The food here is great. The special to get a Raman and an appetizer is great. Their selection is a little limited, and they can take things out of the ramans but not substitute items, which feels like a money grab. If you're craving a delicious Raman and you're not too picky of an eater, this place is great. The service is good and the vibe is funky.

This was located in Durbin Pavilion. There was ample parking and seating. The menu was vast with a variety of ramen selections as well as other dishes. Our hostess who was also our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty. The restaurant was airy and spacious with Asian decor. If you want quick casual dining after shopping this a great place to go!

I never had ramen before and this place did not miss! It was a nice and intimate setting! The food was even more gratifying. I was inspired to make my own ramen dish at home!! Service was ok, it got a little busy and was inattentive for a bit but overall not too bad. I love ramen and am glad I took a chance on this spot, definitely will be back for more!!

Recently tried this new spot In Durbin and I will say they did not disappoint. We had the wings which were crispy and full of flavor, and the poke bowl which was filled with so much flavor and packed with so much protein as well. I am still craving them. Nelson our waiter made sure to provide great service and made great recommendations. I can't wait to go back.

Kinya Ramen & Yakitori - St. Johns, FL Address: 495 Durbin Pavilion Dr #103, St. Johns, FL 32259 Hours (typical):* Sunday-Thursday: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM* Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Date of Visit: 01/03/26 My husband, daughter, and I decided to try Kinya Ramen & Yakitori for the first time, and the food was absolutely AMAZING. All three of us agreed it was worth every penny. The flavors were incredible, and the quality of the food truly stood out. That said, I do have a couple of complaints. First, the dumplings felt like false advertising. The picture on the table gave no indication that they would be so itsy-bitsy. At $5.95 for only three very small dumplings, they felt overpriced and should definitely be reevaluated. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the service. It was really poor, and the timing of the dishes was completely all over the place. Our server never came back to ask if we needed refills. He took my order and my daughter's order, but my husband was still deciding because what he originally wanted was unavailable. The server said he would come back in a minute, but never did. We actually started receiving our food before he returned to ask if my husband was still planning to order. This made the experience frustrating, especially when dining with more than one person. The bad service and disorganized timing of bringing out the food took away from what could have been an excellent experience. Overall:The food was outstanding, but the service and pacing need serious improvement. If those issues were fixed, this restaurant would be fantastic.

Have visited this place three times now, and every single time, the ramen is top and appetizers don't disappoint. Our waitress was super friendly and remembered that we liked a side of hot oil. Place is clean, and has lots of day light. Will definitely come back and try more from the menu.

I had their Gainesville location and was impressed. Decided to skip out on my favorite ramen spot and give Kinya in Jax a try. We ordered the Kinya Ramen... The thickness of the pork broth with the black garlic oil accompanied by the marinated egg, the seared pork, bamboo and green onions was amazing! We also had their pork buns which have cucumbers in it, so different but delicious, makes the buns feel more light and fresh. The servers were super tentative and kept an eye on the table the whole time. The restaurant was nice and clean and had a pretty chill vibe. I wish it wasn't so posh or upscale, I was expecting it to have a bunch of anime and manga themed stuff... that would have been cool

Great ramen place. Being in Florida, we don't often feel the need to get a hot ramen dish. But when we do, we typically head to Kinya. Quick seating. Staff is effiicent at taking our orders and food prep doesn't take long. Been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. They also have a nice special where you can add an appetizer to any order for a small upgrade cost.

Eat here. Food is delicious. Menu is great. I got a sushi taco just to try it, wow it was a great idea. Bao buns (I know it's basic but they are so tasty) are great. Service was quick. Love this place.

This is my go to spot when I'm going to watch a movie. Especially if I'm on a time crunch. I had the seafood pancake and a spicy Ramen. Since they've opened the menu has grew and I enjoy the taste and options. The speed is also always fast. I love the music that's normally played which is usually a mash-up that is usually a cover of a popular song that sounds classy.

It was sooooo good! Our waiter, Luis, was knowledgeable and attentive. Plus the seats were comfy in the weirdest way. It definitely felt like they were interested in our experience! We started with the buns...so delicious. Fresh, well made, soft on the outside, flavorful on the inside with a bit of crunch from the veggies inside. Very well done! I got Tonkatsu and he got the Tonton. Both were steaming hot, lots of savory broth, the noodles, meat and veggies were plentiful and tasty. We also got the red bean dessert, I don't remember what it was called, but it wasn't my favorite, he loved it! Highly recommend!

    Poké bowl
    Trey C.

Just wasted my money on this Poké bowl. This place used to be good when it first opened, now the quality's completely gone down the drain. They thinks it's funny because I cut out majority of the ingredients in the actual bowl but that's only because the quality's so bad. I made the mistake of ordering pick-up from here again despite my better judgement and quickly remembered why I hadn't eaten here in so long. The sea weed is atrociously bad it tastes like something out of a sewer. The fish quality is probably comparable to a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, the only thing that was slightly tolerable to eat was the rice, onion flakes and avocado. I had to dump all the fish and sea weed out and ended up adding some old beef I had left over in my fridge to the bowl for some protein. WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!

My wife and I ate lunch here for consecutive days. Food was delicious and came out quickly. Service was spot-on. First visit: * Chicken Yakitori * Steak Yakitori * Shrimp Yakitori * Shrimp Tempura Sushi taco * Kinya Ramen * Tonkotsu Ramen * Seafood Pancake * Soy Garlic Wings * Mochi Ice Cream Next Day: * Kinya Ahi Nachos * Chicken Yakitori * Shrimp Yakitori * Pork Belly Yakitori * Pork Buns * Chicken Chashu Bowl We were stuffed. Forgot to order their green tea ice cream for dessert. Will have to come back for some.

We stopped in this evening before the 6:00 dinner crowd and were thoroughly impressed. The space is super clean, and the tasteful wall decor perfectly complements the humble layout of six tables and a five-seat kitchen bar. Our server, Dat, was incredibly welcoming and set a wonderful tone from start to finish. We kicked things off with a few appetizers, and every single one hit the mark! The Shrimp Tempura (my go-to favorite) was beautifully light in batter, Chicken Gyoza was incredibly delicious and moist and the crispy Veggie Kakiage was impressively non-greasy. For the main course, my husband enjoyed the Spicy Gyudon Ramen. The beef was incredibly tender and the broth was deeply flavorful. I opted for mild Katsu Shio Ramen and absolutely L(*‿*)VED it from the very first sip to the last drop! OMG this is truly some of the best ramen we have ever had! In fact, the Katsu was perfectly golden and moist that I ended up polishing it off first while waiting for the broth to cool down! L(・‿・)L. Everything arrived perfectly timed, even as the tables filled up. ヽ(*‿*)ノ Thank you to Dat and the team for an incredible dining experience! A Delicious Experience at Modu Ramen!…read more We recently had the pleasure of dining at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows Road, and what a wonderful experience from beginning to end! One of the highlights of our visit was getting to meet Chef Kim, who came out personally to speak with us and walk us through the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes, flavors, and ingredients, which made the experience feel so much more personal. You can truly feel the passion he has for what he creates. ‍ And a big shoutout to Christian, who took such great care of us throughout our meal. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It made us feel right at home. We started with the Vegetable Gyoza and Corn Croquettes -- both were delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For ramen, we had several different bowls so we could experience a little bit of everything: Beef Bulgogi Ramen -- tender beef bulgogi with chicken broth, a soft egg, Naruto, and bok choy. One thing I really appreciated is that if you don't eat pork, you can substitute the broth, making it easier to find something that works for your preferences. Curry Tonkotsu Ramen -- rich, flavorful curry broth with chicken, mushrooms, and corn. So comforting and packed with flavor! Vegetable Curry Ramen -- a delicious option for veggie lovers, with that wonderful curry flavor and plenty of satisfying ingredients. Of course, we couldn't stop at the food! Mango Sake -- fruity, refreshing, and such a fun pairing with the meal. Butterscotch Latte -- sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious. A perfect little treat alongside dinner. And then came dessert... and this was definitely something special! Mango Bingsu -- light, refreshing, and full of mango flavor. Tiramisu Bingsu -- such a fun twist on traditional tiramisu! Creamy, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. What I loved most about Modu Ramen was that it wasn't just about having a good bowl of ramen. It was the whole experience -- the welcoming atmosphere, Chef Kim taking the time to personally explain the menu, Christian's wonderful service, and all the different flavors coming together to make the meal memorable. If you're looking for a place to enjoy comforting ramen, creative dishes, and genuinely warm hospitality, Modu Ramen is definitely worth adding to your Jacksonville dining list! This was easily one of the best ramen experiences I've had in Jacksonville. The flavors were so authentic that with every bite, I felt like my taste buds were taking a trip back to Japan. I loved that the ramen is customizable. You can choose vegetable, chicken, or pork broth, adjust the spice level, and select from different curry and spice options. This makes it easy to create a bowl exactly the way you like it. We tried the Vegetable Gyoza, Corn Croquettes, Beef Bulgogi Ramen with chicken broth, soft egg, naruto and bok choy, Curry Tonkotsu with chicken, mushrooms and corn, and Vegetable Curry Ramen. Every dish was flavorful, and the portions were generous and hearty. The Beef Bulgogi Ramen was a standout for me, with an amazing combination of Japanese and Korean flavors. The curry ramen had a wonderful depth and authentic spice. The broths are incredibly rich and flavorful, and you can substitute the broth if you don't eat pork. I've had similar styles of ramen in Japan, and Modu Ramen really brought back those flavors. The spice, depth of flavor and overall authenticity were outstanding. My taste buds were honestly in food-flavor nirvana! And I have to mention the Mango Sake--my favorite drink of the evening! We also enjoyed the Butterscotch Latte.
