We came here for the first time and enjoyed our meal. The menu has a wide array of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and drinks. They are great about customizations to your order. This restaurant is great for families and you can easily let the kids enjoy the playground while waiting for food to come. There are high chairs and kids menus. Service is quick/attentive although I will say we missed the happy hour specials since our waitress didn't come back to take our order prior to the 5:30 cut off which was a bummer. We will be back to enjoy more summer meals. read more

My kids and I have been here about a dozen times and we've been with friends a few more times. We all agree that this location serves about the best burgers in the GR area. The sandwiches are very generously portioned and my wife (who isn't much of a burger person) loves the salads and Protein Bowl options. The service has always been good, but sometimes they are training new folks, and that's just fine. There are several comfortable tables inside and a nice outside seating area as well. I would not hesitate to try this place if you're in the mood for a great burger. read more

I'll preface this review by saying that we have been here multiple times since they opened and have had a fine time. It's nice to have a no frills eatery next to the park for the kids- it's never busy so there's never a wait which is great. Came in around 5 pm on a Monday night with my family. Ordered a Cobb salad. Got part way through the Cobb salad and realized the bacon and hard boiled eggs were missing (I'm holding a 5 month old trying to eat so it took me a minute to realize this) Politely ask the server when she swings by next if I did in fact order or a Cobb salad or maybe I ordered something else by mistake. She says yes, you did order the cobb and it is missing bacon and hard boiled eggs- she says she will talk to the kitchen. Awesome. Crisis averted She comes out 10 mins later with a small plate of chopped boiled eggs... no bacon. She explains that "this is what the kitchen sent me out with... I'm sorry" At this point we're ready to go anyway so I say "totally fine... maybe you can just take this salad off my bill" You'd think that would be the expected thing to do since the two most expensive items on a Cobb salad are in fact the bacon and the hard boiled eggs, but no. I'm met with a hard no. The owner Mr. O'Brien has instructed via phone call NOT to take this salad off my bill and that he wants my phone number to call me in the morning. lol. Ok. We pay for the 75.00 meal and tip 20 percent. It's not about the money... it's about the customer service. I've worked in this industry and I know it's much easier to comp a salad than it is to put a bad taste in an entire families mouth. We will not be back. read more

So excited to have O'Briens back in Ada! They truly transformed the red school house into such a cool spot. It's conveniently located next to the playground and in the heart of all of the shops. We sat out back on the deck where they have large TVs and plenty of shade. Parking was simple and free as well. They are still new and this was our servers 2nd day, so we couldn't complain about anything on her end. She was very friendly but there was some confusion when she took our drink order before another girl came over to do the same. We started with the cheese curds and they were great. They gave us the option of so many sauces which was fun to try. The food came so fast that none of us could even believe it was ready. We heard other tables around us also mention how quick the service was as well. I wish the wrap came with a side of ranch since it was pretty spicy with the jalapeños but I could have easily asked for that. My wife loved her salad and my daughter enjoyed the grilled cheese with fries. Overall, the portions are massive, just like their other location. The prices reflect this though and are definitely on the higher side, but the quality and portion size make up for it. We loved that you can still go inside to get candy and ice cream! read more

This is one of my top go-to places for food! I work nearby, and whenever I want a reliable meal without worrying about inconsistency or unfriendly service, this is where I go. The staff is incredibly friendly -- they even remember my name! They're always helpful with the menu and fantastic with children, which makes the experience even better. And don't even get me started on the food! It's consistently great. I usually order a kids' meal for my younger siblings, and honestly, it's enough to feed two of them. Stopped in on a Friday night @6 with 2 friends da. All outside tables full, got an inside table. Waitress took drink order promptly. Seemed to take a while for her to come back for food order. When she did, she said it'd be 45 min for kitchen. She never came back to check on us after dropping off our food. I had to remind her I wanted water. Food good with large portions. Massive skip, service here is a gamble!!! Some of the servers here are awesome, sweet and generous! But, one server in particular we had today checked on us once for our whole meal (it was when she took our order) and then brought the check promptly telling us "so we can leave whenever we want". I was very confused as I had to ask for a refill after we already payed, and while I was still eating and in return I was glared at and told "k". I was extremely confused, meanwhile there were kids on scooters going in and out of the restaurant table to table screaming. The whole experience was very off putting, and I can't recommend this place at all. I don't want to gamble on service at a restaurant, I want reliable, attentive, caring servers who at least pretend to care. I use to come here very frequently, but safe to say I won't be back. We just heard about how great the food was here and went yesterday to check it out. All 4 of us had outstanding sandwiches! We sat outside on their warm enclosed patio with a view of the river and the covered bridge. Service was fast and friendly. They have a full bar with happy hour until 6:00. It's so cool that they have Mooville ice cream up front and the fun nostalgic candy counter. Love, love, love your new location. Our first visit was during beer on the bridge so the deck was just perfect. The California Club was so fantastic! The coleslaw had so much tasty flavor!! I love that they have so many gluten free options are great. We chatters with the owner who said he had a relative with Celiac and crisis so they are very mindful. Yay!! Ordered online, the special said 3 tacos with chips and homemade salsa. When I arrived home after pick up, there were no chips or salsa in the bag, so I called and they said it was an eat in special only, however it was on their online menu. Just checked the menu again today and it is still on the online menu and it has been a week. Also ordered the onion rings with ranch and paid extra for a chipotle dip, again neither were I included with my order. When I called on this they offered to give me some money back. They gave me 80 cents, essentially the cost of the additional dip. Nothing for the ranch that was missing and we did not even end up eating the onion rings because who wants plain onion rings? The tacos were dry. We did get a burger that was very good and a sandwich that was decent. Overall, we paid 70 dollars for 3 dry tacos, a burger, a sandwich and an order of onion rings. Too pricey for what we received and super disappointed with the lack of quality control! read more

Enjoyed being seated in the outside porch area with a great view. Friendly, competent wait staff. Ordered a chili dog and it fell way short of a positive choice. The "chili" was dried up hamburger, with some spice that was incredibly salty. It was not chili. No sauce. Just dry hamburger. It was then topped with 2 large globs of yellow mustard that was overload on the tastebuds. I ate about 1/2 and gave up. read more

We have so enjoyed this outdoor dining spot along the park and river in Ada this summer. Even on very hot days it's possible to find a shady spot under the awning... But fair warning, the word is out about their yummy French Fries and more-than-ample, tasty sandwiches, draft beers and other menu items so don't dawdle. I have loved O'Briens for many many years. The food is amazing but if you need to get in and out fast, that's not going to happen. The new location is great but not set up well for efficiency. The restaurant is always busy. Great location and excellent food. Huge menu. The issue is the very small kitchen area. One cook is not enough crowds. I placed an online order, the address for the location I placed the order said E. Paris. after placing the order and attempting to pick up I was told it must have been placed to this location. I called them to see if my order could be transferred to the other location or delivered to me and was denied. I then asked for a refund because I am a nurse and unable to drive out to this location and was also denied. they stated that I was not going to be able to have my food or get the refund and the manager I spoke with was extremely rude stating it was not his problem. I understand I made a mistake, but I triple checked and everything stated my food would be at the location I was able to pick up from. honestly I would've let it go had the manager had a better attitude, but now I'll be disputing the charge since they refused to actually help. don't recommend making any mistakes at this location because they won't help you resolve the issue as it isn't their problem. read more
