If you're a lover of all things pickle, the toasted pickle is your heaven! You feel like you belong as soon as you as you walk in. They greet you with a free pickle shot. Food was all amazing and definitely will fill you up. Portions are HUGE! It was quiet when we went. Must try if you love pickles!

First time going and was immediately greeted by the nicest man, who showed us where the menus were or offered for us to order at the tables where they'd bring us the food. We each ordered both a sandwich (I got the sixie from Dixie and a strawberry lemonade and my brother had an Italian bomber and regular lemonade). Food came out quick and was delicious! The restaurant was so cute and decorated adorable. Pickles were of course fantastic!

Stopped by a couple of weekends ago for an app and a drink and we are so glad we did! We entered the restaurant and were greeted right away by a super nice guy who directed us on how to order. We decided to head upstairs and check out the menu and order with our phones as downstairs was hopping. The restaurant is super cute with lots of stuff to look at. Laid back vibe with plants and decor. We sat at a high top with comfy chairs. I ordered a glass of sparkling rose- delicious! And the pickle poppers. Now- I didn't really know what to expect but omg...order these!! A pickle wrapped in an egg roll type wrapper with pimento cheese and fried served with this outrageous creamy dill sauce!? It's been a few weeks and I'm still thinking about them! Can't wait to go back and try some other menu items. Awesome spot!

Now this is based off my experience at the other location. I was highly disappointed! We were the only ones there and my food was cold. I had the green goddess and it was super greasy. Idk just wasn't what i remembered it to be. The waffle fries are not worth $10. They were cold also. They were friendly when we walked in and explained everything. This restaurant is a lot bigger than the other location. Definitely cute place.

The Toast Pickle seems like a strange place to visit if you don't care for pickles. In fact, I may have come here a while ago if I had simply figured out to order and "hold the pickle"! We checked Yelp and studied the menu and headed up to Rockford for hopefully a good lunch. I was surprised to see The Toasted Pickle located in the same space that used to house an old favorite, "Ramona's Table". In fact, we were upset when they moved from East Grand Rapids to Rockford making it a longer drive for us. That was short lived as we probably ate at Ramona's a couple times a month. At The Toasted Pickle, you can order at the counter or scan a QR code at your table. Your order will then be delivered to you. In as much as I often customize, I ordered at the counter. My French Dip sandwich was really, really good. I ordered it without cheese and of course, no pickle. Meat was tasty, au jus was a perfect addition and the lightly toasted ciabatta garlic butter roll was the perfect anchor both structurally and taste-wise for this masterpiece. My wife ordered the Nashville Hottie. I'm a sucker for a great Nashville type chicken sandwich but I knew she would give me a taste or two so I stuck with the French Dip. There is no doubt I will order a Nashville Hottie on my next visit. Chicken rivaled some of the best I've enjoyed in Nashville. This sandwich is served topped with cole slaw and wonderful sauces and pickles on a brioche bun. I'm happy to see this location is home to another very good restaurant. Well worth the 34 mile round trip drive.

The atmosphere is cozy. Not a huge place, but it's comfortable. I like the green theme, it fits with the pickle name. I Ordered the Monte Cristo ($12). Maybe I went into this expecting too much after hearing how great this place is. I was highly disappointed in this sandwich. The French Toast bread was very ehh. The meat and cheese inside was good, not necessarily great. The worst part for me was the Raspberry Sauce. I just did not like it. I also ordered a side of Sweet Potato Waffle Fries ($6). A little pricey, but there was a decent amount of them. O thought they were a little too salty, but otherwise good. I order a Raspberry Lemonade ($6). Again a little Pricey, but it was excellent. Definitely in my top 3 of Lemonade's. Lastly I got a piece of White Pine Cheesecake with Caramel sauce ($5). This may be the 1st cheesecake that at the worst a just very ehh and is instead just not good, almost horrible. I ended up throwing it away. The taste itself was just odd and the texture of it was wierd. The service was absolutely excellent. Everyone who brough my food out was very friendly. Overall a subpar experience for me. It all rounds out for me to a 3 star review. Would I return? Probably not. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Hark, good folk of Rockford! Attendeth to mine words, for verily I bring tidings of a feast most splendid at the Toasted Pickle! Methinks, upon this eve, the stars did align in culinary favor, and my family--my daughter, my son, and I--did venture forth to this quaint establishment. The French dip, a savory delight, graced our tongues, whilst my son, bold as a knight, partook of the Bacon Jam Burger, its sizzling allure irresistible. Lo, we didst order the Dilly Deal, a bounty of seasoned fries and a quaffable drink. Verily, the fries were as golden as King Midas' treasure, and we feasted upon them with gusto. So plentiful were they that even the combined might of our trio couldst not vanquish both portions; nay, we left half unconquered, like noble warriors sparing their strength for the morrow's battle. But hark! A revelation! I, too, didst seek a companion for my fries--a side of Pimento Cheese, rich and tangy, to dip and savor. Verily, it was a match made in culinary Valhalla, and I regret it not. I commend thee, dear reader, to partake of this wondrous pairing! Now, let us speak of the Toasted Pickle itself. Aye, it stands apart, for it boasts an upper chamber wherein one may dine, as if feasting in the castle keep. Yet, I must voice a single lament: the chill in the air, akin to the frosty breath of a dragon, did vex me. I, who prefer a cooler clime, found myself yearning for a hearth to warm my bones. Alas! As for the coinage required for such delights, let it be known that the prices are not for the thrifty of purse. Yet fear not, for the portion sizes doth assuage the sting. Verily, a wise investment, for a full belly is worth its weight in gold. In conclusion, dear denizens of Rockford, seek ye the Toasted Pickle with eager hearts and empty stomachs. Revel in the seasoned fries, dip with pimento cheese, and bask in the warmth of camaraderie. And if thou art of hardy constitution, brave the chill aloft, for there lies adventure! Fare thee well, and may your next repast be as merry as a minstrel's tune!

This cozy rustic, two story sandwich place is located beside the Rockford dam and has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Orders can be placed at the counter or scan the QR code to order and your food is promptly delivered to your table with a smile. We began with pickle poppers filled with pimento, lightly fried and served with a tasty sauce. My husband had the Italian Bomber sandwich- "a taste sensation" according to him! I had the falafel, which was perfectly fried, smothered in greens, strong garlic sauce and feta crumbles. Oh, SO GOOD! We both had specialty lemonades (strawberry basil and cherry lime), a sugar overload, but such a treat. The dining areas were well maintained, as was the gender neutral restroom. I don't usually give five stars to sandwich shops, but this certainly deserved it.

    Pickle poppers
    Megan H.

The Toasted Pickle was awesome! Everything I had was delicious, but the Pickle Poppers were the highlight--crispy, flavorful, and so good. The food was great, the vibe was fun, and the staff was super friendly. I'll definitely be coming back.

    Tables are way to close!

Just average food for high price. Small establishment with zero privacy. Table next to me spent entire hr complaining about wanting to divorce narcissistic husband and I couldn't help but listen! Fought the urge hard not to get involved. Had the black jack and it was soggy and bread was just wrong! Someone needs to introduce them to the opposite end of the street and Arnie's Rye bread! I did enjoy my Peach sangria despite my closeness and convo of loud neighbors

Strawberry basil lemonade, hottie sweet potato waffle fries, green goddess grilled cheese, Hooker whitefish sandwich
    Stacy S.

Literally a flawless experience. Clean, cozy, great atmosphere. Excellent friendly service. But let me tell you.. this food. WOW! We got strawberry basil lemonade and prob the freshest tasting, best lemonade I've ever had. Then the featured hottie waffle sweet potato fries - killer good. They have it all: sweet, spicy, salty, crispy. Then we got the Hooker fish sandwich and Green Goddess grilled cheese. BOTH INCREDIBLE!!! Sheesh, so many good flavors. I can't wait to come back here!!!

This was honestly really helpful in a large group where we could easily order whenever we needed to and manage our own separate checks. There were also servers and bussers who were incredibly diligent and helpful. I ended up getting the hot honey pepperoni pizza (it was discounted on Monday when we went!) and it was very tasty. It was a little oily and greasy but that's to be expected with something like this. I was a fan of the pepperonis they used and don't know what they're called to buy them for myself to eat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming out with friends or biking along the trail and stopping for a pizza.

So when we wandered into Nonno's Homestyle Italian & Pizzeria on a sunny July evening at 5 PM, we were ready to embrace our heritage one bite at a time. Tonight's special was chicken Parmesan with spaghetti, and I knew I had to give it a whirl. My son opted for the pasta penne with chicken and their creamy Rose sauce. His entrée came with a fresh side salad, while both our meals included generous slices of garlic bread. I added a side salad with their house dressing--which, while simple, was downright addictive. Sometimes less truly is more. Now, when we say the portions are generous, we mean it. My son was served what can only be described as a ceremonial pasta bucket. Undeterred, he dug in with gusto and earned his spot in the prestigious clean plate club. As for me, the chicken Parmesan was delicious but defeated me just shy of victory--I ate too much to warrant a to-go box, yet not quite enough to claim a clean plate badge. A noble effort nonetheless. Drink-wise, my son kept things bold with a Dr. Pibb, while I went with a refreshing lemonade. We both agreed our meals hit the mark: flavorful, filling, and made with care. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. The restaurant was spotless, our server friendly and attentive without hovering. I even popped into the men's room before dinner and was genuinely impressed--clean enough that, while I wouldn't endorse it, you could probably eat off the floor. (Respect to the crew who keeps it that pristine.) All in all, Nonno's is one of Cedar Springs' hidden gems--a place where even partial Italians and full-blooded food lovers can find something to celebrate. We'll be back. Next time, maybe I'll train harder and join the clean plate club myself.

I called to discuss with management this morning but feel like our conversation fell short of understanding or resolution. I would like to note that I have never left a bad review and have certainly never reached out to contact owners, managers or staff of any establishment but feel this matter needs attention. Please allow me to explain. Last night 4/9, my sisters, grandmothers & I went to a performance at Devos in GR. After the show we researched and discussed options of where we could eat at that time of night. We had several options but my sister mentioned the great food at the Tavern. Your website advertised family friendly late night dining. We called from the parking garage to confirm Kitchen hours and were told 11:30pm so we headed that way, arriving 10:30-10:40. One of our grandmothers is blind and 89 years old so we helped her up the steps and led her to a low table in the back. Our waitress took our drink orders and when we asked for menus she said that she did not know if we could still order food and checked her watch. We mentioned that we called ahead and they said the kitchen would be open until 11:30. She returned to the table with menus and let us know that we could only order from the appetizer menu of fried food at that time of night (no problem) we are not difficult customers. We ordered 8+ appetizers for our table of 5. Our waitress checked her watch consistently throughout our time there. We appreciated the quality of the food and willingness to accommodate us at a clearly inconvenient time of night for trying to catch a bite. Half way through our meal a song played that would make even the most vulgar squirm if they were at dinner with their grandmothers. It would have been horrible in any situation but we tried to carry on conversation to distract from what was happening. I ended up waiting it out on the bathroom to get away from the entire situation. My sister (27) said that it was the most uncomfortable moment of her life and a night we certainly won't forget. I did not see a jukebox and at the time thought it must have been an employee trying to run us off as there's no possible way it would be on a Playlist. The next day I still felt that the situation was totally unacceptable as we could have visited a number of other restaurants between Grand Rapids and Midland. The majority of us from Montcalm Co. So I called to speak with management. She explained that it must have been a customer playing from the jukebox and that there is no way for staff or management to control what customers can play on the jukebox. She said that she has also been surprised by a few of the selections so I mentioned the specific song, a version of my neck my back (the most sexually explicit song possible). I find it hard to believe that there is no way to override the system or simply change the song. Are you telling me that a smartass 14 year old boy could play this song on a weekday afternoon while he's there with family and there's nothing you can do about it? I find that very hard to believe. She reiterated that there is no way to control it and hoped for a better experience next time. She did say that if I called back with waitress information she could address the service we experienced. Is this possible that there's nothing staff, management or owner can do to prevent or stop such a thing? Would you enjoy a dinner with your family with a slowed down version of this song playing louder than conversation can overpower?
