I came here with my coworker who wanted to try this place out since he was in the mood for some of Peruvian food. I ordered the lomo saltado (Beef with rice and fries) because I wanted to match it against others within the area. The meat was VERY delicious and well seasoned...but was slightly overcooked. It was more on the chewy side and was difficult to cut with a knife. My colleague had a chicken dish and he stated that it was a little on the salty side but was still tasty. So at least the flavor is there so this place definitely has potential! As for the service, our waitress was very polite and she was attentive when we needed anything. The only bad thing was that we had to wait 40min for our food and there were others that were able to order and leave when getting take out. I won't blame any specific person, but if you're the only table waiting for their food while others are able to eat... But overall a decent spot to try! I just hope the wait times could be lowered. read more

For me, customer service is extremely important. Customer service keeps me coming back. I've had multiple incidents where employees have lacked professionalism and mannerism. Some employees are plain rude and careless. Anyways, I will give credit where credit is due. The food is tasty. Here are some of my recommendations: - Cebiche de Pescado - Cebiche con Jalea - Desayunó Peruano - Anticucho de Corazon My personal favorite is the cebiche con jalea which is fish cooked in lime juice with fried seafood, yum! I also liked their desayuno peruano. It is a traditional Peruvian breakfast. I would have liked to have given them a higher rating but as I stated, I really think this place needs to work on customer service. Their food is great but it doesn't cost anything to be kind. I came here to eat a cuy dish, and i was horrified. The cuy meat was definitely expired, it had a weird taste and smell. If i had eaten that, i would have ended up in the hospital with food poisoning. This was a horrible experience, and im never going back there. Customer service was alright. Food was terrible. I ordered a Seco de Carne de frijoles and it was terrible. The main issue was the meat they used the wrong meat and only got served 1/3 of what is usually served. So one small piece of meat and there was barely any taste to the dish entirely. The other dish was Ceviche de Pescado. Terrible. You can tell that they mixed lemons with the store bought container lemons juice. If you regularly eat ceviche, there is a huge difference in taste. Very disappointed and waste of money. This was my first time ordering Peruvian food and I felt confused.. is it more like fusion food or something else?? Anyway, I apparently ordered the wrong noodle dish and instead of getting pesto I got more of an asian noodle inspired dish. Food options seemed to be a mix of Italian, asian, american, ceviche or.. guinea pig. Weird to order their "spaghetti" and get like a flat rice noodle, IDK I'm so lost here and don't think I'll be back personally. Absolutely terrible! Waited 45 minutes after staff took my order of three breakfasts. No one told us of a delay or nothing. Not to mention the place was not following guidelines with the amount of people in the store. The waitress spilled coffee on our table never came to clean it up. This place is a hidden gem! It's located off of Corporate Dr which, as the name suggests, is a road full of corporate buildings. I wouldn't even have known that such a great restaurant was back there, without the help of my Yelp app! The servers are all very very friendly. The menu is super cheap compared to other Peruvian restaurants ($5 for papa rellena!). I ordered a causa de pollo for my appetizer, which was amazingly delicious! For my entree I ordered a Jalea con Ceviche combination and it was HEAVEN. The fried calamari, shrimp and fish were sooo good in the leche de tigre from the ceviche. For dessert we ordered Picarones which tasted just as fresh and tasty as the ones you buy on the street in Peru. They also had Turrón de dona pepa which is sooo difficult to find here! I've never seen it offered in a Peruvian restaurant before. Overall, I wish it wasn't 1.15 hours from my house and I wish they were open a little bit later at least on the weekend. Good Peruvian restaurant with traditional food. We ordered Anticucho and "Ronda Marina" which is a sampler dish of Ceviche, Tiradito, Jalea, Arroz con Mariscos and Tuna Causa. Portion size was good to share for two people. All the seafood was great. I like the tiradito and ceviche with their thick lime sauce. I plan to come back to try other dishes. To improve the Anticuchos were a little bit on the dry side and the service was slow. read more

We were just at the restaurant overall the food was very very good, we got a Lomo Saltado, Ceviche Mixto, Seco de Res, Chicken with rice. The food came out very fast 15 minutes, I was impressed. Costumer service was very good. When we got the check they charged us the tip, we had a party if four people. Don't get me wrong we give a bigger percentage tip. This is one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in Nova. Their dishes are authentic and taste delicious. Favorite ones are Tacu Tacu con Seco, Tallarines Verdes and Arroz con pollo. I don't think their seafood dishes are their best, but their comida criolla is Def in the top. Also, their service as most cheap small places unfortunately isn't good. So try their potato appetizers and the Tacu Tacu and you won't be sorry. read more

Went here for lunch and had Lomo Saltado and Papa huancaina. The lomo was very good and was a large portion for lunch. The huancaina sauce was pretty good but I prefer it spicier and thicker. Great place for lunch and their lunch menu has options for everyone. Service was a little slow for it being lunch time. read more

Review based on my visit 3 months ago: I lived in Peru for a few years so I know what REAL Peruvian food should taste like. After trying out several Peruvian places in NOVA, this place truly deserves a 4 star rating. Our waiter was very friendly and even gave us a tasting portion of the Chicha (purple corn drink) and of course we ended up ordering 2 large jars of it. Location: Like many people mentioned, it is very hidden and it is at an odd location but food is fantastic! Must Order: Seafood Rice- Arroz con mariscos (we swallowed our 1st order and placed another order because it was soooo good!) I saw a review earlier and sounded like if they might have changed chef/owner. If that is the case, what a shame.. :(. The owner of the place was very nice and told us about a Peruvian Independence day festival in Arlington. We actually went to that festival and enjoyed our time there! read more

This place is absolutely amazing, I'm Peruvian and my dad and I try to go to many places to see which one reminds us more of home and this one certainly brought us there. Food is perfect and the staff there is great. I think a problem has been that people are so accustomed to being waited and served, that they don't realize that this place isn't like that. Not worth it! The food was horrible.. Lack of salt or taste... I dont know if they changed owners or something but it was bad. The drinks need more sugar and they need to update their quality. the food here is terrible. The arroz chaufa had way too much sesame oil in it. the soup my wife had was pure vegetable oil. Not only that but it took forever to get service. The bathroom was dirty like it was rarely cleaned. We attempted to contact them over their facebook but when we voiced our concerns there, the woman that owns the place called us liars and racists. so yelp will let true reviews be shown. This is really not a good place to go. save yourself some money and go to wendy's. you'll be happier.
