Absolutely amazing experience. Got to know them from Instagram. Food first; ordered a three meat plate with pork ribs, turkey breast and chicken. Ribs are great; comes off the bone easy and nice peppery crust but taste best with sauce. Both turkey breast and chicken have a great peppery cover on them. It's very hard to nail turkey breast but these guys hit it out of the park. Chicken breast was soft, moist and not burnt at all, skin had great char. For sides I got mac and cheese and candy yams. It was my first time eating candy yams and i think I may have spoiled myslef because now I've set the bar a little too high. Mac and cheese is epic. Concluding on food, everything was delicious but what really stole the show and i think I'm doing a disservice to the meat by saying this CORNBREAD. moist, spongy; almost like a cake. The owner took the order, service was fast and very polite. There was line even though i arrived prior to them opening but did not feel rushed at the counter, took my time, asked the questions and got answers. Food came out pretty quick and server was wearing gloves, very neatly packed and politely handed over. The one low star is for the ambience, there really is no place to sit so you've to eat in the car but there is no place to park either. So finding parking is hard and then gotta eat up and go. Will definitely come back and it's top 10 foods I've had in my life. My plate would've been $45 and taxes but it was my lucky day, they were running a special where they did three meat plate for $30 and two sides. Made my afternoon !!!! Definitely need a nap after this meal. Very filling.

Best BBQ spot ive been to in a while. i got the 2 Meat Little Hungry Platter w Pork Ribs and Brisket. The meat were so tender with so much flavor and dont get me started with their mac and cheese...because that has to be one of the best ones ive had in forever. Flavor was so on point !!! Sooo coming back !!! Also customer service was A1 !!

We came to the grand opening and because many folks had eaten from the truck locations, the reputation had the lines loooong! It was well worth the wait though, I'm sayin' So we had smoked turkey, smoked sausage, Mac and cheese, fried chicken wings and (yum) some scrumptious and huge fried chicken breasts whose crunch was "slap yo momma" good! Just kidding, not tryna die:) I had intended to take pics of my plate but I was so hungry and the food was soooo good, I couldn't do it! Take my word for it. You won't be sorry after eating here!

When I tell yall best barbecue in Compton I MEAN IT !! Their advertisement on Instagram got me there and I so happy it did . Shout out to the guy when I went that told me about the special they were having . They always have specials through the week. Mac n cheese and potato salad were so flavorful. Link was hot fresh off the grill . Brisket had so much flavor my only issue was it not being hot it's was warm for sure . It was so good I didn't wait to go home and eat it I ate it in the car. But if you're patient warming in up at the crib will do you justice . Other then that it's was TOP NOTCH . And we love and support black owned businesses!!!

Made the drive from Venice today and absolutely loved what they're doing with this side of the road operation. Arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday and there were 4-5 people ahead of us, but the line moved fast. Good thing we arrived when we did because the line started growing quite a bit while we were there. The pork ribs, brisket and chicken we ordered were cooked to absolute perfection. Super tasty bark without being overly salty. The BBQ sauce is super unique with an almost honey-glaze consistency, and our mac & cheese and collard greens were absolutely delicious. There are also some cool stands around it selling super crazy lemonades and homemade baked goods. Everyone running the various tents were so friendly. Worth the visit. We will be back.

    Hungry Man 3 Meat Platter

Came here this past Sunday. There's only street parking. We ordered Hungry's Man 3 Meat Platter. We got Brisket, Pork Ribs, Beef Links and a side of Turkey Leg. This platter includes 2 sides. We got Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese. IMO, it was a little bland. I like the way it was seasoned but I felt it just was lacking a bit of flavor. All 3 meats were a bit dry. But I'm glad they didn't try to marinade everything sweet like other bbq places. The sides were good!!! I enjoyed the Mac and cheese! The sauces were good as well! I didn't ask, but I wondered if they have a spicy choice? Either way, the sauce is good and tasty. Overall, it's def not bad at all. I just think I'm looking for a tad more flavoring and for my food to come out warm for Bbq food. I would def try this spot again.

The 3 for $30: Brisket, Rib, Link with 2 sides: Mac and Cheese, Collard Greens and a sweet roll.

As a big foodie and Yelp Elite, I love supporting up-and-coming food trucks and small businesses, especially Black-owned spots that are getting buzz on social media. Kitchen's Corner BBQ has definitely been one of those Instagram-famous trucks that content creators have been hyping up, so of course, I had to pull up and see if it lived up to the hype. First, let me paint the picture: it's literally a BBQ pit set up in the back of a food truck with a white tent in front of the city library. Heads up -- do not park in the library lot unless you're actually going inside because the signs are clear and they do ticket/tow. Next to the truck, there was also a seasoned lady selling desserts and cold drinks (not sure if she's part of the business but it felt like a collab). When I ordered, I asked about the "3 for $30" special I saw on Instagram. The young man taking orders confirmed it was available, so I went with brisket, ribs, and a hot link, plus mac & cheese and collard greens for my sides. Here's my breakdown: * The Meat: Tender? Absolutely -- it melted in my mouth, and I'll give that a 10/10. But temperature and flavor? That's where I was a little let down. The brisket and ribs were just warm, not piping hot like I prefer, and the seasoning felt very heavy on black pepper. It seemed like the meat was waiting around for the next order, so the BBQ sauce carried most of the flavor. The sauce itself had a nice kick, but I personally like when the seasoning and smoke speak for themselves. For me, the meat was a 5/10 in flavor, but still cooked well. * The Sides: The mac & cheese and collard greens were the stars of my plate. They came out hot (how I like it!) and flavorful. No complaints at all -- these sides hit the mark. * The Vibe: It's a true street-food setup -- casual, simple, with content creators literally right there filming themselves hyping up their plates. I even saw one guy setting his food bag on the concrete floor while slurping up his greens on camera, calling it all a "10/10." That's when I knew I had to keep it real with my Yelp fam. Overall, I wouldn't say Kitchen's Corner BBQ is bad -- it's just not the life-changing BBQ that social media makes it out to be. It was good but not great, and for the price point, I think some people might walk away expecting more based on the hype. Still, the tenderness of the meat and those sides definitely deserve love, and I respect the hustle of Black-owned food trucks making their mark in LA's competitive food scene. Would I come back? Maybe, especially to try more of the sides and see if the meat hits differently on a busier day. But I want to be real with my review so folks know what to expect -- no exaggeration, just the truth of my experience. Look out for my next foodie adventure!

    Menu and prices

Great ribs, very good chicken ,even the turkey-- but the brisket is the best. There is always a line so get there early. The sides are very good also. I am a happy repeat customer.

Brisket, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, and Sweet Potato Cornbread!

Everything was great. You get a lot of food and the prices are great. It was served very neat and appetizing, The staff were very nice. I would definitely return. Also we got there before they opened so we beat the long line. I also love that they take Apple Pay which is so convenient. The truck was nice, clean, and the area was clean which is very important. Keep doing a great job!

...I'm at a loss for words by how horrible this was. I don't normally write reviews but I had to make an exception for this place. I'll try to be concise. This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

Beef rib from the Try Man combo

First off very clean and inviting truck with a lady selling home made beverages like lavender or strawberry lemonade and cakes and desserts. When we stood in line trying to look at the menu a man working the truck called us over and welcomed us to try some of their bbq. Man oh man my kids are your typical picky eaters but not today. I couldn't decide so I decided to try a bit of everything with THE TRY MAN combo. My sons and I both thought everything was soooo bomb. Great smokey black pepper flavor. If you like a rich sweet brown sugar bbq sauce they got you covered. I tried the meat with and without the sauce NEITHER disappointed. I saw them on Instagram and normally I don't go find a place I see on social media but I'm glad I did and we will for sure be back. I would gladly pay the money for the TRY MAN combo again. Came with beef rib, brisket, spare ribs, chicken, hot link, I think chicken sausage, rolls and two sides. Just a heads up I originally asked for their Mac and cheese and some mashed potatoes but since they ran out I opted for the collard greens. Holy smokes! I've tried some before, but these sealed the deal for me that I do enjoy collard greens, well at least from Kitchens Corner BBQ

    Cute sign

Maybe the truck is better because my plate didn't look anything like these pictures? The seasons on the meat, the sauce and sides except the sweet potato cornbread was good. Service is a 1 star best. Personally I think Bludso's and Badlands is way better! Sorry but NOT sorry!
