I want to like this place because it is close to my work and they serve bean and cheese pupusas, but I'm not sure I can. The chicken and sides are ok, nothing to write home about. The pupusas are pretty good, so why the low rating? Because the people here only speak to me in Spanish despite me talking exclusively in English and telling them that I do not speak Spanish. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and I think it is incredibly rude. I've been here 3 times and while I like the pupusas, I'm not sure I can be a patron of this establishment purely for the disrespect they show their customers. read more

Wow, I can't get enough of this place. The Bistec a la Pobre is phenomenal - super tender beef, plantains, and French fries and topped with a fried egg. I came back to try the pupusas and was equally impressed. Quality, reasonably priced Peruvian food. And on top of it all, the staff is extremely courteous and friendly. When I went to pick up my most recent order, I almost left without my side of rice. The employee who rang me up nearly jumped the counter to make sure he gave it to me! Portions are HUGE. I had the Lomo Saltado with the red beans and rice as a side (I almost feel that they gave me too large of a plate) and it was cooked perfect and fresh. The Lomo Saltado and the green sauce was much better than many many sit down restaurants that I have had. Green sauce was just right. Loved the meal. My wife ordered Pupusas, Yuca, and Plantaines and there were great and perfect. Id give it 5 stars except the place could use a good cleaning and change in storage for their supplies. read more

Worst service. Twice in a row they "ran out" of chicken. This time I ordered carry out and waited 30 minutes, I saw people come in and order after me get chicken, but then they happened to run out of chicken when I went in and asked me to wait again. When I told them I already waited 30 minutes, the guy behind the counter said, fine you can go then and made go away gesture. Couple of months ago, I went in and they had plenty of chicken, but they claimed they didn't have chicken and ALL that chicken was for someone else. Don't trust their posted hours, staff starts closing down well ahead of time because "it takes a while to clean up". Never been to a place where the hours posted is when the staff shows up and leaves not when they serve customers. Will not be coming back! read more

I was truly disappointed with this location. They close at 10 o'clock I called probably 5 times at 9:20 no 1 answered the phone I get there by 930 and The doors were locked someone was inside eating but no one from the staff said anything about it being clothes in the meantime the open sign was still lit. I don't appreciate the fact King if he went to the bath their Room that they wouldn't answer the phone nor did anyone even look up at me when I pulled the door to see if it was open they looked down and lacked in joke as if I wasn't standing there. The food is ok but their customer service is SHIT, if you go in there or call anywhere near 9 pm they will say they no longer have pupusas or chicken or rice but you can clearly see they still have it or that the grill is still dirty some people are just plain lazy and don't want to do their work this has happened to me on 2 different occasions I will no longer recommend that my coworkers order from here read more

I was there around 11 o'clock walked in and none of the employees had protective gear on, no mask, gloves and when I told the guy at the register I would give him some he reached over to the right and pulled out a pack of mask I told him why don't you have them on and his response was, later. If that wasn't bad enough when I got home with my order I noticed I had more chicken then I asked for got to digging in and 3/4 of the chicken was not as fresh the rest, I'm a little disappointed on this visit we are going through deadly hard times we need to make sure to be safe you would think the owner makes the employees take this serious for public safety read more

Delicious food with very good prices! I had their heaping plate of Lomo Saltado for $9 and it was pretty good. Not quite as good as some of the other places nearby like Aguaymanto Grill off of Westfields Boulevard, but you can't complain when you compare the price and quantity of food. Service was a bit slow and the seating was limited. I would definitely return again. Their location is kind of a bad spot too, because the afternoon rush hour of 50 makes getting there from the East side quite slow. read more

Great peruvian chicken here. I have been numerous time and my order has always been delicious. I can only review on what i get which is my consistent order of 1/4 white chicken, salad and yucca. this order is always on point and definitely a filling lunch portion. Great price too, i can get a huge lunch for around $6 bucks! ONE caveat- the spices used to make the chicken so delicious is very aromatic so i wouldn't advise dining in here or you'll come out smelling like a peruvian chicken :) read more

I really liked the Pollo Guisado (a kind of chicken stew). I was taking a class nearby and didn't have much time so this was a fast and very tasty place to eat several nights straight. I had the same thing every time so I didn't sample a lot of their different things but I loved the green and yellow sauce mixed together and the pupasas are delicious. There is plenty of parking in the small strip mall and the service was fast and friendly. They also have Jaritos Tamarindos which I like a lot. read more

Peruvian chicken is ok here. If you're expecting el pollo then i wouldn't recommend coming here. I really go there for their beef stew. The Carne asada is also good. Their side food is also decent. The yucca might be on the dry side but everything else is good. Service there is great and relatively fast. I say give it try if you're in the area. read more

Wow. Just had the chicken and yucca witt this pasta dish that were all excellent. Chicken was juicy and yucca was crispy which is the bonus. Spaghetti in a creamy red sauce was not expected but it was quite good. A little scared to try the lomos on the first try but I look forward to that next. Think they deliver as well. read more

The chicken is absolutely great, even the sides: Beans and rice, yucca, plantains. Their yellow sauce is particularly delicious. Everyone working there is very friendly. If you dont take your order to go, there are a few tables to sit at and a large tv that is usually playing sports. read more

This was the second Peruvian chicken place that I have tried in Chantilly and while the food was good, I had to give fewer stars than Aguaymanto simply because it is smaller and I liked the chicken and sauce a tad better at Aguaymanto. King Pollo is just as cheap and has more side item choices so it is still a great choice if you are craving some delicious chicken. Just don't expect to eat there as seating is very limited. It is also in the same strip mall as El Fresco, which I also love, and the parking lot is very tiny so it can be hard to find a place to park. read more

Great location, amazing portions and prices. I love this place... You eat more here than in a sit-down restaurant which is 3x the price and you have to give 20% tip so this is a great option if you're hungry but don't want typical fast food. Being from NYC, portions and prices are important to me when it comes to dining. I even think eating here is cheaper than Chick-Fil-A :) Giving it 4 stars because the chicken sometimes can be dry and rubbery. They should work on improving how they roast the chicken. I had a half chicken plate with green beans and red potato salad. The dark meat and salad are five star. The white meat and beans are three. The white meat was a little dry is why and the beans were very bland. I would get the dark meat quarter with potato salad and a different side next time. read more

Agree with everyone that the portions are huge. The half chicken at 9 dollars is more than enough for both my wife and I (if you split it, ask for another plate to make it more manageable as they heap the sides on). The chicken is as good as any other place, but what sets this place apart for me are the sides. The spaghetti is like Chef Boyardee, which may be good or bad, but as I'm a big fan, I was loving it. The mac and cheese is more of a macaroni salad, but again, very tasty in the Chef Boyardee sense. If you get the yuca, you can dip them in all the yellow sauce you want as they have several bottles on the tables. Not the nicest place inside, but we'll definitely go back for the food! read more

5 stars for the chicken flavor and tenderness, choice of sides and generous portions. My 4 year old ended up eating all of the chicken and we had to go back and get a pupusa, which he also ate most of it. $5.99 for 1/4 chicken dark and two sides. Macaroni had more mustard flavor than cheese. Rice and beans are more Central American style with red beans. The pupusa is a little bigger than other places, similarly flavored but really oozed with cheese. If you like spice, then the green sauce has real spice. Otherwise the yellow mustardy one is ok or you can mix the two. The decor is more of a grab and go environment. If you're all about the best food flavor you dine in. I saw a lot of carry out from diff types of people and assumed they were on the run or would rather set their own ambiance to scarf down the food. read more

The food here is absolutely fabulous... It is authentic and original. The staff are marvelous and always smiling and happy even at 6:30am in the morning. The women working here always seem to brighten my day when I visit, they have big smiles and warm hearts. That warmed potato salad and the onion salad is some of my favorite sides, there are a few things on the menu that I am yet to try but everything I have eaten so far has been of high quality and authentic. read more
