I was pleased with neat packaging upon arrival. The broth lacked truly rich depth. I don't want to make the claim that the broth is instant, but it certainly wasn't as rich or deep as other places that I know make their broth in house. However, I ordered a side of chili oil as well. When I added the two together, the flavor had so much umami and was balanced well. The toppings were fantastic as well. The eggs perfectly cooked, and the chashu pork was so buttery soft. My boba tea was just as good as any other boba shop around. Overall, pleasantly surprised and will order again in the future.

We stopped in this evening before the 6:00 dinner crowd and were thoroughly impressed. The space is super clean, and the tasteful wall decor perfectly complements the humble layout of six tables and a five-seat kitchen bar. We kicked things off with a few appetizers, and every single one hit the mark! The Shrimp Tempura (my go-to favorite) was beautifully light in batter, Chicken Gyoza was incredibly delicious and moist and the crispy Veggie Kakiage was impressively non-greasy. For the main course, my husband enjoyed the Spicy Gyudon Ramen. The beef was incredibly tender and the broth was deeply flavorful. I opted for mild Katsu Shio Ramen and absolutely L(*‿*)VED it from the very first sip to the last drop! OMG this is truly some of the best ramen we have ever had! In fact, the Katsu was perfectly golden and moist that I ended up polishing it off first while waiting for the broth to cool down! L(･‿･)L. Everything arrived perfectly timed, even as the tables filled up. ヽ(*‿*)ノ Thank you to Dat and the team for a GREAT dining experience! We will definitely be back to try other menu items. #RamenLovers (･‿･) #SupportLocalJax @ Karai Ramen Bistro-Beach Blvd.

I ate both in bites of broth and on my bao. I've had a better bao but seriously nothing to complain about here. The chicken was well seasoned, not dry but not juicy. The broth was not as spicy as I would have liked. The ramen noodles were acceptable. I'm definitely headed back for the omurice! Can't wait! Not sure why all my menu photos didn't show up. A Delicious Experience at Modu Ramen!…read more We recently had the pleasure of dining at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows Road, and what a wonderful experience from beginning to end! One of the highlights of our visit was getting to meet Chef Kim, who came out personally to speak with us and walk us through the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes, flavors, and ingredients, which made the experience feel so much more personal. You can truly feel the passion he has for what he creates. ‍ And a big shoutout to Christian, who took such great care of us throughout our meal. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It made us feel right at home. We started with the Vegetable Gyoza and Corn Croquettes -- both were delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For ramen, we had several different bowls so we could experience a little bit of everything: Beef Bulgogi Ramen -- tender beef bulgogi with chicken broth, a soft egg, Naruto, and bok choy. One thing I really appreciated is that if you don't eat pork, you can substitute the broth, making it easier to find something that works for your preferences. Curry Tonkotsu Ramen -- rich, flavorful curry broth with chicken, mushrooms, and corn. So comforting and packed with flavor! Vegetable Curry Ramen -- a delicious option for veggie lovers, with that wonderful curry flavor and plenty of satisfying ingredients. Of course, we couldn't stop at the food! Mango Sake -- fruity, refreshing, and such a fun pairing with the meal. Butterscotch Latte -- sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious. A perfect little treat alongside dinner. And then came dessert... and this was definitely something special! Mango Bingsu -- light, refreshing, and full of mango flavor. Tiramisu Bingsu -- such a fun twist on traditional tiramisu! Creamy, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. What I loved most about Modu Ramen was that it wasn't just about having a good bowl of ramen. It was the whole experience -- the welcoming atmosphere, Chef Kim taking the time to personally explain the menu, Christian's wonderful service, and all the different flavors coming together to make the meal memorable. If you're looking for a place to enjoy comforting ramen, creative dishes, and genuinely warm hospitality, Modu Ramen is definitely worth adding to your Jacksonville dining list! Modu Ramen - One of the Best Ramen Experiences in Jacksonville!…read more What an incredible meal at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows! This was easily one of the best ramen experiences I've had in Jacksonville. The flavors were so authentic that with every bite, I felt like my taste buds were taking a trip back to Japan. I loved that the ramen is customizable. You can choose vegetable, chicken, or pork broth, adjust the spice level, and select from different curry and spice options. This makes it easy to create a bowl exactly the way you like it. We tried the Vegetable Gyoza, Corn Croquettes, Beef Bulgogi Ramen with chicken broth, soft egg, naruto and bok choy, Curry Tonkotsu with chicken, mushrooms and corn, and Vegetable Curry Ramen. Every dish was flavorful, and the portions were generous and hearty. The Beef Bulgogi Ramen was a standout for me, with an amazing combination of Japanese and Korean flavors. The curry ramen had a wonderful depth and authentic spice. The broths are incredibly rich and flavorful, and you can substitute the broth if you don't eat pork. I've had similar styles of ramen in Japan, and Modu Ramen really brought back those flavors. The spice, depth of flavor and overall authenticity were outstanding. My taste buds were honestly in food-flavor nirvana! And I have to mention the Mango Sake--my favorite drink of the evening! We also enjoyed the Butterscotch Latte. For dessert, we finished with Mango Bingsu and Tiramisu Bingsu, both delicious and a refreshing way to end such a flavorful meal. Chef Kim was amazing and personally came out to talk with us about the menu and the dishes. You can tell he takes great pride in what he creates. Christian provided excellent service--friendly, attentive and quick. Modu Ramen isn't just another ramen restaurant. The combination of authentic flavors, customizable bowls, generous portions and Korean-Japanese influences makes this place special. If you're looking for some of the best ramen and authentic Japanese flavors in Jacksonville, Modu Ramen should definitely be on your list.

One of My New Favorite Lunch Spots!…read more I really enjoyed my lunch at Ginger Bistro. Sometimes you find a restaurant that gives you exactly what you're looking for--really good food, generous portions, and prices that make you want to come back again. This was definitely one of those places. I had the Bento Box, and I was honestly impressed. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and there was a really nice variety of food. It's a great lunch when you want a little bit of everything without spending a fortune. The sushi was also excellent--fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. I kept telling myself, "Okay, this is the last piece," and somehow another one kept disappearing. What I really liked about Ginger Bistro is that it feels like a place you can come back to regularly. You don't need a special occasion--just come hungry, enjoy some great Japanese food, and leave happy. Great food, great lunch prices, and a really enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back!

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy.
