    Tombo Ahi Okonomiyaki
    Lisa T.

Kathryn was our server and she couldn't have been more welcoming or descriptive of the food, she was amazing! The bartender also made a mean dirty gin martini and was friendly as well. We got the calamari to start and it was so delicious and different than we've had! Very lightly battered, so tender and that squid ink sauce was so unique and delicious! My husband had the ribeye and he literally got goosebumps when he tried it. So tender and flavorful, it was amazing! I had the tombo ahi okonomiyaki which was delicious seared tuna, huge shrimp over a Japanese pancake which reminded me of egg foo young. This was so delicious, fresh and well constructed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was actually beautiful and I loved how we could see the chefs cooking along the way! It's very open and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner!

Always great food and service. The clam chowder to order is amazing. It is filled with small clams, bacon and potatoes. The super rich creamy broth is delicious. The valley burger was perfectly cooked tonight as well. Crisp salty fries were perfect. We always enjoy the French Onion soup, but didn't get it tonight. We did have the squid karrage with the squid ink aioli which were hot, sweet and tender. Some bites were a bit salty, still amazing though and one of my favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fast paced atmosphere and the staff is always friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great dinner tonight.

TL;DR: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Phenomenal food, cozy vibes--get the clam chowder![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A'Town Bistro was the unexpected culinary highlight of my two-week Washington trip. I hadn't planned to stop in Anacortes, but I'm so glad I did. Eats: 1. Smoked duck toast: Beautifully presented, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. 2. Clam chowder: Hands down the best I've ever tasted--my mom agreed, and even the table behind us said the same! Atmosphere & Service: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm, cozy, and inviting, with soft lighting, twinkle trees, and a fireplace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was incredibly sweet and welcoming. Worth the detour and then some. 11/10 experience--would come back just for this place!

Awesome place to have lunch, the menu is inspired and the bar has several creative and excellent cocktails. The clams chowder is delicious and presented beautifully. And the burgers are outstanding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has an upscale casual feel and the service is first rate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm looking forward to coming back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Incredible place with the best ambiance open kitchen...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] first time there went for my birthday. We started out with the delicious bread toasted homemade by them and then had the scotch egg. It was so delicious and the slaw that's underneath it was scrumptious. I ordered the paella and it was fabulous. My son ordered the duck and it was gorgeous. The best duck he ever had. We also had a side of potatoes that were so delicious and the ketchup is homemade. I never tasted any ketchup as delicious as that ! fantastic service they made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant very customer service oriented so pleasant. I can't wait to go back.!!! They baked their own bread. Oh, I forgot and for dessert we had bread pudding. It was delicious.! Wonderful craft cocktails too!

Absolutely amazing food and service. The duck toast and lamb burger was delicious. My wife had the 1/2 pound of clams and some wine. She thought that everything was amazing.

Clam chowder was delightful and full of flavor. Has onion, clams, LOTs of bacon pieces. Creamy chowder. Dip your buttery toast into it to get some of the sauce. Good pairing.

    Papas Bravas...amazing

Everything that is good in the culinary world meets here. North, South, East, West...all the best flavors come to meet here. I've never had a better clam chowder in my life. The truffle fries were perfect. They make their own curry ketchup that is perfect with the fries. Their toast plates are definitely worth trying. The papas bravas were the icing on the cake. So good. Service and cleanliness were both on point. No complaints at all. Lunch cost us $125...including drinks, tax, tip. This place is amazing. If you're going to be in AnaCortes for the day...this is the one place you need to eat.

Great spot for a nice meal in downtown Anacortes. Lots of great-looking options for cocktails and mains. I went with the squid in linguine with musses and scallops - everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer a comfortable ambiance and service was attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll be back!

This is THE Place! Service top notch Food amazing Location ideal Jessica makes a mean Fairmont Cocktail! So good I had TWO! I enjoyed the smoked duck toast which was scrumptious and my husband devoured the Valley Burger and Truffle fries! Well worth the wait. Don't walk but RUN to this place and enjoy a tasty meal! Request Jessica - she is the bomb. Very attentive and knows the menu well to help with decisions.

We made early reservations the day before and were seated as they opened. We had peeked at the menu and definitely wanted to try this restaurant that locally sourced as much as possible before we left Anacortes. Service, provided by Kate, was very friendly and prompt. She didn't steer us wrong at all, was knowledgeable not just about the menu but about the food prep and drinks, and made sure we were doing well. Ask for her if you can, she's great. We started with a bookhouse fizz and the no thanks along with the patatas a la brava. I was torn between the moules frites and the nerka king for dinner. Sharon was also looking at the moules frites as well as the short ribs. Every large plate looked like a win. We decided on the nerka king (seared medium rare) and the short ribs. I instantly like any restaurant that asks me how well done I like my salmon. The patatas were a more generous portion than we thought for a traditional tapas dish - just so you know. That said, they were excellent! The house made mozzarella was the perfect accompaniment to the potatoes. The smoky sauces were very flavorful (we suggest mixing them). OMG the short ribs. Wow. They were fantastic. So tender. So flavorful. The salmon, served skin up, was medium rare as ordered - tender pink in the middle. The salmon sausage was exceptionally good and unexpected - very savory (fennel, maybe?). Everything was so great, we had to stop ourselves from overeating. Then Kate brought the dessert menu... Chocolate tahini ice cream?!? I know, sounds odd, but I've had chocolate tahini brownies and stand by the combination. We decided to split a cannoli dessert and call it good. And they were. If you're anywhere near Anacortes, do yourself a favor and make reservations!

Food is amazing, well thought out and delicious. We had Chowder and Kansas Toast. Both were flavorful and fresh.

One of my favorite spots to eat in Anacortes (to be fair I haven't been to a lot of places in…read moreAnacortes). It's a restaurant located in town, so can park on the street. Wasn't busy for brunch afternoon on Friday. It's got chill, friendly coastal vibes and is an easy ten minute post-meal walk to Q'elech'ilhch Park. -5/5 Crab Cakes - why are crab cakes so small ToT I wish I had more -5/5 Steamers (clams) - delicious sauce, goes well with the bread. A little bit of sand in some clams, but not a big issue when eating. -4.5/5 Poblano Grits and Shrimp - only rated slightly lower because I'm comparing it to the delicious crab cakes and clams. This dish really rounded out our meal and helped it feel more filling. -5/5 Bread - normally I would not note the complimentary bread, but this was really soft and delicious. I took some home to eat on the side. Also a good spot if you happen to be near the area for the Skagit Tulip Festival.

Very good food, but not good enough to be 5 stars. Ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms, which was really really good, but they literally gave me about a spoonful. It came in a soup cup and it barely covered the bottom of it, which is ridiculous for the $5 upcharge. As with everyone else, I do highly recommend the crab cakes. It's excellent.
