Ordered a #17 which has a variety of sliced meat each generously piled on to a long slice of bread. You get your choice of custom veggies and select from a wide variety of condiments. Highly suggest the zesty ranch or the garlic and herb mayo. Pro tip: get it ROGUE! They season and toast panini style the sandwich! The sandwich was crisp to the first bite but perfect balance of bread to meat to toppings. The flavors of the customer mayo and mustard cmade the sandwich melt in your mouth with all the flavors hitting at once. You actually get a couple free bites as the meat extends beyond the edges of the bread like an oversized hotdog in a small bun! It's a bit pricy but it's two meals for sure unless you have a serious appetite. To top it all off the servers were super personable and friendly. They wrapped each half separately as I mentioned we were jumping on a plane and this was also going to be our layover meal. So nice so professional I cannot recommend this place enough. Boardwalk subs is quickly becoming one of my favorite lunch spots. The subs are scrumptious and can be built a-la-cart. I have yet to try a soup still. Service is top tier. Stopped on for the first time for lunch today around 3:00 in the afternoon. There were two patrons in front of me, which I was glad about, so I could look over the vast board and extensive menu. There are so many delicious choices! Decisions, decisions, decisions... hmmmm. I ordered the #4 Italian, and it did not disappoint! Layered with meats and cheese with toppings of your choice, then comes the dressings. Oh my! This sub, I'm telling you, was so big and yummy. I will be eating it for three meals, no kidding. The service was impeccable! The young man making my sandwich was a new employee, and his trainer was patient, kind, and helpful. The restaurant's atmosphere is fun and laid back, with clean seating out front. There is ample parking right out front. I got my sandwich animal style. Which is not what they actually call it. But it's the same vibe. An off the menu tweak that involved a sandwich press. You get a lot of food for your money and it's a sandwich, so you pretty much know what to expect when it comes to taste. I would have been happy with a little more meat and cheese for a place modeling itself after East Coast sandwich shops. I'd like to give a 4.5 only because the eating area was kind of dirty. The tables needed to be wiped off. Can't really blame the staff as there was only one person there and she was busy with customer after customer. So onto the important part, the food. We both got the number 18. Ham, roast beef, turkey, and cheese. The meats and cheeses are not pre prepared. They are cut at the time the sub is made and our sub maker was really quick at cutting. I then added lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, black olives, mayo, salt, and pepper. I got wheat and my wife got white. Bread soft and meat was good. Decent price considering the subs are 15 inches. Server was very friendly and very helpful. We ate in. She served each sub on a tray and told us to bring up what we didn't eat and she would wrap it to go. If I'm hungry for a sub and on that side of town again, that's were we will go. Went there for lunch today and the subs were still as good as the last time we were here. I went here on the suggestion of a co-worker of mine after work. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They asked me questions about what I like on a sandwich and explained their choices and toppings clearly and concisely. All the meats and chesses are sliced after you order. I went with the number 8 which has ham, capicola, salami, prostini, pepperoni, & cheese. The bread was very soft and had excellent flavor. The meats, cheeses and toppings blending nicely together. All in all a very wonderful sandwich with great employees. My only knock is the combo price seemed a bit high to me. I will be back, but I'll probably get take out.... read more

The service was terrible! The lady, while making our subs said, "I feel like crap" & her face was flushed. This is not something you want to hear when when someone is making your food especially during a time when Covid is on everyone's mind. When I asked her if she was sick, she said her back was sore. I had been to the Standale location, but this was my first time at this one. Reyna and Savannah demonstrated great customer service skills and were very helpful in making recommendations. I got a tuna sub, and I loved that it wasn't heavy on the mayo. You could also tell it was fresh (unlike some other sub shops). I sampled a few sauces and I think I got a sweet onion and honey mustard bbq sauce on the side. The sweet onion had bits of chopped onions in it - I'm a huge fan. Another thing I was impressed by was how surprisingly good the bread was. It was a good sized sub; I still had some left over for later. I'm happy with my experience and will definitely be back to try another sub. (Savannah recommended the #8.) read more

Try the #11, turkey, prostitini and cheese, with onion, tomato and the honey mustard BBQ sauce - which, by the way, is the best sub sauce I've ever tasted. Here's my take. They skimp a little on the meats and cheeses compared to other places but are generous with the toppings. The issue I have is the person that made my sub cut it into a bunch of uneven pieces and then smashed the hell out of it trying to roll it up in the paper. Just dined here last night for the first time after realizing that my favorite sandwich shop in town, hog Island subs, is closed. Quite disappointing. Tried this boardwalk and a couple of thoughts: it's in an out-of-the-way strip mall location but somewhat close to a major intersection so might get some business that way. Layout inside the restaurant is odd with the actual sandwich counter down a hallway in back and the dining space in front. Nothing wrong with it just a little odd. Sandwiches seemed large I got the number 17 with standard sub fixings and the garlic mayo. Unfortunately overall I'd say it just didn't seem very flavorful. Maybe lower quality meats?it was OK but I certainly won't be rushing back for another try. Acceptable but not great. read more

I tried this place based on an award ad at a local movie theatre. The food and service could not have been more disasterous. First they were taking orders by numbers on the board (vs sandwich names). I verified my choice twice and once while the sandwich was being made. When it came to add condiments, it was clear the wrong one was made (wrong meats). So they simply scraped off the incorrect portion and added nothing more. Then, the condiments put on were minimal amounts (as in not enough to to cover entire sandwich as a topping). When I sat to eat the sandwich I had to clean off a table. There was a staff member who appeared to be in charge of this but was busy talking to another associate. This sandwich was cut into six pieces, or so I thought. When I went to pull off the first section, the entire bottom piece of the sun came with, leaving behind the rest of the "fillings" on the tray. The aforementioned buzzer saw this happen and simply disappeared after witnessing the end result and my dismay, never to return for the following 15 minutes I was there. The bread was overly dry, like it was a day (maybe two days) old. In fact I felt like I was caught in an 80s commercial for burgers as my first bite revealed there was barely enough meat on the sandwich to call it so. I slid the remains into a carry bag hoping to have the rest for me dinner that day. Only by that time the bread had become leather like tough and uneatable. Hence my review, my never returning, and probably the only critical review this place will receive. read more

So I get there around 11:45 and there are 2 people ahead of me trying to order there subs and the 2 workers had Nooo idea what they were doing and in the middle of all this one takes a call and disappeared witch really upset the customer s haha... So I order a meatball sub and the guy asked me what I want on it 4 different times and I keep saying just how it comes bud,hahaha and they had no idea.... So I get back to the office to eat and the sub and the bread is doughy and the meat,cheese,and, sauce are Ice Cold!!! On top of all that the place is DIRTY.
