Great service, great food! I wish the wait time was less but thankful for the ability to join the wait list ahead of time.

This ended up being a very enjoyable part of my visit to Grand Rapids. I had an early start for my day, which meant I was able to get in and be seated immediately when I arrived. As I was leaving you could tell that they were getting busier. Service was very friendly throughout my visit, and I was pleased with the bright welcoming nature of the room itself. I wanted something a little lighter for breakfast and went with a yogurt parfait. It was absolutely terrific. Wonderful granola prepared with freshly sliced berries and a delicious honey glaze. I would 100% get this again if I were able to come back. Pricing was completely fair for the quality of food that I got. Hope to return someday! read more

I love brunch food so I'm so glad I finally got to try Brunch House! I heard it gets really busy on the weekends so I went today around 11 and it was only a 5-10 minute wait. I appreciate that their waiting area had some chairs. Their dining space has plenty of seating as well including booths, tables and bar seating. The food took 20 minutes but they were getting pretty busy when we were sat down. They have a rotating limited time menu so I had to get something off of there. I got the strawberry shortcake stuffed French toast and strawberry lovers, this one is for you! The French toast had the same topping as the classic strawberry shortcake ice cream that I love and it came with fresh strawberries and strawberry glaze on the side. It was delicious! My bf got the bacon skillet and it came with 2 fried eggs and a side of pancakes or toast. My bf is a picky eater and he enjoyed it! The food came out quickly. The staff were friendly and prompt. The setting had a very chill vibe. The bathrooms were clean, that's one of the first things I check, that'll tell you a lot about an establishment by how clean or dirty their bathroom is. I would recommend this place to anyone. OH MY. This place is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. There is always a long wait - I recommend checking in on Yelp prior to when you want to go. The wait time was pretty in line with what we were quoted. I ordered the Cali scram - it came with choice of pancakes or toast and I had the pancakes. I added the blueberry streusel on top of the pancakes which was delicious. I would highly recommend. Wow crazy busy - went Saturday @10 am, 2 people. Said wait was an hour. Fortunately we were able to get right in sitting at the bar. Bartender was great, attentive but not overly so. Yummy brunch and lunch spot! Went on a Sunday afternoon and jumped on Yelp to get added to the waitlist. Tip: set a reminder on Yelp because the wait time for a 1:00pm timeframe was over 160 minutes! The Yelp wait time is pretty accurate in my opinion. Ordered the chicken and waffles: they come with chicken strips cut up on top of 4 triangle waffles. They were good but just personal preference, could have done without the red pepper flakes on the dish. Also, had the veggie omelette with added sausage and the small pancakes. I will say their drink and cocktail list had a good variety of unique options. Ambiance is modern and stylish with bar area seating with a tv as well as dining area. Pros- huge menu with so many yummy and unique options as well as the classics, seasonal specials, large portions, great flavors, vegan milks, fast and friendly service, kid friendly Cons- you may have to wait! In town for a wedding and a quick Yelp search told us this was the spot for breakfast. We were there on a Friday morning and we had to wait a short time, so I can imagine on a weekend you need to definitely keep that in mind. The restaurant is bright and cheery, and everything looked good on the tables as we walked by as we were seated. I went with a special- Bananas Foster French Toast and it was as fabulous as it sounds! If I were to get it again I would have the sauce in the side as there was so much it got overwhelming for me, but that says more about my eating issues than the food itself. Our wait staff was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations on things to do while in the area (go to the nearby Meijer Sculpture Gardens!) so we were super grateful for that as well. What might have ended up in a negative review was prevented by a timely & skillful intervention from the manager, Bobby. He replaced a rather unpleasant interaction with another staff member with a patient & thorough explanation of unexpected change in our wait time. He LISTENED to our concerns and found an acceptable solution without replacing the humanity of the interaction with an IPad screen shoved in our faces. Recently I visited the Brunch House in Grand Rapids. It was an experience for sure. Our wait was 3 hours long. We realized going on a weekend was not a great choice. Every table was full. We had a party of four and our group enjoyed their choices and the prices were similar to all the breakfast restaurants in the area. We paid $50 for 4 meals and a cinnamon roll. The only complaint was the farmers' scramble. It really lacked the hasbrowns they seemed more like they were sprinkled in but everything was visually appetizing too! The waffle was excellent, crispy and fluffy! We also loved the pancakes. The cinnamon roll is a frosted topping and that was also very soft and delicious. Service was good but very slow I don't think our server had enough time to check in on us because of how busy she and the entire team was which is understandable. The restaurant is located in a strip mall where parking is limited! We drove around quite a bit to get an open spot. Overall I would visit again and try other menu items! read more

I came here for the first time over the weekend and it did not disappoint! I got the acai yogurt bowl and the portion was huge! It reminded me a lot of cafes they have in Florida with the modern and vibrant colors. I will say, this place gets extremely busy and probably one of the busiest brunch spots in Grand rapids. You can join their waitlist through your phone which is highly suggested. Otherwise when you get here you might be waiting 1-2 hours to be seated. It is located in a busy strip of Forest Hills and you might have to walk a little far but the parking lot is pretty big and wraps all the way around to behind The Pantry. This is my favorite restaurant in Michigan. My best friend and I come here for our friend-iversary every year. The waitlist system is a bit odd as you have to wait on a second list after checking in, but it's absolutely worth it. The breakfast tacos are AMAZING. Love the staff and menu and drinks. sorry, I've been gone for a while last year's been crazy. Sold my house, moved into an RV resort into an RV. Perfect place for the great grandkids and family. Lots of eating at home. But periodically we would get out and I will start with the most recent, and hopefully we'll get to go out more and I'll be able to give more reviews. Now on that note, I had a doctors appointment which led us to a place. We've already been to before which was the brunch house. You can't go wrong at the brunch house, and you certainly can't go wrong with any of their Benedict's. Nor their mimosa bucket. Excellent food once again, excellent service and very clean nice place for brunch. They do close at three and we were around the clock, but they served us like we were their first customers. Firstly, the wait time was over an hour and a half so put in reservations early on their waitlist and anticipate you'll be eating during true 'brunch' hours. We came for a late brunch on a Sunday. The food was really, really good. I had the chicken and waffles (which had a little spice to it) and a side of shredded hash browns. Others in our party had the classic eggs Benedict, the Nashville hot chicken Benedict, and the complete breakfast bowl. Everyone was very happy with their choices! The service was good and attentive without hovering. The ambiance was nice with a clean, minimalist interior. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was very loud. The waitlist feature was especially convenient -- we could see exactly where we were in line and easily keep the whole group updated. Our server, Nick, was outstanding. We came in on a Sunday morning around 8:45am and we got placed on a wait list - party of 3, and we were told about 20 minutes, but it ended up being around 10. Our drink orders were taken promptly upon being seated. Service all around was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Ambiance was bright and casual. My husband got the breakfast tacos with chorizo, my BIL got the breakfast burrito with bacon and hash browns, and I got the chicken & waffle with an additional side of 2 eggs. We also ordered an iced lavender honey latte and an iced matcha latte. While not separately itemized on the menu, you can get sides/additions of things, such as eggs, bacon, etc. PROs: Everything was delicious! The batter on the chicken was tasty. Not too salty or anything, and it was a good amount of crisp. It's actually one of the best chicken & waffles I've had. My husband and BIL loved their dishes as well. Service, again, was friendly and attentive. They promptly filled empty water and coffee cups and checked in a couple times. CONs: The lavender honey latte was a bit too sweet/syrupy. As for the matcha latte, the matcha powder was poorly mixed in so it's basically just milk with gritty bits of matcha floating around. The drinks also seem disproportionally expensive compared to the food. Also, there's a 2.99% credit card surcharge. Not sure if there's a minimum spend, but we spent around $40 for our check so I'm thinking it might be a universal thing, but I wish that was made known up front. For people coming into the restaurant to get a table, 10:50 AM approx 1-1.5 hr wait. 11:45 AM approx 2-2.5 hr wait. JOIN THE WAITLIST VIA YELP! Loved sitting at the bar. Great service! Love the modern upscale upgrades. Limited Specials Menu: ORANGE CITRUS BLACKBERRY PANCAKES with sea salt dark chocolate pieces - loved it! Melt the chocolate in between the hot pancakes. You can taste the orange in the pancakes. Medium sized so go for three! Not listed in the specials menu, but make it a combo to add eggs and meat on the side. CORNED BEEF HASH - I won't get this next time. A steaming pile of mush and wayyy too salty. I absolutely love this kind of hash when there's a nice crunchy crisp from a flat top grill. (Go to Keiser's Kitchen in Lowell!) HOT MATCHA LATTE with oat milk has a strong bitter matcha flavor that I love. Had to stir it a few times as it would separate while sitting. HOT CHAI LATTE with almond milk using Oregon Chai mix - less sweet (preferred) than Biggby. Champagne Flights and all the Bloody Mary options looked fun if that's what you enjoy.
