Great food and service at very reasonable prices. Polish platter on Thursdays is solid. Burgers, pizza and chili are good everyday.

Immediately noticed and enjoyed the life size cut out of Hulk Hogan and knew this would be a good fit. We were greeted by a waitress and someone else shadowing her. They brought some fun spicy popcorn designed to make you want a beer. I ordered a Harmony Brewing Company Draft beer and was brought the wrong one, oops! They quickly fixed it. Their pint glasses are so cool, because when you reach the end it has a funny picture at the bottom. Please see picture for reference. We chose the deviled eggs for an appetizer. They were good, but cold. I'm sorry, but no one's deviled egg recipe compares to Low Country Carolina Restaurant in my opinion. Plus at $5 for their happy hour special as opposed to $12 at this establishment... it kinda felt pricey and lacking. Originally, we ordered the brisket sandwich to split. There was another big table of people the waitress was also serving. Turns out 20 minutes or so later she went to put in our order and they were out of brisket! She was apologetic and offered to buy us dinner. We split the chicken sandwich instead and got some onion rings with it. The chicken sandwich was really good; juicy, crispy, no complaints. I was full after eating half and splitting the onion rings with my friend. Onion rings were okay, but didn't appear to be homemade. We appreciated the ranch to dip it in. Before leaving we took our photo next to the cute garden wall with a shiny neon sign that read "Making Pour Decisions!" So punny!! I don't live around the corner, so I probably won't be back anytime soon, but the food is good. We appreciate the servers remedied any of the errors graciously and felt like we were treated with respect. This place is a great diner themed bar with a relaxed vibe. I'd recommend trying them out if you're in town.

This is a Sweet and spicy stuffed egg, candied cajun thick cut bacon, charred poblano pepper garnish. These are good, but the taste aren't fully complimentary. The bacon was a little tough, however they are overall enjoyable. I was going to have their Bbq Bolognese for my entree, however they changed their menu sometime in the past, but didn't update their websites dinner menu! I got their Smoked Meat Trio ($32) instead. This has Ribs, Brisket, and Turkey. Along with Mac n Cheese and a veggie plus some Cornbread. This was a massively disappointing meal. The ribs were not tender at all, thankfully they were tough, just not tender. They tasted okay, very average at best. The brisket on the other hand was tough and not very tasty at all, definitely below average. The turkey was my favorite and the only thing I fully ate, however their was something not right. Is it frozen turkey or another thing, not sure. The bbq sauce on the meats was also okay, but nothing I would order. The mac n cheese was good. It actually tasted unique and is something I would order again. The cornbread was my favorite thing, not even colse to the best I've had, but very good. The service now was fantastic. Very friendly and everyone seems happy. Overall a 3 star review. Would I return? No, the fact they had Deviled eggs brought me in. However nothing I had makes 30 minutes travel time worth it. I would definitely skip the smoked meats! The popcorn you get when you're sat is highly enjoyable though.

Burrito is packed full of hash browns, crispy bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese. The only downside to the Kevin Malone is that they use spinach instead of like a chopped lettuce for the burrito and the texture is a little overpowering. Plus, they don't chop the stems off the spinach, so I'd either order it without or pick some pieces out. I feel like the Brunchwrap has a thicker layer of it and as much as mixing in a green is smart, it has to be prepped properly in my opinion. Patatas bravas as a side were fire. The potatoes were roasted and seasoned well. It advertised a garlic aioli, but we did not get that. As with San Chez's patatas bravas, ask for the sauce on the side. It is a very good side of potatoes compared to the thinly, oddly sliced potato slices that came with the breakfast sandwich. They looked like apple slices and were sort of wet and soggy like them too. Nitpicking their spinach prep and refining their side dish of potatoes are really the only notes if someone from Mudpenny is actually reading this and got this far. Great breakfast spot and service was spot on.

I got a brown sugar shaken espresso latte and a steak bowl and both were fantastic. I was surprised by the latte not being too sweet like most places, and you could still taste the coffee. The only downside to this restaurant was the heat, it almost felt like there was no air conditioning. I will say there are tons of windows and nice natural light, so that could be the culprit. They do have a nice patio if the weather is right, unfortunately when I was there the smoke was considered hazardous, so eating inside was the best option. All in all, I would recommend anyone trying MudPenny if you like to eat good ingredients and drink great coffee!

I've gone to the downtown deli for over 20 years and it's been my favorite deli ever since. However I recently heard that the Ada Grill version has a very good burger. So I ordered the Cowboy Burger ($16). This has two 4 oz burger patties grilled, topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, haystack onions & bbq sauce. It was very good. For Local-ish Burgers it just cracks my top 10. It come with chips, but I upgraded to fries ($3.5). They definitely aren't worth an additional almost 4 dollars. They are good, but also nothing special. I also ordered my favorite deli sandwich of the Phil J ($15.50) to go. It was as good as the downtown location, however I felt ripped off. There was about half the normal chicken salad on it. Also the chips don't travel well if you're refrigerating it for later. The service was excellent. Very friendly and provided quality service. Overall a 4 1/2 star review. Since I have to round, it becomes a 4 due to the small amount of meat on the deli sandwich. Would I return? Overall for the deli side I'll probably stick with downtown location, however for a good dinner yes I would come back.

I'd get a different sandwich next time. Seems like a nice spot to have a casual lunch with friends and also a place you could hang at the bar for a while :) felt like a small town vibe which was fun.

It doesn't really work for my tastes, but also wouldn't stop me from visiting. The light kevel difference when it's bright outside and you enter and it's a little hard to see, but you quickly adjust. I ordered their Hamburger ($15 + $1 for cheese) it is a Charbroiled ground sirloin patty served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato and onion. The patty was small, probably a 1/4 pound patty. The meat is tasty and definitely good quality meat. The veggies were super fresh. However the burger to veggie equation was way too far on the veggie side. Also at $16 it is way too small. I think if the doubled the size of the patty or just did a double patty they would have a good thing going. At it current size and price though I couldn't recommend. zi got fries with it and they were very good. The service was very good. Alan seemed to enjoy his job and it showed in his service. overall sadly it is only a 3 star review. The atmosphere and small size of meat vs price. Plus the place was just really loud. The menu in the entrance features Rueben soup- a cup or a bowl. No price! Wait until you get the bill --$8.50 a CUP ! Thankfully, we didn't each order a Bowl! The soup was mediocre at best. After questioning the price, our Waitperson assured us that the bowl was chuck-full of Corned Beef, as if that alone justified the price! (And what else goes into Rueben soup?) The $4.00 split charge for plates will not entice diners to rush back! We split the wet burrito. The portion size would justify that added cost, but not in this case! I do have to give them a "thumbs up" on the drinks; but the price points on the rest of the menu are certainly not appealing!

Noco Provisions, Grand Rapids, Michigan…read more While visiting a local whom I've known since law school 40 years ago, we stopped at Noco Provisions on Cascade Road, Grand Rapids in late June 2026. We arrived around 5:30 p.m., early enough that there were still places to sit, inside and outside. Our host explained that the tables were full at the moment, predicting a table would be ready within 15 minutes. We agreed and headed to the bar. As we were getting settled there a table opened up and we brought our drinks from the bar to the table (Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay, $15; White Claw ($5) and a Bombay Sapphire ($10), all subject to a 3.5% surcharge, which is never actually explained, so we can't tell if the server gets to share in the benefit of the surcharge or whether he or she gets nothing from the charge. I assumed the restaurant was not sharing this money with the service staff, so I tipped as though she was not a beneficiary of the charge. Service both at the bar and at our table was great. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip ($22.00, thinly sliced prime rib topped with melted white cheddar and au jus. Served on a toasted hoagie bun with fries). The meal was presented with less than a 20-minute wait, totally in line with the venue. Our server was observant (she kept our water glasses full) and helpful. Since the sandwich was pretty substantial, I was able to box up half plus the leftover fries, making a great lunch the next day. Great service, authentic American menu, nice indoor layout with equally nice outdoor seating.
