I went to kitchen corners over the weekend to get barbecue. Everybody said it was so good. I tell you. It did not meet my expectation the meat was Tough. I don't think I would buy anything else from there barbecue. Maybe other people enjoy it, but I didn't enjoy it. It was just medpoker. It's not something I would recommend anyone to go to. That's my opinion i've had better barbecue that was not tough. You can't always listen to Everybody. You have to do your research on your own cause. Kitchens Corner BBQ is a gem in an area that is dominated by a dozen other food trucks/ stalls. First time visit today and the line was long. Do Not be scared of this long line! The person who takes your orders is quick, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and cheerful. Line moved quick and my order was out in a few minutes after. The food itself is phenomenal. Compared to other BBQ places, the prices here are much more affordable but the quality is not compromised. I got the Hungry Man special. Comes with three meats, two sides, two Hawaiian rolls and the right amount of bbq sauce. The brisket was flavorful and had a great consistency. The turkey was delicious and the meat sausage was tasty. Mac and cheese was great and the beans which I'm usually not a fan of in general were really good at Kitchens Corner. I've been wanting to try this food for a while, it was terrible I'm so disappointed. I got the meat hungry man plate with 2 sides. My meat choices was ribs, brisket and turkey with greens and yams. The brisket look old and is extremely dry. The ribs don't have any meat on them and they're old and dry the turkey was descent. The greens was good and the yams taste different with alot if oil. Went today and ordered the try guy, food was cold which was really bad because my brother paid 102 for everything. Sausage was cold chicken was cold and looked super pink, brisket was cold. I'm a big texture person and the potato salad was grainy which was really unsettling. Honestly I ate at 1230 and I'm still burping up the mac and cheese. Really hope I don't get sick. There's a place or two in the Los Angeles area that I would deem as having the best bbq pitmasters, but unfortunately their prices are so outrageous that it's actually worth the trip to Compton to patronize Kitchen's Corner BBQ. For some very nice prices, you can feed two people quality BBQ for less than $35. You can feed a family of four for less than $80 if you order cleverly. The best things about this mobile BBQ business are the people and the cooking! The business owner and co-workers are very pleasant (no attitudes here), even giving people free water as they wait in line. Oh, and you will wait in line. In fact, some regular customers know to bring lawn chairs or to wear sun protective gear on the sunny days. I promise, however, that the wait is worth it. Brisket, sausage, ribs, chicken, and turkey, the meats are forces to be reckoned with -- the sides are good too, but not the sole reason to go to be honest. Sides include Mac n cheese, potato salad, greens, and beans. It will feel like a picnic as your greeted with upbeat personalities and old school music. First, they open Thursday-Sunday at 1pm. I advise to get there at 12:15-12:30. Second Customer Service was amazing they handed out water to customers as we waited our turn and at the San time offered professionalism at its finest. Atmosphere outside its a food truck. BUT! Honest opinion... this spot is a hit or miss. Sometimes I'm pretty disappointed of the inconsistency of the food in general. I now have concluded to ONLY pulling up when they got the brisket specials. Or no line specials... Can't beat 1/2 pound of brisket and a large side for 15$ .Sides all need work. read more

Pricey. The meat is what you are going for. its really really good. Exceptional. The sides need work. just becuase your Mac and cheese has a lot of cheese does not make it good. its too dry not creamy enough. Why make the potato salad so different? being innovative is a good thing when it works. not so good when it doesn't. The flavor is so off putting and off. There is an overuse of a spice I just don't like and don't expect in a potato salad. Stick to what people recognize. Then do it great and you will be 5 stars The sides were disappointing. The truck is clean, large glass windows, beautiful. Don't waste all that money on a truck and then make sides horrible. Potato salad has , relish, red onion, Mayo mustard, salt, pepper, hell even throw some celery in there, But whatever you are doing IS NOT WORKING. read more

Listen I've lived in LA all my life. Where has this place been?! I had brisket, ribs, mac n cheese, baked beans and greens! Like everything tasted so good, and that's so rare. Brisket was flavorful and juicy. Ribs were falling off the bone, none of the meat was dry! All the sides were perfect! And the staff was friendly, they didn't have attitudes when you asked questions! Hello! I really enjoy BBQ and its perks and the only place I can think of bbq is Kitchens Corner BBQ. The customer service is great , I love the energy that they give but the only problem I have with them will be on the meat selection. Where I wish I could ask for double brisket or double bbq when I order a two meat tray but it is prohibited to be order double meat on any ORDER. This is the only thing I do not like AT ALL. I order a three meat tray and I have bad stomach acid reflexes with Chicken and I ask for double brisket and they refused to give me double brisket which I personally felt like I was forced to get a choice that I did not what to get at all. Hopefully they are able to fix that problem because they look like a successful food truck business which I do not see a problem of them giving double meat on any order . Personally I feel like the pricing is justifiable to be giving out double on any choice of MEAT . PLEASE FIX THAT PROBLEM. read more

So I went to kitchens corner yesterday had a pretty cool experience I drove all the way from Barstow California number one I want to say that I think that overall the food was pretty delicious I really didn't care for the greens they kind of had a bitter taste to me the brisket was fire I just feel like it was cut entirely too thick the seasoning was super on point I'm the mac and cheese was delicious I'm in the baked beans were delicious and so was the barbecue sauce I probably have one critique I think that the owner should be a little more friendly maybe greetest gas a little more his customers and maybe open on time I was there early number one in line the first person there and they didn't open till 1:30 maybe the owner actually left I don't know what that was about but anyway overall I had a pretty decent time so I'm going to rate it I would rated a seven and only a seven because of the owners kind of lack of attention to his customers and they also didn't have anything to drink they had Kool-Aid on the list but there was no Kool-Aid so I had to buy it from another girl sitting at another stand maybe they were in kahoots together I have no idea but anyway overall I give it a seven like I said I think that the food was pretty good just the service and him leaving and not opening on time was a little irritating but other than that I think that it was awesome but black folks we got to do better open up on time please anyway go try kitchens corner it was delicious thanks read more

i thought it was horrible. the dino rib was small. i would just call it a bigger than normal beef rib. the brisket was real fatty, it was trimmed enough. the chicken they gave half, i would have liked to pick my choice, other than aleg and thigh. i wanted the beef sausage, he recommended the chicken. big mistake, threw it away. the yams where about a 3. the mac and cheese. was cheesy, yet to savory. i would npt go there again if you paid me. read more
