The food came out quickly. The staff were friendly and prompt. The setting had a very chill vibe. The bathrooms were clean, that's one of the first things I check, that'll tell you a lot about an establishment by how clean or dirty their bathroom is. I would recommend this place to anyone. We'll be back for sure.

Yummy brunch and lunch spot! Went on a Sunday afternoon and jumped on Yelp to get added to the waitlist. Tip: set a reminder on Yelp because the wait time for a 1:00pm timeframe was over 160 minutes! The Yelp wait time is pretty accurate in my opinion. Ordered the chicken and waffles: they come with chicken strips cut up on top of 4 triangle waffles. They were good but just personal preference, could have done without the red pepper flakes on the dish. Also, had the veggie omelette with added sausage and the small pancakes. I will say their drink and cocktail list had a good variety of unique options. Ambiance is modern and stylish with bar area seating with a tv as well as dining area. Looking forward to coming back here again!

Visited at 11am on a Monday and it was busy!! Pros- huge menu with so many yummy and unique options as well as the classics, seasonal specials, large portions, great flavors, vegan milks, fast and friendly service, kid friendly Cons- you may have to wait! Definitely recommend this place and I will be back if I'm in the area!

This is my favorite restaurant in Michigan. My best friend and I come here for our friend-iversary every year. The waitlist system is a bit odd as you have to wait on a second list after checking in, but it's absolutely worth it. The breakfast tacos are AMAZING. Love the staff and menu and drinks. Everything fantastic 100/10

Wow crazy busy - went Saturday @10 am, 2 people. Said wait was an hour. Fortunately we were able to get right in sitting at the bar. Bartender was great, attentive but not overly so. Everything looked delicious walking by to other tables. I went with eggs Benedict & American fries. Sooo yum. Parking lot very busy (near forest hills funky Buddha). Will go back

Service was decent. Walt was ridiculous. The food was good. Will probably go back to the Muskegon location next time!

In town for a wedding and a quick Yelp search told us this was the spot for breakfast. We were there on a Friday morning and we had to wait a short time, so I can imagine on a weekend you need to definitely keep that in mind. The restaurant is bright and cheery, and everything looked good on the tables as we walked by as we were seated. I went with a special- Bananas Foster French Toast and it was as fabulous as it sounds! If I were to get it again I would have the sauce in the side as there was so much it got overwhelming for me, but that says more about my eating issues than the food itself. Our wait staff was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations on things to do while in the area (go to the nearby Meijer Sculpture Gardens!) so we were super grateful for that as well. Would DEFINITELY be back!!

Recently I visited the Brunch House in Grand Rapids. It was an experience for sure. Our wait was 3 hours long. We realized going on a weekend was not a great choice. Every table was full. We had a party of four and our group enjoyed their choices and the prices were similar to all the breakfast restaurants in the area. We paid $50 for 4 meals and a cinnamon roll. The only complaint was the farmers' scramble. It really lacked the hasbrowns they seemed more like they were sprinkled in but everything was visually appetizing too! The waffle was excellent, crispy and fluffy! We also loved the pancakes. The cinnamon roll is a frosted topping and that was also very soft and delicious. Service was good but very slow I don't think our server had enough time to check in on us because of how busy she and the entire team was which is understandable. The restaurant is located in a strip mall where parking is limited! We drove around quite a bit to get an open spot. Overall I would visit again and try other menu items!

I came here for the first time over the weekend and it did not disappoint! I got the acai yogurt bowl and the portion was huge! It reminded me a lot of cafes they have in Florida with the modern and vibrant colors. I will say, this place gets extremely busy and probably one of the busiest brunch spots in Grand rapids. You can join their waitlist through your phone which is highly suggested. Otherwise when you get here you might be waiting 1-2 hours to be seated. It is located in a busy strip of Forest Hills and you might have to walk a little far but the parking lot is pretty big and wraps all the way around to behind The Pantry. Their service was great considering how busy they were.

sorry, I've been gone for a while last year's been crazy. Sold my house, moved into an RV resort into an RV. Perfect place for the great grandkids and family. Lots of eating at home. But periodically we would get out and I will start with the most recent, and hopefully we'll get to go out more and I'll be able to give more reviews. Now on that note, I had a doctors appointment which led us to a place. We've already been to before which was the brunch house. You can't go wrong at the brunch house, and you certainly can't go wrong with any of their Benedict's. Nor their mimosa bucket. Excellent food once again, excellent service and very clean nice place for brunch. They do close at three and we were around the clock, but they served us like we were their first customers. Excellent food once again.

I had them add the corned beef hash ..just right

The food was delicious and really great service. Our waitress was on top of everything including refills. Love the waitlist option. We are definitely going back. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful.

Virtually no wait time! We were on our espresso martini hunt again and these were great with a nice foam on time. It's a bright face paced diner vibe. Everything form the the walls to the bathroom is very cutesy and good for some cute brunch pics with your girls. The breakfast tacos were the best thing we tried. Never skip the strawberry basil mimosa when you pick out your flavors. Don't forget to add yourself to the waitlist online if you think about it before hand.

I had heard that this place had good food, but because the price point was a bit higher than average, I wanted to try it for myself before bringing my family. The service was attentive and friendly. The food, however, did not meet expectations. I found the deviled eggs to be overcooked and a bit rubbery while simultaneously lacking flavor. The presentation was nice but I care more about the taste than how it looks. The Tavern Smash Burger does not seem to know what it wants to be. The patties were thicker than a traditional smash burger, lacking the juiciness of a regular burger while also missing the caramelization of your typical smash patty. The accompanying "Chef's Sauce" for the burger was not particularly flavorful and there was not enough acidic content to counter the fattiness of the burger. The bacon that topped the burger was cubed pieces that were chewy and frankly off-putting, and I found myself wishing for crispy bacon strips instead. All in all, I really wanted to love this place, but I just don't. The food wasn't terrible, but also nowhere near good enough to justify the cost or make me want to stop back in.

He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and did a great job! No complaints. Food was delicious and portions were generous. I had the pineapple glazed shrimp and it was amazing! The second time, we came for lunch and had quite a different experience. Our waitress was young and seemed to be inexperienced (or not well trained?) It took forever to get our coffee. In the meantime, my soup arrived and it was lukewarm. I had to ask for it to be reheated. Flavor was good at least but it appeared to have been microwaved. Waitress was very inattentive. My order came out well before my mother's. I asked for a "warm up" on my coffee, and the waitress microwaved my coffee (she didn't add fresh hot coffee to the cup). She didn't know that's not normal. The waitress was very nice but didn't know how to be a good server. Aside from temperature issues, the food was very good. Nate and I stopped by on a Saturday morning to try some of their seasonal drinks and get a light breakfast. The menu includes some hot food items (breakfast sandwich and quiche) and a small selection of pastries. We got a bunch of things to share: banana bread latte, a breakfast sandwich, slice of broccoli ham quiche, and a cherry almond scone. Everything came out on a counter near the ordering area and they called out our name. The drinks were tasty but I preferred the robin's egg cold brew the best. The banana bread latte didn't have a lot of banana flavor; it mostly tasted like the spices you'd associate with banana bread. I really liked the food we tried. The quiche was one of the best I've ever had. I'm actually still thinking about it days later. The texture of the egg was silky and custardy, not at all spongy or dry. I thought it was divine but if you don't like that texture, it is not for you (flan-like). The breakfast sandwich was a bit bland -- I asked for hot sauce but they couldn't find any. I appreciated the texture of the biscuit, and the egg was also tender (not as custardy as the quiche). I don't usually like scones as they tend to be dry, but theirs was flaky, buttery, and delicious, with a very almond-forward flavor. I would definitely order more quiche and scones. There were quite a few people coming in for pickup orders on a sunny Saturday morning. If I lived closer, I think I'd come here often. I'd be curious to try some of their take home items or lunch.
