I ordered delivery and tried a few new things! Teriyaki Chicken Onigiri - I've tried this before, still very good Thai Peanut Chicken Skewers - My new favorite, so yummy, wish I got 2-3 Indian Curry Chicken Skewers - Delicious! Spicy Pork Onigiri - I did not like the sauce, but it wasn't bad, nor very spicy. Miso soup - Always tasty. read more

I've been in here a lot over the years picking up takeout orders for the delivery apps. Finally was an actual customer and wow was it delicious! We ordered takeout -- Teriyaki Chicken Plate & the Garlic Pork Plate. Both were super tasty and the pork was so tender! I ordered take-away a few days ago and the lunch was the highlight of my day! Really good quality! I really loved the onigiri- that was tasty. I was impressed by the quality of the tofu and veggies, and how well it was cooked and flavored with spices. The service was really fast and professional, and I also got it delivered via a third party but I was very pleased by how quickly everything came together! read more

I really love this place! I recommend it to people visiting from out of town for an easy and filling lunch or dinner. The stir fried noodles are a huge serving that are delicious and fresh. I love their onigiris for a fun snack (my husband loved it when I surprised him with a couple at an airport pickup). The onigiris come with some tasty slightly spiced pickles that are quite addictive. My favorite onigiris: tuna furikake and sesame kimchi. The entrees come with a tasty salad with a very yummy tahini dressing and excellent toppings (nuts, carrots, corn, etc). Staff is prompt and friendly, order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Bathrooms are shared bathrooms for the building, ask for a key. Another perk, they have an ume grill location at Amazon park pool in the summer. Way better than option regular hot dogs or hamburgers at a pool. read more

Ume is usually the place I go wherever I eat out. I was a regular and then they ruined it for me on 2 separate occasions I had hair in my food so I went in and asked for compensation and they comped me for the cheapest item I was purchasing. I went again and there was another hair in my food. He's picture proof. I hope Ume reaches out to me and fixes this otherwise they have lost a customer for life. read more

Amazing food! It was my first time trying onigiri and it was so delicious. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

This place is my favorite place ever, it's such a simple but delicious meal! I went to college here and ate the teriyaki plate probably a million times! Currently in sf dreaming of this comfort meal the dressing is next level. read more

not your typical sit down restaurant, not even really meant to be a sit down restaurant at all i don't think. you order up front and they give you your food to-go and i just get the vibe they don't really want you hanging out there even though there are many tables and many seats. that being said the food is pretty good. i got the ahi tuna poke bowl and it was good but i don't recommend it for the price of 18$ as it wasn't that much fish, mostly salad. i do however recommend the chicken fried rice, it was so good! i would go again knowing what this place is all about now. read more

The food tasted good, but the service wasn't so great... I walked in to pickup an order I had placed online and the men working there had no hospitality and didn't even speak to me when I walked in. I waited a couple of minutes before just walking up to the counter and asking for my food.. and simple "hi I'll be right with you" could go a long way. read more

During a visit to Eugene, I came here after having a somewhat pricy Happy Hour meal. It was probably a 15 street hike from my hotel, but it was well worth it and I regret not having more tummy space to try more items. I ended up ordering a tofu and tuna furikake. At $3 a piece, it was so simple, yet so good. The prices were reasonable, too. read more

I had never been here before so I wasn't sure what to expect! It's sort of pricey but the for amount of stuff you get it's worth it! I had 2 meals with this and probably could have split it into 3. It was a lot! The taste is delicious and it also didn't take long for them to make it for me. 5-10 mins tops! The inside is clean and a chill environment (at least when I went). The Chicken Teriyaki with Noodles was really good and I would get it again for sure! They had many options. Go give it a try! read more

The food isn't bad, but the people running this place are sneaky. They have a 6.99 teriyaki lunch plate. I ordered it and the cashier asked if I would like to add a side salad. After agreeing to the salad add on, the cashier decided to add $8 per lunch special for salad up charge. An $8 salad? For a $7 plate. This bumped up all the plates up the $15 each. And the salad is spinach with canned veggies, not worth doubling the price. And the place was dirty. read more

Delicious food for great prices! I was introduced to this place from a coworker. They suggested lunch here and I got the garlic onigiri, spicy pork onigiri and the teriyaki chicken skewer! All were amazing, filled me up and was under $10! It was so good I went back the following week and tried the Thai peanut skewer and miso soup! I highly suggest giving this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Almost forgot, my coworker got the tempura sweet potatoes and they were also delicious, so really you can't go wrong with any choice here! read more

I was in a hurry to grab some food before a video meeting and the place I was originally planning on getting food from had too long of a wait. That's when I walked into Ume on a whim hoping they would be speedy enough for me to make my meeting. The time it took for me to walk in, put my order in with the friendly waiter, and wait for the food prep was only a little over 10 minutes. Not only was the service quick but the food was freaking awesome! I ordered a lot, which always happens when I'm starving. I got fried tofu with peanut sauce, 4 veggie pot stickers, and a tofu udon. I saved the udon as leftovers since the fried tofu and pot stickers were filling enough. When I had the udon the next day it still held up. I'm so happy to have accidently discovered this place and I am so ready to try the other veggie options they have on the menu. read more

For starters, they added an automatic gratuity to my credit card even thought the "service" consisted of punching my order in and slapping the food onto the counter for me to pick up. We had Garlic Pork and Spicy Pork - EXACTLY the same dish except they splashed some hot sauce on top of mine. Salad included canned corn, canned beets and nothing of actual interest. Soy sauce had to be the cheapest nastiest stuff available, it was bitter and extremely salty. read more

Place was solid! Food was good, especially the brussels sprouts. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will be back!

Decided to check out this new spot for dinner, right next to the Starbucks on Pearl & 18th Inside it was cozy and super casual. Order & pay at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. The menu has a good variety. Skewers, bento plates, sushi burritos, and small bites. The skewers (peanut chicken, curry chicken, bulgogi pork) were really good. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the pork was solid as well. Our sushi burrito was pretty decent. You are allowed to pick 4 toppings and some sauces. I regret not choosing a pickled topping, as that would have made it much better. Hopefully in the future they will have some custom sushi burritos with toppings/sauces already chosen for you. Sometimes having too many options can be stressful. The teriyaki edamame was a nice twist on the standard, and I appreciated the big cloves of soft roasted garlic mixed in. They have a couple beers and a cider on tap, as well as a Coke fountain. The people working were nice and our food came pretty quickly. I'm looking forward to returning and trying some stuff I missed! read more

This is a pretty small place and on walking in I wasn't entirely sure - but the reviews were good and I wanted just a skewer and some miso soup so we ordered. Really glad we did! My peanut chicken had great flavor and was perfectly cooked. It was set on a few leaves of baby spinach that picked up the sauce and wilted ever so slightly from the heat of the chicken. Yum! The miso didn't have any tofu - but was super salty & delicious. My sister enjoyed her chicken soba noodles - lots of vegetables made the plate look great. If there's time during this visit to Eugene I'll be back for a sushi burrito. What a concept! read more

Food was not very good, service was pretty slow and not that friendly. I'm all about tipping for good service and good food, but they put an automatic gratuity on your bill... perhaps the owners should pay their employees more, and they wouldn't need to put an automatic gratuity on your bill for crappy food and not very good service. If the pay/management is the reason why the employees are not very friendly, I do not blame them. I understand how it is. Everything was put in to go containers even if you eat there, and that's pretty weird/off-putting. It's like they want you to leave. I had the garlic pork and it was so dry!! The amount of time we had to wait seems very strange, considering this meat seemed like it had been sitting in a pan on the grill all day. Also, there was no flavor to any of the food and they don't give you that much sauce. It's just not worth the money, in my opinion. It was so lackluster and depressing that I don't ever imagine myself going back. read more

Food is decent for the price, I ordered chicken katsu plate for 16 dollars for to go but they didn't give any utensils. This cheap ass restaurant is trying to save money by not giving any utensils.. Ahi tuna poke, salmon poke and chicken teriyaki are all solid and satisfying entrees. They all come with a generous salad, and seaweed salad that is sweeter than I'm accustomed to. They're pretty quick with service and staff is friendly. I ordered the teriyaki chicken cupbowl with kimchi, egg, and gyoza all for $8.50 and it was a perfect size for me. I love how so much flavor was pack in a cute little "cupbowl". There weren't that much chicken in it probably like 3-4 small pieces but the gyoza & egg was a need. My bf ordered their chicken katsu plate with spicy mayo on the side. That plate was huge! It came with Tahini sauce but we didn't know what the sauce was for but it tasted good. We loved that the side salad came with almonds. Lots of flavors and textures it was such a great meal we loved it. Definitely would come back here again whenever were in Eugene. read more

A really nice place to grab a bite in S Eugene. Especially recommend the chicken teriyaki plate.

Consistently good food. The lunch specials are the perfect amount for a reasonable price

I just spent $25 for the miso salmon plate to be delivered (tip, service fee...). I requested easy rice and extra salad only to find no dang dressing was packed in the order. I called Ume to clarify if that's an extra fee and they said no, apologized but proceeded to suggest I request a refund via UberEats. I'm not going to penalized the driver cause you all goofed up. Common courtesy would be to take my info down and offer some type of discount for the next visit. Now I'm stuck using crappy dressing instead of that yummy stuff I was so looking forward to. Why is basic customer service not a thing anymore?? read more

This is my favorite yakisoba in town!! Comfort food for when you want that tummy sweater of noodles and veggies. Their food is always super fresh, and their sauces are on point. The portion sizes are great too. Their onigiri are pretty big, I think I'm a big eater and can only do two in one sitting. Their sushi burritos and skewers are bomb. If you're getting skewers, go ahead and get the plate with rice and veg, you'll want three of them anyway : ] Plus they have sesame balls! Mmmm. read more

We just picked up an order (a couple of spicy pork onigiri and the $19 spicy tuna poke) & for the price, quite shy on the tuna portion and the onigiri sort of weirdly crunchy and perhaps not quite as fresh as they could've been. I love the place down at 24th and Hilyard. read more

Whoa! I was super impressed with Ume! I'll definitely be back to try some other items on the menu! First off, I came during the highschool lunch rush, yet my food didn't take that long to get to me, which is pretty cool considering how busy it was. It's crazy how the mood of the place changed so quickly in the span of 15 - 20 minutes after the highschool students left. I loved it! It went from being chaotic, hip, and loud to a chill, laid back environment with good music. It's the best of both worlds in one sitting. I had the Chef's special: cranberry goat cheese salad. It was HUGE and filling. Great fresh ingredients. The candied walnuts are delectable. They put on just enough vinegrette to be flavorful without drenching the salad. It was a good balance. I always hate it when all the tasty tidbits of a salad get eaten up with the first few bites, and that did NOT happen! I still had cranberries, goat cheese, and walnuts at my very last bite. I also had a teryaki chicken skewer. I loved the sesame flavor. It was unexpected (even though it's sprinkled with sesame seeds, my taste buds were still surprised) and delicious. I love how the teryaki sauce was a carmelized glaze over the chicken. Yum! It also came with spicy cucumbers. They are briny (they're pickled but not a pickle, if that makes sense) and spicy. They are made in-house, and I liked the unique flavor. Customer service was friendly, and I could tell the people there love what they do. read more
