Favorite sushi spot in Eugene so far! Price was fair, portions were lovely, sashimi was divine, rolls are fat, server was enthusiastic with the charisma of ten men. Decor is classy without being pretentious, and they even offered to switch the big screen to the Ducks game . LOVE the selection of saké. We came in because our go to conveyor belt spot was closed and were surprised to find this sushi joint no longer does conveyor belt style sushi. We stayed and ate, everything was SO good. I ordered something I normally wouldn't as did my son and needless to say we had no leftovers. Totally acceptable dinner experience, we would repeat. Vegetable Gyoza fine not excellent but ok. Tofu skin veggie rolls very good. Chicken hot plate- meh on the side of steamed cabbage, but the meat was good and plentiful. Probably some of the best AgeDashi tofu I've ever had! Appreciate the hot house sake & Sapporo on tap. This sushi restaurant has excellent food and a pleasing decor inside. We went here on a recommendation from a friend and were very satisfied. We started with some hot and cold tea and a small warm house sake and some garlic seasoned edamame in the shell. These edamame were delicious and kept us happy until the main courses arrived. My daughters had miso soup which looked pretty hearty for miso and they liked it. For dinner, my daughters had tempura avocado, cucumber roll, and veggie delight roll. My wife had the seared salmon roll and I had the Crazy Monkey Roll and a house salad. All the food was prepared fresh as you can see the workers in the open kitchen making non-stop sushi. When I first walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. Even though they have a sushi belt in addition to full-service tables, I didn't feel like the belt and belt bar detracted too much from the experience as a table customer; the tabletops are granite, the chairs are comfortable, and the lighting is balanced. It's not as upscale feeling as Bamboo Sushi in Portland or Sushi Pure a couple blocks away, but it's definitely better than I expected. I ordered the Chef's Choice Sushi Boat, which is a three-course, two-person meal for $25. It comes with two miso soups; an actual boat filled with sashimi, nigiri, avocado rolls, tuna rolls, and shrimp tempura rolls; and two pieces of mochi ice cream. I managed to eat all of it as a very hungry party of one, but it's plenty to share for two at a reasonable price. The fish was well-prepared and fresh, and the rice had a good consistency and taste. The salmon roe was also an excellent touch. I prefer nigiri and sashimi, so the shrimp tempura roll didn't appeal to me much; however, if you like sweeter rolls rolls, you'll likely enjoy them and their moderately sweetened krab filling. The miso soup and mochi are a great addition to the main course, and the latter is served with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a maraschino cherry. Overall a solid place, go for some miso soup and chef's choice nigiri/sashimi and you'll be happy! read more

Avoid if you like real Japanese food. The poke was just a few pieces of sashimi swimming in a thick syrupy soy based sauce. There were lots of chopped up onions and other fillers. If you've ever had poke in Hawaii, you'd hate this version of it. The hamachi roll had wafer thin hamachi (rendering it tasteless), on top of very loosely rolled rice and whatever was in the inside. It was so loose that the whole thing would fall apart when I tried to pick it up with my chopsticks. The tempura was fried in obviously overused oil. It came out with that brown old oil look. Our kids' bento boxes were nothing special. The gyoza were deep fried and totally tasteless. My kids wouldn't eat them after a bite. Oh and service was horrible because they didn't have enough staff. My wife had to go and grab our own utensils after the waiter brought out the food. The server hadn't bothered to make sure we had proper service sets. When we asked for our water to be refilled the server deposited a carafe of ice water because she was just too busy to actually serve us. This was a totally disappointing experience. read more

A very long time ago, this was actually the first place I ever tried sushi. For conveyor belt sushi and the quality the prices are definitely on the high side. Are there more affordable conveyor belt sushi places in town with equal or better quality? Yes. The ambience is definitely nicer than your typical conveyor belt sushi place. The inside looks very nice. The service is usually top notch. The sushi quality, however, can be inconsistent from my experiences. Here's the thing. When it first opened there were limited options in Eugene for sushi...and actually quality Asian food in general. That's simply not the case anymore as Eugene's food scene in general has vastly improved. For me, Sushi Station has just kind of remained status quo while other, higher quality alternatives have emerged. I'm giving them 3 stars for their consistently good service. read more

Toro nigiri was prime, and not terribly expensive either. Everything else I got was nothing worth writing home about. The yakitori and ankimo lacked the depth of flavor I've experienced elsewhere. We've lived in Eugene for quite a while and were feeling pretty unenthusiastic about the sushi scene. We have high expectations given our love of travel and food...we've been able to enjoy some of the best sushi in the world on our adventures, and this little hidden gem is fabulous! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, seated and treated like royalty. The food was fresh and flavorful, the fish was tasty and of high quality. We enjoyed several unique dishes, sashimi, nigiri and a roll before we finished it with their signature fried cheesecake for dessert. It really is hard to find good sushi for a reasonable price in Eugene and I still have yet to find it after trying this place for the first time. I would have given 3 stars but what really bothered me was when I called to order I asked if when their menu said "crab" vs "krab" if that meant that "crab" was made with real crab versus the imitation stuff. They said yes and confirmed that what I was ordering was real crab. After waiting an hour to pick up our order we were disappointed to see that two of the 4 rolls were filled with imitation crab. The flavors of the other rolls were ok, but underwhelming. For $65 we were let down and won't be back. Also for almost $5 we received barely any edamame in our order. read more

Sometimes getting a lot of quantity at a sushi place over quality ain't that bad of a thing. More often then not its what you get at Korean/Chinese owned sushi joints. I ordered the Hwe Dup Bap (On the menu as Spicy Sushi Donburi) and the bowl was..... phat. Big chunks of fish, greens, and a lot of rice thrown into a bowl that could have easily been two orders. Spicy sauce is A+ (Chojang) Rolls don't cheap out either as they are pretty monstrous hunks of rice and slabs of fish in comparison to other places. They also for some reason give you a side of rice with every donburi just in case you aren't stuffed already. Service was spotty but our charismatic rookie waiter was miles better then any of the other experiences we've had in Eugene. So there you have it - Big quantity that makes any hungry soul happy but at the cost of quality/authenticity which may turn off hardcore sushi fans read more

I love sushi. It's my favorite food group. But I have to make exceptions to my vegetarian diet every time I decide to have sushi. Which has turned me into a little bit of a sushi snob. If I'm going to eat fish it better be the best fish. Unfortunately, our recent trip to Sushi Station was just...ok. The staff was very lovely and very friendly. The interior is decorated really nicely. The food was just underwhelming. We always opt for the bar to pull from the moving belt. The price of the sushi depends on the color of the plate. There were no options available within the $1.75 range. A light sprinkling of $2-$2.50. Yet, many options of the higher priced plates. I am not a fan of cucumber and I had to deface a lot of the rolls I pulled because they all had cucumbers in them. Compared to other Sushi restaurants in Eugene this is just not one of my favorites. Sushi is such a special treat for me that I would like all of the boxes checked, unfortunately, there were too many misses at this location. Doesn't mean I won't go back again. The environment of the restaurant was so nice that I am willing to give them another shot. Maybe this time order specialty rolls off the menu rather than the default rolls available at the bar. read more

We had to sit down and wait for over an hour before our food got to us. We were offered no drink menu and we had to slurp soy sauce as we waited. In a way you feel bad because clearly they were unstaffed but this was unacceptable. Maybe this could be understandable if it was packed, but the place was empty. Back in Eugene... my daughter and her boyfriend frequent this place. They said it was great with very fresh fish. I was worried but said I'd try. Upon walking in the place was spotless, nice layout and we received a very friendly welcome. The staff was very attentive and the sushi chef was not lying when he said everything was fresh. The tuna and salmon sashimi melted in my mouth. I also had the yellowtail collar and it was cooked to perfection. Great specialty rolls too. We've been here a couple of times and have had really good sushi each time. A nice open atmosphere inside, with friendly, attentive service. Cucumber salad is light, yummy and nicely presented. Rolls are fresh, flavorful, and fish is always good quality. Veggie tempura roll is so yummy, but so fat that it's hard to eat (too big for one bite, buts falls apart if two bites). But as a tempura fan I love this roll. Also tried the spicy tuna roll, Hawaiian roll, and spider roll. All were really really good! Will keep coming back. read more

Went here for the first time recently. The food here is okay. I've had better at Sushi Ya for cheaper. The rice was a little mushy. The employees acknowledge our presence immediately upon walking in. And our server was attentive. At 8pm on a Saturday, there wasn't many people. So we were seated immediately. I like the decor inside. It was clean. For three rolls and salmon nigiri and a large house sake, it came up to about $56 before tip. I'd probably come back if the rice were better; it's an essential part of the sushi. read more

Best experience I have had in Eugene. I worked at another sushi restaurant here in Eugene and......and wow the difference was radical. I walked in and could smell how clean it was. I was so impressed with their service on a busy night. The restaurant was almost full and we enjoyed everything we ordered. My partner tried salmon belly for the first time and was very impressed.
