2nd best burger I've had this week, during burger week. Best price of all the burgers. 5 stars. I will be back way more often. Interior was nice and clean. Location is great. And our server was fantastic.
I had walked past this place probably a hundred times and finally decided to give it a try. For some reason I thought this was the type of restaurant where you order at the counter, but when I went here, I realized it's a full service restaurant. My friends and I grabbed a booth and so adored the cool wallpaper and decor. I ended up ordering the Brussel sprouts to share and the fried chicken sando. The brussel sprouts were sooooooo yummy! Savory and sweet and finger-licking good. I could've licked the plate, seriously! The sandwich was really tasty too and the perfect size at a great price. All of my friends were pleased with their meals too and we had good service. I hear that they have a really tasty brunch so I'll be sure to come check that out soon!
Came back to Nonla and didn't get their fastball this time. Was able to try their "Restaurant week" feature which had a wagyu patty, caramelized onions, tempura onion rings, and a French onion aioli on it. Came with fries and an apple tart for dessert. This just shows Nonla knows how to make a good burger no matter what the toppings or sauces are. Burger was cooked well, plenty of fries, and the toppings were simple and not over the top. Top tier burger for a place that already has a go-to burger for me. Always a fan of Nonla when on Bridge Street!
Seated right away on a Tuesday afternoon during happy hour specials. Ordered the Nonla Wings and the hot honey Brussels sprouts. Large portion of Brussels spouts crispy with bacon and hot honey sauce. Delicious. 5 large crispy wings with a slightly sweet Asian type sauce. Wonderful. Cheeseburger and hand cut fries were great as well. Everything came out fast. And the service was great.
I haven't had a thin patty burger this good in a looooooong time! The double patty burger, done the Nonla Way hit so good. First can we talk about the bun? It's so rare to get a bun that stays in tact with the burger AND isn't dry. This bun was perfect. The ingredients (lettuce, jalapeño, pickles that were like cucumbers, the cheese, the sauce...it all came together beautifully. AND it's rare that a thin patty still has a hint of pink (usually they're well-done & dry). Both patties were perfect. The hand cut fries - it's hard to go wrong (but definitely possible to) with hand cut. They weren't soggy, they weren't salty, so imo they were .
Visited during lunch. It was a random stop as the place we had planned to visit was closed, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Not super busy when we stopped in (130ish). We struggled to park due to the vicinity but found a big lot a block over. We were seated immediately. Service was good as was the burger and strawberry shake. There is a very limited menu, though so if you don't want a burger or salad or fries you might want to look elsewhere. The vibe wasn't favorite, but served us fine for lunch. Overall the chairs weren't the most comfortable, but everything was clean.
So my buddy kept bragging on this place.... So I had to try it..... omg the spicy chicken sando is not from this world. Is is so amazing. The wings are off the charts. And so are the fries. In GR cocktails flow. Not in Kzoo or so I was told. Great service! The food is VERY REASONABLE! You felt like you were in an old dinner. I loved it! This place is a must if you're in GR or Kzoo!
Ordered thru doordash. Ordered the #1 N.B. Double meal. Did not receive the french fries. Also ordered a SEPARATE order of Nonla Way Fries which cost $7.25 and literally was in this little tiny paper boat. It was probably 15 fries if that. I am not impressed at all. Likely will not be back. Way too overpriced and I don't understand why lately it seems like everything I order is always missing something.
This was my first time trying Nonla; I ordered an NB Double to-go, just the sandwich (the meal would include a drink and fries). The burger is a good size; the patties seemed a tiny bit bigger than a usual smash patty. It comes with standard toppings--lettuce, tomato, onion, and a secret sauce which is like that thousand island-style sauce. The flavors were all good, just nothing special to rave about in my opinion. If it wasn't for the sauce and cheese, the burger itself actually tasted a little dry. After tip, my burger alone was just under $10. I liked it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for a burger. If I come again, I would like to try the fries and/or the milkshake flavor of the day.
Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed it. One of the owners sat us and gave us the entire run down of the menu and her favorites. The ordering was a little confusing because we kinda had a server, but some people were ordering at the counter, but the table had a QR code. Once she didn't come back for a little bit, we decided to place our order with the QR code, since we were in a rush. The food arrived pretty quickly and it was delicious. The hot chicken sandwich tasted just like classics in Nashville. The fries were great and one of ours was Nonla Style, and we loved that too. I was hoping to try their special strawberry shake, but it wasn't available on the QR for some reason, so we let her know and she apologized. Overall, super fast casual and great food. The staff were all super friendly and took great care of us. We will definitely be back.
Another awesome meal at Nonla. Today's special is the deep fried double cheeseburger. The staff is always so friendly. On a cold winter day the place is less than half full.
Went here due to a TikTok suggestion. Nicely decorated, reminded me of a new trendy kind of place. Had to wait a few mins for a table. Took forever to get the waiter to take our order. After we ordered, the order seemed to take a long time to come out. The people behind us got their food before we did, even tho we ordered before them. I shoulda requested the Brussels to come out first, but I assume when I order an appetizer and food, the app would come out first. Everything came out together. Burger had no flavor and was on the dry side. Fries were subpar and soggy. Brussel Sprouts needed more of the topping and honey. There was some woody stick-ish thing on the top of several Brussels. I'm thinking who ever prepped these didn't cut enough off. Cups were paper to go cups, plastic utensil packets. Napkins were in a pop up bin on the table. Spent $25 plus tip and I felt like I could picked any ol' burger place and been happier.
Still so good and so affordable. I can't love this place enough - which is why we came for Valentine's Day!

This meal is for the brave, like me. There's a lot going here flavor wise! Hunger at the time: 7/10 Sauces: 6.65/10 blueberry jalapeño cream cheese has a kick to it! Blueberry compote, never heard of it! Syrup, didn't use it don't need to! Chicken: 8.3/10 Spicy Chicken& it was tender as all get out! Bacon: 8/10 solid Waffle: 7.9/10 The vessel that holds it all together! Beware of what comes after a meal like this! Again, only for the brave! read more

Okay. We should've come sooner. This is the best burger and chicken sando I've had in a looonnnggg time. Dare I say... better than In- N - Out! My kids loved it, the hubby loved it, I loved it. 5/5. The staff were friendly and the milk shakes were on point. Mine was spiked and it made me happy all day. That chicken sando though. Wow. Perfectly balanced with a carrot slaw and just a touch of chili oil to get a sizzle all held together with a decadent brioche bun. Voila! So delicious! I had a bite of hubby's burger and it was melt in your mouth awesome. I secretly love it when a restaurant has a small menu. I always hope it means they do a few things really well. Nonla lived up to all my expectations. Fast, but leisurely in the inviting diner atmosphere. The kids enjoyed asking me for $$ to play the games. Luckily, they were all winners. Hubby says this is his top 5 place and we will have to come back again soon! He also implored me to write an unequivocal 5 star review... a rare request from his mouth. Thanks Nonla! read more
Originating in Kalamazoo, Nonla Burger's Bridge Street location in GR is super popular. Their specialties are crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, and fries. The menu is concise and they do these classics well. They also have a daily milkshake and weekly food features. I still need to visit for their Sunday brunch! I've now been to the GR location many times and really appreciate how dialed in they've gotten over the years. You can order at the counter to go or get table service. The space is large and bright and good for groups. On my most recent visit, I was trying to decide between a burger and a chicken sandwich, and realized I'd never had the BBQ chicken club, which is listed as a grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Our server told me that people like it if they are looking for something without fried chicken... but I really wanted fried chicken. So I asked if I could do that with fried chicken instead and she said absolutely! Their menu is super customizable, which is great to know. Our food came out quickly and I was impressed with the presentation of the sandwich. I like that they wrap it in paper which makes it easier to eat. It was a little messy towards the end with the BBQ sauce and mayo, but it was delicious and totally worth it. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the bacon was crispy... I'm thinking this might be my new go-to! Their burgers and other chicken sandwiches are also delicious. They have a full bar and fun cocktails, and happy hour Tuesday-Friday! Parking in the area is always a bit of a challenge, especially with continued construction nearby, but there are metered spots and some paid lots within walking distance. read more

I really like Nonla Burger. Been there 3x so far in the past few months, and always had a good experience here. Our first visit we tried the Double Cheese and the Chicken Sandwich - both were really good. The fries here are really good as well, and go some of that extra sauce on the side. We also tried the onion rings - very crispy good and not greasy. That visit went very well so we went back soon after for another go at the Double Cheese - and got the same result. A really good burger that held up well. Ask for extra onions and I got it - - that was awesome. The service here was also superb. Forgot her name but she was really helpful and accommodating, even gave me the history of the meaning of "Nonla" which was impressive. She was like the Ambassador of Nonla. This is kinda like the In-N-Out of GR, and I think Nonla is even better. Quality is very good, the pricing here is very competitive and affordable. I think this would be a regular go-to place for my burger and chicken cravings if I lived closer to the area. I've already recommended Nonla to several locals - most of which have heard of them and want to try. Very pleased with the quality of their food and the service. read more

Everything at Nonla Burger was so good! I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the chicken taco, which our server recommended--and he wasn't wrong. Both were absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the taco had the perfect balance of crunch and seasoning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the place was great. I'll definitely be coming back to try more! read more
This was my first time here, and let me say that I was completely blown away! I love the location, the fact that there are multiple areas to sit at, and the way they do their ordering! Basically, you come in and get sat. On the table is a QR code to scan that will let you order and pay! The food is then brought to you. It was so easy, super quick, and the server was very helpful with explaining everything since we hadn't been there before. I was so shocked at the prices too! Probably the cheapest burger besides fast food that I've ever had, and the quality was not lacking! There were so many options in terms of toppings, and the side of fries we got was massive! There were also other foods besides burgers, so I plan on returning to give those a try too. Overall, I love how quick and simple the food was but how cheap and quality it was at the same time! read more

Great food, service, and ambiance. We went for lunch during our girls trip and everyone had a great food. The chicken was fresh and fried to perfection. All of the meals came with more than enough french fries. We said we could've even shared. They have a great happy hour too, we were just a little too early for it. This place is definitely one to try. read more

Their crispy hot chicken taco is amazing! This same taco won the Grand Rapids taco competition and I had to get it again when I saw it on their specials today! They fry the corn tortilla which gives it the same texture as an elephant ear and then dusts it in Parmesan cheese for added flavor. Inside the taco is hot crispy chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese and spicy ranch dressing making it a mouthwatering taco experience! read more

Solid burger place in Grand Rapids! I was suggested this place by my Uber driver and he was absolutely right, hands down a delicious burger! If this was in my town, I would absolutely be going back to this place over and over. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and both were awesome Highly recommend checking this place out and will be sad to not have it again for who knows how long read more

The food is good but the takeout packaging was awful. Someone put brussel sprouts in a loose, open basket. By the time I got back (only a 3 minute drive) the honey sauce had soaked through the paper bag and made a huge mess on my car seat, coat, and rest of the food. read more
After getting a few drinks on a night out, my sister and I were looking for somewhere to grab some food. We both have been wanting to try Nonla Burger, so we thought this was the perfect time to! We were able to choose our own seats and you have the option of either ordering at the front or ordering from your phone which I thought was convenient! I ordered the crispy chicken sando and a side of fries and my sister ordered the nem nuong burger (they have a different special item everyday!) and they were all so delicious! The chicken was super crispy and the fries were well seasoned! Next time I will definitely have to get the Nonla way fries! read more
I came here with a work group and it was great! The service was friendly and helpful. I know large groups can be difficult to accommodate but they handled our group of 14 splendidly! The ambiance was bright and open with pretty art and nice furnishings. The burger was amazing! I got a double cheeseburger and it was done up perfectly. The Nonla-way fries were also really delicious! Finally, the prices, I was surprised at the value for what I got. Well worth it! Give this place a whirl next time you're near GR's Westside! read more
I'm a little behind.... (as you can probably tell from the snow in the outdoor pic ) but we FINALLY tried Nonla Burger! We all tried both the burgers and the chicken sandwiches to get the full effect. They might have burger in their name but..... their chicken sandwich is truly a showstopper Drinks and sandwiches are such a vibe- especially when the drinks include things like a boozy orange julius! We loved the fast casual service- order at the front or from a QR code, and get your food brought out to you. The perfect Friday night spot! read more

Burger was tasty and had a good amount of toppings. Fries were crispy and there were a lot that came with the burger meal deal. Service was ok, waitress was super quiet and didn't necessarily "check on us" when the food came out. Has a good amount of seating inside and some outdoor options as well. read more

Ordered 2 double meals through DoorDash. One regular and one on a lettuce wrap. Box came taped on 3 sides to be secure! All food was still warm. Delicious! I would say the fries needed more salt! Lettuce wrap was done great! It was wrapped securely with the perfect amount of lettuce! read more
