I've eaten here twice. The first time I got one of the specialty burgers. Comes on a pretzel roll, had an egg and bacon - it was awesome. The fries were good too. We have been to Kitchen 67 quite a few times over the past few months and everything has been wonderful until tonight when 10 members of my family went to celebrate my grandson's 16th birthday. I realize it can be difficult to get everything right when there is a large group and I'm fine with corrections having to be made; however, there is a right way and a wrong way to make those corrections. A bacon cheeseburger was made incorrectly and when it was replaced, it was missing the bacon. By the time it arrived, the french fries that accompanied the first sandwich were ice cold. Another sandwich was sent back because it it was loaded with a sauce, even though it had been ordered without it. First we had to convince the server that the sandwich was not prepared the way it was ordered. It was finally brought to the cook who replaced the slice of cheese, scraped some of the sauce off and flipped the bun over so it wouldn't be as noticeable. As I've said, we have been there numerous times, but I'm not convinced we'll go back. read more

We stopped for brunch one Sunday afternoon, armed with my 2 picky children and my groupon. Seated quickly at a booth and the first thing I noticed was how much STUFF was already on the table. Between the iPad, the seasonings, a random bottle of unopened wine and other things the table was kind of crowded before we even had our drinks much less food. The I pad is in my opinion unnecessary. The backside of ours was downright filthy) To start I ordered the brunch $1.50 Mimosa special and my husband went for the Bloody Mary with a skewer of chicken and waffles. Mine came out right away while his took much longer. The skewer was basically for wow factor but my husband said the drink itself was good. I wanted to follow up with autumn cooler that was on the menu but was disappointed to learn that it wasn't being served yet. We ordered the Gouda queso blanco to start. It was ok. Honestly I couldn't tell any difference between regular ole queso and this so the Gouda flavor isn't really there. The chips were warm and seasoned. The kids split the garlic cheddar flatbread. Neither one liked it. The cheese was so greasy you could pull it right off the bread . I had the famous bird in had sandwich, which was also on the greasy side and had been over cooked a little making some of the batter and chicken inedible. My husband really enjoyed his Bacon Guinness Glazed steak. His grilled veggies were well cooked. Since we had the groupon we sprang for the elephant ear dessert, the kids loved them but I was still swimming in grease from my sandwich. Our service was very good, attentive and friendly. read more

Kitchen 67 has become a semi-regular stop for us. Josh, the manager, is a hustler who get things done and always has a smile. Service is generally pretty fast and our food is always consistent and good. The holidays have them extra busy and last night everyone was working extra hard. The wait was a bit longer than normal both for a table and our food, but it was no problem. One negative thing we comment on EVERY time we are there is the weird dishes and silverware: the salad bowls are impossible to eat out of without making a mess and the forks are so cheap you can hardly poke them into your steak or salad. read more

I was impressed! For a sandwich under $10 ($9.99) it's quite good. Batter is just buttery enough and very crispy. There is a good balance of beer in the batter and the sauce on the sandwich, one does not overwhelm the other. If I had to be critical I'd say it wasn't quite spicy enough for my liking, a bit more smoked paprika in the batter would be nice. However as it is a chicken sandwich and caters to kids as well, I agree with the way it's served. It's not the best sandwich I've ever had, but ask me where to get the best Chicken Sandwich in Grand Rapids? I'd have to say Kitchen 67. 4 stars from me. read more

This was the very first restaurant I ate at when I moved to Grand Rapids. I come here at least once a month for a burger and every time the experience nothing short of great. Today, I stopped here for lunch with my girlfriend. She had a drink with a salad and I ordered the Bird In Hand Chicken Sandwich, my other favorite is their Bacon Cheddar Pretzel Burger. We had Amy as our waitress and she did a wonderful job servicing us. She made sure to top off our drinks and although we didn't have any needs, she continued to check in with us throughout our visit. A manager also checked in with us about our experience which I enjoy seeing each time I come here. The only negative thing that happened was my girlfriend's feet were uncomfortable through her heels because we were sitting in their leather chairs which sit lower to the ground. However, it's on us because we opted for that seating over a table. read more

I had a rough night with my grill order that wasn't resolved at the store level. But that is the lesser part of the story. Johnny Brann is phenomenal. When I reached out to him with my concerns, he replied to a late message with an email from his personal account relating his concern about my experience. I initially felt as though store management did not care about my experience, however Johnny overwhelmingly convinced me that he does, even stating that he doesn't 'sleep well' when he learns someone has had a bad experience. Johnny then sent a personal card via mail again sharing these sentiments. In sharp contrast to my prior experience at the store level, this man genuinely and sincerely cares about every customer which makes this a safe bet for any and every experience you could have at a Brann's location. We placed an online order that said it would be ready at 7:10pm. We arrived on time and my boyfriend went in to get our food. Here I am still sitting in the car at 7:38 and he has texted me to say that when he paid our order was still AT THE BOTTOM of a stack of online orders. It hadn't even been prepared yet!! I can't believe that a restaurant would quote 30 minutes to have an order ready and after that 30 minutes has lapsed, the order hasn't even been placed yet. It's pricey for what it is and our server couldn't remember a single item (brought food and drinks out to the wrong people every single time). She was nice, but not quite fully focused on service. This is my favorite place to take family and friends when they come from out of town. That's not to say it's fine dining or anything, but there is a variety if food, and it's all delicious. Take a look at their specials online because there are some fantastic ones. It's weird that there's a glass door to the Verizon next door, but I won't fault them for that. We gave up on ordering their burgers and steaks. They offer temperature, however 100% of the time it will be cooked well done. One waitress actually told us "it may look well done, but it eats like a mid-rare." Unbelievable statement. The turkey sandwich is what really drove me to this review. It came with minimal mayo and two cored tomato tops. It's a simple sandwich that should at least be decent at it's worst. I had to box it and bring it home to "Doctor" it up with actual tomato slices and more mayo. Do not let two tomato tops on one sandwich get the pass again. read more

This restaurant really knows what they are doing! Every time we have ordered to be delivered it is SO GOOD! The quality of the food is amazing and that is quite refreshing to experience. These days we have noticed food quality in many restaurants has gone down. Not only does the food taste great, the presentation is always on point and they have so many yummy items to choose from! Our favorites are Bird in Hand, guacamole and Quesadillas although seriously everything is so yummy! On a scale of 1-5 we give it a 10! Keep up the good work guys! read more
