish beers or house-brewed ciders. Most recently, I had their smash burger tacos paired with a La Raza Mexican Lager - oh yeahhhh! We had to ask the waitress to turn on the lights for us, but only a mostly-burned out string of Costco tivoli lights served to illuminate the space. It was very hard to see the balls, or our food. Food? We had a flatbread pizza and Brussels. They were ok. They're probably better at sandwiches...again, we hit 'em where they ain't... So, the "up and down" bit: If you want to sit upstairs, fine, but you must order downstairs. Want to use a restroom? Downstairs. All done and ready to close tab? Downstairs. The bartender (running the place solo, apparently) was gracious and accommodating in bringing us food and refills upstairs, though, and we tipped accordingly. Good service. We've been going there for years. Sadly, they no longer offer ice cream cones (just ice cream in pints and quarts) - they explained to me that they were overwhelmed by people who just wanted ice cream, and that it made it hard to sell fish. The penalty of popularity. If you need fish, whether to consume nearby, or to take home on ice, this is a great place to buy it - conveniently located on route 20, not far from I-5.
