My family has been here 3 times now. First was a date with just my wife and I. Second time we brought the kids back, and yesterday we brought a set of grandparents as well. All three times, I have tried different foods and beer. Each time, the food was absolutely great, I love the beer, the service is excellent, friendly, fast, and the place is clean and nice. I've had the olive burger, fish and chips and Haus Mac and had them add fried chicken. Truly great, all three times. My family has had the kids burger (small, slider size) but REALLY GOOD, tons of cheddar cheese melting off it, pizza which was great, bacon-wrapped hot dog, great, and we all love the waffle fries and the seasoning on them. I haven't had a bad beer yet, but I recommend the Mortarhead IPA is it's one of the best IPAs I've had in a while! Haven't tried dessert there yet, but it's likely in my future. They have seating to accommodate small or large groups (we were 6 yesterday and had plenty of room in a both). Lots of TVs, which isn't always my favorite, but I appreciate that Bob Ross was on one of them, lol! Overall, this place is great, and we intend to keep going back here! read more

This was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect. Parking was a bit weird with a joint lot in the back and street parking up front. Inside, everything was super open and very bright. Breweries' food varies widely. Some want to focus on beer sales; others offer high quality beer and food. I can't comment on the beer quality at Brick Haus; I was not impressed by the beer choices; relatively limited number are brewed here compared to other GR area breweries. A recent lunch left me disappointed. One positive: a cup of beef stew as a starter was quite good. Otherwise, we left half of our entrees. Two stars at best. This wasn't my first time at Brickhaus Brews, but it's been a while! I was really just drinking, but was persuaded by the barbecue loaded potato skins- and I'm so glad I was! I most definitely had the whole basket to myself. I also tried a variety of beers- the sourmosa, the chocolate porter, and the black haus. The sourmosa was my absolute favorite, I could drink it all day! The black haus was great, and I didn't mind the chocolate porter but I've had better. Special shoutout to the bartenders and servers, who entertained me while I was killing time (it was slow, I promise I wasn't taking up all their time!). The place was busy but there is ample seating as well as spaced out well. The place looked clean and well maintained. The only cleanliness issue was with one of the plates we received that had food remnants on it which didn't come off during the wash. The staff were friendly and attentive. They all made you feel welcomed and appreciated. That is hit or miss these days. The food was delicious! I unfortunately didn't take photos of our food because we were too hungry and jumped right in. The brussel sprout appetizer plate is a definite must. It could be a meal as well. The brussel sprouts were perfectly done with a slight crunchy outside and warm softer inside. The added bacon and sauce was delicious. We devoured all of it. The chicken pizza with jalapeños was amazing. The toppings were ample to cover most of the pizza completely. The Cuban sandwich was equally as delicious with the meat being juicy, ample and complemented well with the cheese and sauce. Both are a good option for anyone liking the ingredients. read more

Been awhile. Menu has changed and I also think manager since my last visit. I ordered the daily special of Burger and Brew Haus beer $10. It is a great price. I requested a medium rare burger. The waitstaff explained they only cook the burger one way...when I exclaimed "how can this place ruin a burger?" She said she would notated the request, but couldn't promise. Please it came back a juicy medium. But why 2 patties instead of one? All that does is make it very messy to eat, so they lost a star for that. read more

Over the past weekend, my wife went here with her bestie, and the experience was pretty lackluster to say the least. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich which unfortunately had multiple small pieces of bone still in it. Her friend requested blue cheese dressing but it unfortunately only tasted like mayo (strange). The waitress was very friendly, the restaurant and its bathrooms were clean and well kept. The food just could've been more desirable overall, not sure if we'll return but always looking for new experiences. read more

Stopped in for dinner and a night cap to be heckled out by another patron. Couldn't even get a bite in before this other fella felt the need to make comments towards me as he claimed I was speaking about him to the bartender. He felt the need to degrade me as I asked for a box to recuse myself from the situation as he had his small child with him. Don't believe this guy is affiliated with the Brick Haus, but may have had an interest with the bartender. Needless to say I've been here many times, and have never dealt with any issues. However, this place will no longer receive my business as it allows local patrons to be subjected to such adolescent behavior by other guests. Let alone the vulgarity this man used in front of his young daughter. Look elsewhere for you food and drink. read more

Updating my previous review from Oct 2020. Came in on a Friday night around 530pm. We were able to get in and grab a table, which was awesome given they are at 25% capacity due to current restrictions. Tables far apart, staff wearing masks, sanitizing, etc. We felt very comfortable dining in! Lindsey was our server and she was awesome! Great personality, attentive, and we never waited long for anything. We had multiple requests, because eating out with a toddler is a debacle, and she always was willing and happy to help. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and was very happy with it! I was expecting super spicy, but it was a nice subtle heat not a melt your face heat. It was a little oily but the bun was thick and soaked up any extra oil very well, and held together. Tasty slaw and really good, thick cut pickles! I'd definitely order again. Hubby got a house salad (don't ask my why!) And enjoy it. The ranch is homemade & delicious! I'm a ranch snob... I approve. Ordered a grilled cheese for our son and I could have eaten it. Adult sizes and really good. Happy to see they've increased their own beer selection. I had the Vanilla Java Porter & the other Porter. I enjoyed both but the porter w chocolate notes was definitely my favorite. Husband had a lighthouse and said it was good. They still have outside taps with a nice selection. Big cocktail menu & wine but didn't look at those. The have pizza on the menu and after seeing a few at other tables, well definitely get those next time. Spent a couple weeks in Sparta for work. Found the Haus by chance on Google and oh boy am I glad I did! delicious chow, amazing personal and timely service and all around great vibes! 10 out of 10 would recommend! I love this brewery located in the heart of Sparta :). They have a few of their own beer, but they also feature other breweries beer. If you don't like a good brew, don't worry, they have cocktails as well. Their food was delicious and the setting is so cute bringing in many local farm names into their decor. Meh that's about all I can say about the food here. I tried the French dip based on another review. I was expecting something great but what I got was a very unfavorable bland sandwich. I had to try and doctor it up with pepper and salt. The au jus was also very bland and didn't add anything to the taste of the sandwich. I also tried the sweet potatoes and those were equally as bland. The cooks really need to take a lesson in how to season foods. There was no spice or flavor at all I was extremely disappointed. My husband had the chicken sandwich and that was mediocre at best. We will not come back based on the food. The decor was on point for a brewery type joint so they have that going for them. We talked about the food and agreed with would have been a better option to hit Culver's or even McDonald's. Shockingly the waitress told us she would try but the kitchen staff were cranky and probably wouldn't cut it for her.
