Food is good service was good. I didn't get my beer but that's OK. The problem is the smell from the bathroom bathrooms makes the whole place smell like a sewer and it's disgusting and it needs to be fixed or we will not be returning. read more

Great service. Inviting atmosphere. My brother-in-law told me that it was a biker bar back in the day and d a bit rough. Some of that history is in pictures on the wall, but the restaurant has gone in a more inclusive direction. I've eaten here 2x and enjoyed it. The steak and the chicken sandwich were great. When ever we go there the services depends if the staff is drinking or not. If they are drinking the service is horrible. If not it is top notch. I get the staff should have fun while working but not to intoxication. Food is awesome though!! read more

Short staffing is an issue everywhere, but no greeting, acknowledgement, and the bartenders ignoring you for 10 minutes to do clean up work is depressing. Can't comment on the food we didn't get but a couple next to us didn't finish their sandwiches and made faces. read more

If you are looking for great bar food I would highly recommend going to Riverbend Bar and Grill in Ada. The atmosphere in this bar is a cozy casual bar feel, and they have a bunch of beer on tap. My husband had the hangover burger which came with over easy egg, cheese and bacon on top of a burger. Made for a delicious and cheap burger. The grilled cheese was loaded with bacon and the fries were nice and crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. We also had two tall draft Miller lights and an appetizer of jalapeño poppers. With all of this our bill was under $30, which is a steal for how much food we got. They have a huge menu full of salads, sandwiches, pizza, and Mexican section. My husband and I ate here after my friends and I spent a day shopping, and he spent the day with his friends at the winter beer fest. This place is pretty local to where we live but we haven't eaten here since it changed hands a number of years ago. Evidently my sister has been here a number of times and it was at her suggestion that our group ate there. My sister shared some onion strings that she ordered (I'm not entirely sure that she meant to share them, but I snagged a few) and they were pretty good. My husband got the western burger and fries and I got a taco salad with chicken in place of the taco meat. His burger was real good, according to him, and his fries (according to him and ME) were very good. My taco salad was not so good but it was more me than the cook. The taco salad normally comes with taco meat, and not liking seasoned meat, I ordered it with chicken instead. I assumed that the chicken would be a piece of grilled chicken (never assume) but it was seasoned shredded chicken. Wanting to salvage the salad I picked out the chicken (it was a lot) and asked for more lettuce and onions in its place. Once I fixed the salad to my liking it was much better.....even if the shell bowl was over done. I will most likely not order that particular salad again but there was much more on the menu to choose from and I'm looking forward to frequenting that restaurant more as I liked the atmosphere and I really liked the live band that performed later in the evening. Prices were decent and, like I stated earlier, the selection of entrees was plentiful. I didn't catch the waitresses name, but she was quite nice and was very good at keeping our water pitcher full......the guys did not order much to drink as they had been drinking all day at the beer fest. Me and the old lady were looking for a down to earth place for a burger and a beer near Ada. I remembered the old Dirty Shame from my youth (they used to sell live bait behind the bar) which is now the River Bend. The atmosphere is a cross between "Roadhouse" (love Swayze-RIP) and an old Bill Knapps. The highlight was our waitress who was extremely attentive, helpful with the menu, and very personable. She reminded me of the girl from Different Strokes before drugs. Solid beer selections including several craft brews. The burgers were huge and the fries were fresh. There was live entertainment on the night we visited. Sort of a one man band show but he lost me during his set of Moody Blues B sides. Overall a great place for some tasty bar food shared with regular Americans. read more

The good: My cheeseburger was really good and cooked medium, the way I requested. One big advantage of dive bars is they usually aren't afraid to cook a burger medium with some pink if you ask them to. A lot of chain places are so scared of a government audit that it is simply off limits for them to serve anything that's not well done. My word for that is "cremated." These mom and pop places are the only chance most us will get to experience a burger when dining out that's not petrified. The French fries were also very good. The Mediocre: My seven layer nachos were pretty mediocre. Chili's does a better job with nachos and I really prefer not to compliment a chain place unless the difference is astounding. I really didn't need a year's supply of sliced olives in one entree. The Bad: My ice tea was not fresh brewed. Fake iced tea really irritates me, especially when I can get excellent iced tea at any fast food place. That's a hot button for me and I don't understand why so many places serve substandard iced tea. If you're not going to match the quality of McDonald's or Wendy's on a given item, consider pulling it off the menu altogether. read more

Great place with "cheers" type atmosphere. Typical bar food but with some great surprises. The prime rib French dip is served on the best Parmesan garlic loaf; and the thin crust pizza gives you all the delicious toppings without getting stuffed full of bread. Full bar and five beers on tap. We got a 64oz pitcher of bud light for $5.00 on Wednesday. Drink specials run all night, not just for a couple hours before dinner rush! read more

Unfortunately the service has been not very good the last couple of times we've gone on Mondays for the sizzler special. The waitress never came back and asked if we needed anything else after our food was brought with just a drop it on the table attitude. The special was a good deal before they raised the price and cut the sizzles in half. I don't think we'll be frequenting there anymore I can get a better meal at bBranns and the waitresses are nicer. read more
