They were cleaning in and out the whole time I was there.

This was my first visit to Chubby's Diner in Manteca, as my car was being worked on at a local dealership and I needed to kill some time. I planned ahead, skipping breakfast at home in Modesto in anticipation of eating in Manteca. I ordered the W. Louise Ave Tacos. (Named after a nearby street). I was not disappointed. Let me back up, the seating was prompt, the service also, the cleanliness good, and the staff friendly. I have to go a 4/5 on just one visit. My only observation is that this classic (if over decorated) Fifties diner plays the music a bit loud were I trying to have a conversation. Loved the selections tho... Still, I enjoyed the decor and think that this would play well with folks who love the Fifties era. I suspect I will bring my wife here some time soon.

    My receipt.

Food was ok, sandwiches little sloppy. Bread was slightly on tough side. Customer service was excellent. Price was outrageous. Never paid $25. For a chicken sandwich. Might as go to McDonald's. No wonder the restaurant was empty. There were 2 other couples only. Just a highway robbery.

I thought I already left a review the last time I was here some time ago. I had found this diner while yelping around the area. The photos alone had me interested in coming by. I didn't have the Ube latte in mind at the time we visited but it was a special that was posted on their menu and their larger menu by the entrance which made me like to try it. I definitely would suggest this place as a day date place and small celebrations. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Didn't see any issues with food or anything but positive vibes They do tend to have different items the times I've came by making me want to revisit and try the next new item The Mexican Hot Chocolate was delicious and I loved how it was presented, made it taste more delicious than expected I for sure will be returning and hopefully that new option is still available. I just didn't have the sweet tooth for more sweets than the hot chocolate at the time and opt for a meat selection and soup PS I'm coming back to try the Ube French toast

This place was pretty cool. The chilaquiles were really flavorful, the only thing missing was beans. Everything else was good too. Would come back

10.50 for this kids cereal LOL!

Cereal is way overpriced in the kids menu. $10.50 for a small bowl. Looks are deceiving on the menu, they make it look like a certain way and you expect a different outcome. Waiter didn't give any heads up on the menu. And then when came asking her about the cereal situation, she didn't even care and didn't try to fix the situation. They just take your money and don't give a crap. Never coming back, no wonder it's a 3 star. CRAPPY service and my fish & chips were dry .

Came here for breakfast recently for the first time with my sister and niece. Food was great, staff was amazing, and the decor was so cute. Would definitely come here again

Came here again because we were hungry and it has good portion of meal. Service is fast and friendly. Interior is like 70's era. A typical diner. I would definitely come back again. You should try it.

This is the spot for some good breakfast The service is in point- the ambiance is superb... look on the floor to see the stars for walk of fame The eggs Benedict's are always runny, the hue is rancheros are so good, crunchy , chorizo is spicy ... not butt burning spicy but good spicy that makes you suck air to make sure you stay alive Alfonso has a great crew ... we had the pleasure of being attended by Natalie and Suzie - I'm sure others are Good - Let's not forget the unsung heroes .... The kitchen staff who makes magic and sorcery to bring out some good stuff .... Like Angelina in jersey shore says " uh hello!!!" Go there and eat some good breakfast

First time. Food was good but entirely too pricey. $44.00 for 2 and nothing special was ordered. People were nice.

My mother in law loved the oldies that were playing in the restaurant, she was dancing in her seat. We met the owner Frank who was super nice. Our waitress was very nice and attentive too and the service was fast. We might make this a yearly tradition to eat here on her birthday, since we live out of town and she lives here. I'm not sure how busy it gets on weekends. The coffee is always fresh, and the menu has all the classic café breakfast options you'd expect. My favorite is the chorizo omelette with a side of strawberries. The omelette is flavorful without being greasy, and the strawberries are always fresh and delicious. The toast is decent, though I think trying a different bread brand could make it even better. The servers are consistently friendly and attentive. Orders come out quickly, and coffee refills are always topped off without having to ask. Overall, Frank's is a great spot for breakfast and definitely worth checking out.

I ordered a plate of crispy hashbrowns topped with tender pulled pork, smothered in rich, creamy gravy, and sprinkled with fresh jalapeños for a perfect kick. It was comforting without being heavy, like a warm hug you didn't know you needed. But the best part? They had fun flavored mimosas that made brunch feel like a celebration. We tried a few different flavors, and each one was bright, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the savory food. (Rachel Green would approve.) The staff was friendly, kept the coffee refills coming, and made us feel welcome without hovering. The prices were fair, and the portions were generous enough to leave you full but not overly stuffed. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, good vibes, and a reason to say "How you doin'?" to your mimosa, this is it. Can't wait to come back and bring friends for a brunch round two.

Service- the staff were nice, but they were slow. Granted, there was a large table ahead of us, so +1 for that Food- I ordered the kalua pork and rice. The kalua pork was probably reheated on the griddle, kind of salty, it was meh. The biggest disappointment was the rice. It was hard. For a "Hawaiian" restaurant to not know how to cook rice is sad. This place has potential. I don't know if they are tired or don't have that spark. Maybe they need a new location. The park across the street has a bunch of unhoused folks.

Aaliyah greeted us as soon as we walked in and directed us towards our table. Coincidentally, she was also our server. It was like we knew her for years. Aaliyah was friendly and attentive. We started with the mimosa flights. We couldn't decide on flavors, however, Aaliyah picked a variety of flavors for us, so we were covered. The food came out hot! I had the meat lover skillet with eggs over-easy. The eggs were cooked perfect. The warm yolk added to the flavorful meat and smothered potatoes. René had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and tender. Next time we'll ask for a side of sauce because it's so good that we needed more than provided, at least for us. One thing we noticed was that every customer was happy. Maybe the other customers were regulars there but this was our first time and we were treated like we were regulars. I think it just says something about the attention to customer service. Toward the end of our visit, "B" one of Sheila's daughters, came out to check on us. Again, it was like talking to a long time friend. Well, it turns out Sheila B'Z is a family business - - everyone working was family, including those working the food truck at an event today.
