These people are in the wrong business! I hardly care about the ambiance because the staff is more than half of that. There was this Asian woman dressed in a t-shirt and leggings with her socks over leggings up to her shins. Slippers was the choice of footwear. Very uninspired attitude and it's obvious that she hates being there. Kinda "I'm trapped in this dump of a restaurant" look and demeanor. Very well English and sounds like she grew up in the U. S. , but damn she was rude AF!! Breakdown on the food: 1. Miso soup - luke warm 2. Lemon chicken - breaded fried chicken chunks with a disgusting sweet sauce with a hint of lemon peel. 3. Scorpion Roll - might as well be eating a real scorpion because the fried shrimp in this roll was just glad yo get out of the freezer. Not good at all and the sauce that they smeared on the plate was had a vague taste that did not complement the roll. 4. The sushi- was offensive..not so fresh, most likely edible enough but we couldn't get out of this restaurant quick enough. I had to take a bite of the sucky lemon chicken just to get the taste of the super salty eel sushi. No, I did not dip it in anything. I only eat ginger with eel..a perdonal preference. First time here and I was really impressed. First, I really do not like sitting at a sushi bar, and this restaurant has very comfortable booth seating. I love sushi but my husband doesn't and this was the perfect restaurant for us. My husband got a Chinese entree and I got my sushi. The menu options are huge and they have a really nice luncheon sushi menu that was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. read more

The food was really good and piping hot the way we like it. However, the staff was incredibly rude. We came in for lunch and we're asked if we could be helped as if we weren't supposed to be there. I looked around and saw no customers so I asked if they were open to which she replied "yes, for two?" I confirmed, she walked to a table, pointed at it with her back to us and said "over there." There was a toddler running around the restaurant throwing toys on the floor, screaming loudly, grabbing restaurant supplies (broom, menu, silverware) and banging on the tables or pushing items on the floor. Staff took turns being with him. The same woman who led us to our table took our order and was not friendly. We ordered drinks and two entree items, one of which I asked to be extra spicy and she said "anything else?" We said no and then I said "oh wait, I'm sorry..." She turned and rolled her eyes. I asked if I could get a cup of soup and she nodded her head and walked away. A different staff member delivered our food and walked away without asking if we needed anything else. I would've liked to have had some chili sauce but no one ever came back to ask. Although good, my dish was not spicy at all. A third staff member refilled our drinks and was silent. The man who brought our food brought the check without saying anything. By the time we left the toddler was still running around. Still, not a single other customer had walked in. All staff but the gentleman who refilled our drinks, who was now watching the kid was gone. As we walked out he yelled out a quick "thank you." Unfortunately it didn't make up for the entire visit where we felt uncomfortable for being there. Sadly, we won't be back. I really only ever get takeout from here, I eat from here very often. I always get the same dishes usually, shrimp chowmein and shrimp fried rice, never have complaints. These are signature dishes for me, I like the portions and I think they're delicious. Their lunch specials are about $9, depends what you get, I do the mongolian chicken and I've tried the beef and broccoli and shrimp with vegetables. You pick the main dish and get a side of steamed rice or pork fried rice and get a soup to pick from, I do miso. These specials are m-f, from 11-3pm. In terms of service, it's usually friendly but I can't speak to the service you receive when you sit down and eat as I only do takeout. However the many many times I've been in, the atmosphere has been pretty quiet. read more

This was my first time coming into this establishment, I called the order to go. It seemed like the operator was a lot younger than usual when I walked into the establishment I walked into a two-year old kid running around as if this was a child daycare, I picked up my order to go. If that wasn't enough, I asked my orange chicken to be extra crispy, but instead they insistent it was already crispy enough. I also asked for sauce on the side and the 12 year old girl eating an ice cream bar filled my sauce containers. I don't understand how this place is open. Very disappointing how the food tastes also. I used to order food from this place all the time from 2021 through 2023 and really liked their food. I went in person for lunch a handful of times and the service was okay, I never ordered the sushi options since it didn't seemed fresh to me when I went in person, but the rest of the menu was good. I went there in person on the weekend, since I was in the area with my mom to show her a good place to eat, now both the service and food quality has declined significantly. I don't know if it's new ownership, new cooks, new employees or all of the above. We walked in and the place was emptied except for the employees. Several tables were not bused, the server didn't seem like she wanted people to be there since she was doing something else, mind you we were the only patrons and it was in the middle of normal operating hours. When the food came out it wasn't the normal quality and flavor I remembered. My mom also wasn't too satisfied with the flavor. Overall it wasn't a great experience as it used to be. I usually don't do reviews, but I think it's important to share when a restaurant is great or not so patrons looking for a good place to eat they know what they are getting themselves in and adjust expectations. read more

It's hard to rate this one cause the quality and taste of the food is excellent in which case just eating the food I would give it 8.5/10 with a hit and miss on the soup flavor but still delish. The food is always fresh or appears to be and the temperature of the food is hot not cold when delivered to you. I say deliver cause I always order from them with grub hub and was never left down except today when I decided to din in with my family. Now this experience I would rate 2/10 on customer service they really need to improve their hospitality stat! From the point we sat down our waitress never smiled and was short with us. After we placed our drink order my son was playing and spilled his drink all over me and the table. I'm not taking about a little spill it covered the table, half of my right side going down to my toes and through my pants. My sister got up immediately and was looking for a employee to help but didn't find one they happened to be all in the back. She asked for a towel asap and explained what happened. Our waitress came out with our bowl of soup instead of a towel so my sister grabbed some napkins to help me. The waitress proceeded to walk up to our table and tried to place the soup down on a soda covered table instead. When my sister came over with a handful of napkins, she asked the waitress if she could hold on on placing the soup down on the table while she assisted me first. The waitress said she was still going to bring over towel never did. She didn't even ask if we wanted another table so we got up and got ourselves a new booth. From that point on is when their customer service got even worse. When they placed each dish down that came out from the kitchen, they put it down with force as it banged the table top. Each time they came to the table I always said thank you they not once made eye contact, smiled, or said you're welcome. I knew this wasn't their fault as it was mine and my sons from playing but he is only a toddler and kids will be kids. My family and I were the ones that cleaned up the mess except for the stuff on the floor which they mopped up and left the ice cubes on the carpet. After we received our dishes, they immediately brought out the check. They didn't ask if we wanted any refills on water or anything more. We had to ask for to go boxes, and they never once came back to our table. I notice the server's attitude towards the other customers they were smiling and being well mannered I am not too sure if it's because the staff there was having a bad day, but if they were, they should not take it out on us and as I said before. I know it's not their fault the soda spilled it was mine, but we cleaned everything and we very apologetic for this, but they still could've treated us a little bit better. They need to work on their customer service and hospitality. If they wish to run a restaurant or work for a restaurant having manners goes a long ways and for the way they treated us was very disrespectful and rude. The only way I will order from this restaurant is again... will be from Grubhub or some delivery service. I will no longer going to this restaurant because of how my family and I were treated. You know when you get the feeling they want you to leave well that how we felt not only we got the rude attitude but also the eye rolling and snickers they say to each other from afar.. If this is a family establishment and run restaurant please do better! That is the reason why I'm giving two stars it's because of their customer service. read more

The rice was slightly under cooked and the nori is not high quality as it was chewy. The daily soup was gross but as I did not know I was getting it with the lunch special no big loss. The Mongolian Beef was very tasty and had a nice spicy kick with a bit of sweetness. This I would come back for. The fried rice that came with the beef is bland but works to balance out the robust flavor. At $8.95 for the lunch Mongolian Beef it's a winner. read more

Brand new Chinese food and sushi restaurant in Springfield in the restaurant space at the Village Inn hotel. The staff was courtesy and attentive and their covid protocols were on point. The space was clean and well lit as well. I had their Salmon and Avacado roll amd 2 pieces each of their Salmon and Red Snapper nigiri. The fish was super fresh, the snapper was sweet and the salmon was like butter. Their avo was super fresh and creamy as well, these guys definitely know their sushi. My fiance had the General Tsaos chicken with pork fried rice and egg drop soup. She was super impressed and loved every bite. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is that there are almost no tofu options for their entrees. This s limits vegetarians and pescatarians hoping to eat here. My fiance, even though she eats meat, would even prefer a tofu option as she prefers Tsaos as a tofu dish instead of with chicken. Otherwise, fantastic place and we'll be back soon. read more

It has hibachi and Sushi available also with lots of different rolls that I can't wait to try them all. Everything we tried was super good and they were super fast and friendly with everybody. Husband and I are here for the first time last night and eye not disappointed. I had the Mexican roll, the tuna roll and California roll. They were all so fresh and full of flavor. Husband had the salmon teriyaki bento box that came with two good size pieces of salmon. Neither of us left hungry. Went here today around 12:30. The place was completely empty. But for a Sunday it's probably normal. After we ordered people slowly started flowing in until it was getting pretty busy. I ordered the Kirin Special Seafood Deluxe. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The veggies were also very fresh and vibrant. the dish was very flavorful and came with fried rice that was good as well. Wife ordered the dragon roll. It was very good. They did not skimp on the tempura shrimp in the roll. I will definitely be going back here to try other things like the nigiri. I have never left a restaurant without tipping until tonight. We were greeted and seated rather quickly. We were pleased and thought we were off to a great start. The restaurant was not busy. Once seated, we did not see our server for at least 10 minutes. She brought water and took our order. I ordered sushi and my husband ordered a dish named Phoenix and Dragon which is a combo of shrimp and general tsao. My first roll came with literally ONE piece of ginger! The wasabi was dry and crumbly. I'm guessing it was a powdered wasabi that you add water and make a paste with. I was thinking about asking for more ginger but there was no one around. (They did not appear to be understaffed. We saw at least 4 people at and around the kitchen. )That's when we heard yelling from the kitchen. We heard yelling again later. When a different server brought my husband's plate and my other roll, I asked for more ginger. The lady stared at me and looked back at her co-worker. She did not reply to me at all. I was so confused. Then our server walked up with my husband's sushi. She pointed at his plate and pointed at the TWO slices of ginger !! His food looked like a heavy corn starch clear sauce.
