The orange beef arrived and was so and tasteless. We were unable to eat it. The noodles were ok. The noodles at least had some flavor.

Changed ownership...... here's some recent feedback I don't know what happened, the ownership of Kitty's kitchen just changed. Before when it first opened, it was run by Taishan people who spoke Cantonese. They made authentic food and were super friendly and kind. My favorite dish used to be the fried chicken wings and their sweet & sour Thai noodles.... Upon ordering today, we realized the ownership changed after we realized they didn't speak Cantonese and didn't know which dishes we were talking about. We still ordered in hopes the recipes and food would be the same but much to our disappointment, the food is completely different :( Sometimes change is good, but in this case.. I'd argue against it. The chicken was just ok in flavor and dry and the soup is bland. The rice was super oily as well..... To give perspective, the chicken is wings but the inside meat is like breast meat... We're super disappointed as this was our favorite place and was something we would always look forward to eating... we're going to end up tossing the old menu on our fridge :( Hopefully they'll reach out to the old owners and ask for some of their recipes. I would say this place is a good value for a generous portion. The ambiance is that of a small hole in the wall family run local businesses that has been in operation for years. Things are older and upgrades haven't been made in quite some time. The decorations on shades were peeling but it should be expected from a more established local family business. This is not a fancy place to go in a date but a good traditional authentic food restaurant. The food was reasonably priced with generous portions so all in all it was a good value. Two combination meals with two entrees, Cho's main and fried rice each with two ice waters totaled $28 and some change. Service was personable and friendly. I did have to ask for my water refill but they were handling a lot of to go orders too! Lots of parking. I would say four and a half stars but can't give half stars on Yelp so it's a four. This is a local gem that is frequented by the locals. We will be back when we want Chinese food again and we recommend you give it a try. Check out my photos too!

I was Rolling around Manteca and I saw Kitty's Kitchen !!!! Kitty's Kitchen is Located in a Strip Mall . They are a Family Owned Restaurant that has been in business over 13 years!!! So I rolled to Kitty's Kitchen !!! I parked in the Strip Mall parking lot!!! Then I strolled in to Kitty's and Grabbed a Table and a Menu!!! I perused the Menu and Ordered a Large Wonton Soup and a Combination Plate Consisting of. Chow Mein , Fried Rice , Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork!!! My Combination Plate came out first!!! The Portions were Generous and Very Tasty!!! Out Next was my Wonton Soup!!! It was Tasty and Flavorful also.. Service is Friendly and Efficient!!! I am always on a hunt for a good Chinese food and this one topped my list. I found this place through my husband when he decided that one day he'll try this place because he saw the picture of their orange chicken and was easily enticed. This place is small with both table and booth seating. I came here during lunchtime and it can get busy. Though it can be that, the food always come out on time and steaming. That day we ordered Ala Cart. Their orange chicken of course, salt and pepper fish, garlic green bean and house fried rice. All of our orders came out on time and I like that their servings were bountiful. Orange chicken was battered lightly that you still get the chicken it's coated with, It was fried nicely and the sauce it's smothered in was tangy, sweet and not on a too spicy side (which my husband loved). Salt and Pepper fish also has a light batter that was not oily. It also has a light salt and pepper seasoning that is not salty that it overwhelm my taste buds. I can't say the same with the green beans though. Although some of them has that snap with every bite, some of them was mushy and tasted off like it was yesterdays leftovers mixed in with the fresh one of the day. It really threw my mouth on a spin on how it tasted weird and bleh! The fried rice paired perfectly with all the dishes we ordered that day. It was very filling and filled with mixed veggies, shrimp, and bbq pork. These orders were shared between 3 people and still had leftovers to bring home for some eatin later. Their prices were reasonable and service was prompt, friendly and pleasant. We have been back here twice now and slowly trying other dishes they have to offer. Definitely a must try and their Orange chicken is what called to us to this place.

The worse Chinese food I have ever tasted!!

Kitty's has gone down hill with these new owners!!! Worse tasting food!! Highly disappointed I would rather eat Panda! Great customer service but you guys need new chefs!

We decided to try this place in Manteca and it didn't disappoint. The flavors were very good and the portions are perfect for small families/couples. My boyfriend enjoyed their salt and pepper chicken, they were crispy and full of flavor. He would have loved if they added jalapeños for an extra kick! I love their chicken fried rice, it's probably the best chicken fried rice here in Manteca. Good food and friendly service, can't wait to try more items. 8.5

Disgusting sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken

Literally my first time eating here and will be my last. It was disgusting. In pictures the orange chicken looked good. It was unflattering and chewy. Even panda noodles are better. The egg rolls were also disgusting. Couldn't even eat it. Feel like a wasted 45$

We love to come here, especially for the soup. You get a really nice portion and the flavor is delicious. Kitty and her husband are very nice and welcoming. It's nice to go to a place where they remember you and even good at remembering what you order. read more

This is my favorite Chinese Food restaurant! Not only is the food cooked to order and always fresh, Kitty and her family are wonderful people!! The salt and pepper pork chops is one of our many favorites due to the pork chops not full of fat and never greasy. The garlic fried rice is another favorite and believe it or not, the cheese burger and fries is delicious as well. Don't take my word for it, go in and try their food for yourself. Definitely the BEST Chinese food in town. Others make coagulated corn starch sauces. Kittys dishes are fresh, flavorful and you don't pay for a plate of sauce. Prices are fair and this family owned biz is committed to quality. read more

Disgusting food I hated everything. The portion size is good but the wings that I got smelled funky like it was bad chicken. Also I noticed that the kitchen was disgusting and very dirty. I even ended up throwing most of the food away because it didn't taste right. Do not recommend this place I am not sure why it's almost five stars. To top it off, the service was pretty bad overall they were not friendly at all. Will not come to this place again. read more

The food was hot ! Season for non Asian more for American taste . The family was very nice ! I would eat there again. The fried rice and other dishes had plenty of meat ! And I ordered safe dishes because I never ate there before . Next time i go I will order different foods . My daughter in law is from Taiwan and she gives it a 4 also best in Manteca! read more

Food was absolutely terrific and very inexpensive. This was my first time ever coming here and I was not expecting the food to be as good as it was. First time here and I will be going back. Prices are good. You get lots of freshly cooked food. Had the combo with Mongolian chicken broccoli beef chow main fried rice with a side of sweet and sour chicken. Enough for several meals. Freshly cooked and great tasting. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Manteca! Their lunch menu is a constellation of dishes to satisfy every craving and the prices are cheaper than McDonald's. Each meal is made fresh and hasn't been sitting under heat lamps for hours (like Panda Express)! The Lemon Chicken is FANTASTIC. Each bite of breast meat is tender, juicy and delicious and in my order sat next to an enormous pile of bouncy flavorful chow mein and crisp hot vegetables. In order to get to the restroom you must walk by the kitchen which you can see is tidy and most importantly CLEAN!!! All this and terrific service! read more

Vegan options!! They have a lot of vegan options and they're DELICIOUS. My husband and I ordered vegetable fried rice (no egg), curry tofu, and Kung pao tofu. It all was AMAZING. I think our favorite was the Kung Pao tofu. The prices are great! The staff is nice. The amount of food you get is amazing. We ordered those 3 things and we have enough for a small lunch and dinner tomorrow as well. It's great and we can't wait to go back and try more of the vegan options! read more

Very disappointed!!!! I wonder if the other ratings of 4&5 stars must be people that never had Excellent Chinese food in the Bay Area. I ordered hot and sour soup which was way too thick and Mongolian beef with a big taste of sugar. I definitely will never return. I will make that 20 minute drive to Tracy for Mandarin Villa. Much more tastier and a clean place to go. read more

Great salt and pepper beef ask for Mongolian beef extra spicey to dip it in!!!! Mushu Chicken is awesome. Mini pot stickers are perfect. General chicken extra spicey is full of flavor. If your looking for some saucy food that fills you up this is the place. It's more comfort food kinda heavy great in winter kinda food. read more

I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

As expected when I got home it was soggy. But it was already as soggy as possible to begin with. Why is this place a 4/5 I have no idea. Maybe since I came during off peak hours so they foods just sitting around and there's no fresh food turnover? No idea. Maybe I'll give them another chance one day but who knows. Also factor in that they don't have rice plates and the cost of pure entrees alone and that's a negative for me. I didn't know how lacking Chinese food was in Manteca because I was spoiled by the old Kitty's Kitchen. Nothing compares in the area.

This is a proper Chinese restaurant, they start you off with a soup of some kind, this time they had a hot and sour soup for starters before your meal. I went for the beef stew chow fun wet. One of these days I will need to try their dry version. This will be a good stand by Chinese restaurant, their menu items are not that extensive but I wished they have bitter melon but most people are not apt to order it. It's too bad because I love this vegetable.

Also, got a peek in the kitchen and the cooks looked authentic and Thai? That's why it's so yummy! lol.

Love Kitty's! Their food is really tasty and always fresh! One time we placed a phone order, stopped by Target and when I got back to my car it wouldn't start. I called and apologized, letting them know I'd be in as soon as I could get my car taken care of and catch a ride down there. Probably an hour or more later I arrived and they insisited on remaking my food so it was hot and fresh. And she threw in an extra order of wontons since I was having a bad day. If in Manteca and are looking for Great Chinese Food then Kitt'ys Kitchen is the place to go. You will also experience a friendly greeting and atmosphere (very important to me). I live in Tracy and worked in the bay area for a Chinese owned business so I have eaten at a few Chinese restaurants and with all considered this is the best. This is a family lunch and dinner restaurant not a San Francisco $20/plate----$12/glass of wine, coat and tie only "gotcha restaurant". This is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had. I am a huge fan of Kitty's Kitchen! Kitty has taken time to understand gluten allergies, (a huge issue for Chinese food fans like my entire household) Kitty has gluten free options, and can make most dishes gluten free. Kitty's Kitchen is the only place in Manteca that I will eat Chinese at! Her food is always fresh, and she always asks me about my mother in law who orders from here too! I love the fact that they don't use MSG (there are signs posted that say this inside) since I get sick from MSG! It is an establishment that is family friendly and has great home cooked food.
