Firstly, I want to say the food I received was delicious and the man working was very kind, but I will not be returning due to the wait time I experienced. I waited almost 2 full hours to receive my food. I arrived on Sunday at 1:00 PM, there were 2-3 people waiting for food ahead of me that had already ordered. I overheard 2 of them complaining about the wait, but I figured since they had parties of 3-4 it was taking a bit longer. I placed my order at around 1:10 and was quoted that it would take around 40 minutes since the food was being made fresh. I almost left, but decided I really wanted to try the food and had a few errands I could run in the meantime. Fast forward after running errands for around 45 minutes, I come back at 2:00 and I'm told it will be about 10 minutes longer. This continues until 2:55PM when I finally receive my food. AGAIN, the worker was incredibly nice and offered me punch/small portions of the Jerk Chicken while I waited... but STILL.... I waited 2 hours and I was the only person there the last 1 hour of my wait. I do not think this was a one-off scenario since I heard multiple other groups complaining about the wait time as well. I would recommend ordering over the phone beforehand if you want to come here because waiting 2 hours for a food truck meal just cannot be justified. read more

This serves your food quickly and hot, which is my favorite when I waited way too long before having lunch. The food truck lot is easy to find and there want plenty of open parking on Sunday afternoon. There are many picnic tables around the shaded trees in between the trucks where you can enjoy your food. You can't miss this Jamaican food truck. The beef patty was delicious. It was full of meat and it tasted very good. I also liked the taste of both meals. The oxtail was not very fatty and it had plenty of meat. The rice and beans were also very good. I didn't love the dessert bc it was coconut and I don't like that flavor in my sweets but my partner enjoyed it and had it all. I liked coming here and then going grocery shopping at HEB and Trader Joe's nearby. read more

Man oh man, fabulous! You are in for a treat here. I've only ordered the jerk chicken and it is full of flavor. It has a kick for those who don't do spice well. My partner tried it (his family is Jamaican) and agreed how delicious it was. The portion size is decent. I feel a bit bias because I'm pregnant and always want more chicken. Make sure to order your patties and coco bread! They are quick too. You can expect your meal to be ready in about ten- fifteen minutes if that! This place is absolutely amazing. I tried the Curry Chicken and a little bit if Oxtail with a Tropical Rhythms juice and I was floored by how incredible every single thing was. The curry chicken is tender and flavorful. This is a picture of the "small" portion. This is easily two meals for me. It's the best chicken dish I've had in longer than I can remember. The oxtail just falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Braised to perfection, seasoned so well I'm probably going to dream about it tonight. The veggies and rice and plantains: Holy crap. I don't even like rice and I am going to clean my plate (eventually after getting through the leftovers. Seriously, the portions are huge!) Finally, the owner is such a kind, funny, awesome dude! Very pleasantly surprised. I took a chance and ordered some jerk chicken from here and it didn't disappoint! The chicken was moist, thoroughly cooked, and spiced generously. It was served with shredded cabbage and rice with pigeon peas and plantains. All were delightfully wonderful. I must say for a food truck in a small tucked away lane behind Randall's this place packed a punch in the dish I got. Curry chicken came with tender chicken, plantains, some really delicious veggie/cabbage mix nicely spiced and aromatic bean rice served in generous proportions. My Indian roots make me a sucker for strongly flavored food and this food truck delivered it for me. I would rank it even better than some of the Indian restaurants in town. Tried the jerk chicken meal and oxtail meal. We got the oxtail at the recommendation of the very friendly man in the truck. Both were outstanding! The small was a good size. The jerk chicken was not too spicy, but built throughout the meal. Incredible smokiness. The oxtail was very tender and the rice/vegetable sides were surprisingly delicious on their own.
